This tiny, 600 square foot, house is built almost entirely with building materials from A.B. Martin Roofing Supply. This do-it-yourselfer used tongue and groove yellow pine for the interior walls, Laminate flooring, MI windows, AJ Doors, and a Clay ABM Panel metal roof.

Tucked away out of sight the owners of this small log cabin in Toronto, Canada wanted to build a getaway that would withstand the test of time. Using structural concrete EverLogs with saddle notch corners and concrete EverLog Timbers, aluminum clad windows, faux metal shingles and real stone this cabin is a maintenance free dream.

Exquisite hand made, Mediterranean style arched double gate. crafted solely from rich cedar wood, stained and fitted with black hardware to bring out the warmth of the cedar.

The back of the property opens onto a laneway. Rather than employing the typical roller door option we designed a custom pair of barn doors that provide a much improved outlook from the home (and the lane!).

Intersecting communal space with unrestricted experience to the backyard. Our Interior Remodel achieved the connection through oversized sliding glass doors. Backyard Studio was intended as a small guest living quarters and "Reading Room".

This beautiful and exceptionally efficient 2-bed/2-bath house proves that laneway homes do not have to be compromised, but can be beautiful, light and airy places to live. The living room, master bedroom and south-facing deck overlook the adjacent park. There are parking spaces for three vehicles immediately opposite. Like the main residence on the same property, the house is constructed from pre-fabricated Structural Insulated Panels. This, and other highly innovative construction technologies will put the building in a class of its own regarding performance and sustainability. The structure has been seismically-upgraded, and materials have been selected to stand the test of time. The design is strikingly modern but respectful, and the layout is very practical.
