Legal Eagle Contractors

Our experience with Legal Eagle Contractors was disappointing, to say the very least. Was sold on the claim that “skilled contractors” had worked with Legal Eagle for decades and that the project would be a quick three-month turnaround. The contractors were neither skilled nor did they have any longevity with Legal Eagles, as they were subcontractors whose work product was shoddy and in need of later repair. Several of the subs were fired by Legal Eagle during or just after our renovation. The project supervisor (Enrique Sifientes) had never managed a renovation prior to ours and was fired by Dan Bawden (Legal Eagle) after our train wreck of a renovation. Of course, this did little to redress our failed renovation, which actually took 14 months and was not finished, as Legal Eagle Contractors abandoned the project. This occurred because I foolishly paid ever invoice when the work started, so walking off the job did not result in any money being lost to Legal Eagle. Maybe Legal Eagles was top notch once but the bloom is way off the rose. We lived in our home during the remodel and blocked off the back part of the house. Sadly, I came home on more than one occasion and workers had pushed through the barricade and wandered into bedrooms. Yes, things went missing. This was a 6-figure remodel. Legal Eagle was also creative with the accounting and would start facets of the remodel, get paid in full for that segment but then stop. When we complained we were warned that Legal Eagles could walk off the remodel and that Legal Eagle had other projects going and financially it did not make sense to send whole crews to knock out our remodel (as we already paid too much and flipped the job). If you still wish to do business with Legal Eagle I would suggest you write into the contract a completion date and specific provisions about who is doing what work and qualifications. Adam P. The Legal Eagle crew handled our bathroom addition with no problem. From design to close out they were honest and easy to work with, two important traits in this industry. Will use them again for my next project.

Extensive preparation for demo work. Highly competent subcontractors. Beautiful work done efficiently! Expensive, but worth it! Need I say more?

Other than DIY projects, this is the first time I have remodeled any of my three homes. For the projects I planned, Legal Eagle Contractors was recommended by a trade organization. Dan Bawden came to the initial walkthrough well prepared, bringing lists of prior customer references, suppliers he recommended, issues I may encounter and how they'd be addressed, and warranties. During the walkthrough, he asked questions, listened to me, made suggestions about new products and ADA retrofit for aging-in-place possibilities. The final projects included major remodeling of the kitchen, master bath, and office, and all house flooring being replaced. The Project Manager kept me abreast of the daily/weekly work schedule, the Designer gave me her recommendations when asked, and minor warranty issues were addressed quickly. The trades people used were competent, friendly and courteous. I cannot recommend Legal Eagle Contractors highly enough. They are a very professional company.

Dan and his crew are great! They have been doing this a long time and run like a well oiled machine. I had all new plumbing put in. The whole house was re wired including new electrical service. Kitchen was a total redo. The utility room was moved out of garage and into the house. New roof. Beautiful screened in porch added in the back. Support beam in garage that was about to cave in replaced. All the contractors were friendly craftsmen that I felt comfortable having in my home. Legal Eagle is high quality and very responsive to the client. I highly recommend this contractor.

We’ve done a number of projects with Dan over the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. His project management team and subs are great to work with and take pride in what they do.. Having worked industrial scale projects, I appreciate his emphasis on taking time to plan the work.

Legal Eagle did a home remodel for us and it was an excellent experience. The job turned out great and was just what we wanted. They were responsive and flexible as we progressed the project. The job included a full kitchen remodel, utility room, family room (with custom wood work and built-ins for entertainment system), entertainment system, new flooring throughout the house, fresh paint through out.
