The high stone fireplace greets you just to the left of the main entry. This project is 5+ years old. Most items shown are custom (eg. millwork, upholstered furniture, drapery). Most goods are no longer available. Benjamin Moore paint.

This 1950s home got a major update and addition. It went from a modest three bedroom, two bath house to a beautiful five bedroom, four bath house. Our clients were outgrowing their home but loved their neighborhood and didn't want to move. So they decided to modify their existing home to bring it up to speed with their family's needs. The main goals were to enlarge the main living spaces and make the floor plan more open. This was primarily achieved by adding a second story which allowed new bedrooms to be created, freeing up space on the main floor for a larger kitchen, dining room, and living room. The soothing creams, blues, grays, and warm wood tones used throughout help make this home inviting, and the craftsman details add charm and character, ensuring our clients will be proud to call this space "home" for years to come. --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. Our Boulder studio gave this beautiful home a stunning makeover with thoughtful and balanced use of colors, patterns, and textures to create a harmonious vibe. Following our holistic design approach, we added mirrors, artworks, decor, and accessories that easily blend into the architectural design. Beautiful purple chairs in the dining area add an attractive pop, just like the deep pink sofas in the living room. The home bar is designed as a classy, sophisticated space with warm wood tones and elegant bar chairs perfect for entertaining. Williams Door in Boulder.Mahogany Door with a little topography, and some lovely movement. The movement in my doors is what makes each truly unique. Mahogany is the most stable wood of all. Most durable. I have also used other hardwoods (cherry, walnut, teak). With my favorite tool, the bandsaw, I am able to literally turn my sculptures inside out exposing the true middle of the tree, usually the most hidden and protected. Finding the soft, sensual nature inside a rough material is an exciting challenge. For me, warm wood sculptures and doors are a welcome relief from the frantic qualities of today’s world.
