SeaThru is a new, waterfront, modern home. SeaThru was inspired by the mid-century modern homes from our area, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture.
This homes designed to offer more than the standard, ubiquitous rear-yard waterfront outdoor space. A central courtyard offer the residents a respite from the heat that accompanies west sun, and creates a gorgeous intermediate view fro guest staying in the semi-attached guest suite, who can actually SEE THROUGH the main living space and enjoy the bay views.
Noble materials such as stone cladding, oak floors, composite wood louver screens and generous amounts of glass lend to a relaxed, warm-contemporary feeling not typically common to these types of homes.

Schwartz and Architecture
SaA was hired to design a state-of-the-art 2,100 sq ft recording studio and performance space. We negotiated the purchase and disassembly of a rural barn in upstate New York. The lumber was then graded and coded in Texas and shipped to our site for a modern-day barn-raising, deep within a Redwood grove. The studio is a part of a larger design for a family retreat, including five new or renovated buildings on this wooded 80-acre site.

Michael Norpell's Wall To Wall
Neighbors knew this house as the "spooky" house on the block because of its overgrown front yard. I removed all the brush and sliced an opening through the existing stone garden wall. I designed a modern, geometric stamped concrete entry walk to lead your eye front to the front entry door. Mass plantings of native ornamental grasses and blooming perennials provide a sustainable and low maintenance front landscape design.

ProTEK Painters
Another shot of the ProTEK painters hard at work. From this angle you get an even better idea of the difference the new black color makes to the house. On the right-hand side, just above the window, you can see some damage/weathering to the wall. The team will finish these repairs, with methods and material appropriate to the damage and siding type, before painting the area. This ensures the paint adheres to the wall.
