Tropical Bathroom in Horsham, West Sussex Sparkling brushed-brass elements, soothing tones and patterned topical accent tiling combine in this calming bathroom design. The Brief This local Horsham client required our assistance refreshing their bathroom, with the aim of creating a spacious and soothing design. Relaxing natural tones and design elements were favoured from initial conversations, whilst designer Martin was also to create a spacious layout incorporating present-day design components. Design Elements From early project conversations this tropical tile choice was favoured and has been incorporated as an accent around storage niches. The tropical tile choice combines perfectly with this neutral wall tile, used to add a soft calming aesthetic to the design. To add further natural elements designer Martin has included a porcelain wood-effect floor tile that is also installed within the walk-in shower area. The new layout Martin has created includes a vast walk-in shower area at one end of the bathroom, with storage and sanitaryware at the adjacent end. The spacious walk-in shower contributes towards the spacious feel and aesthetic, and the usability of this space is enhanced with a storage niche which runs wall-to-wall within the shower area. Small downlights have been installed into this niche to add useful and ambient lighting. Throughout this space brushed-brass inclusions have been incorporated to add a glitzy element to the design. Special Inclusions With plentiful storage an important element of the design, two furniture units have been included which also work well with the theme of the project. The first is a two drawer wall hung unit, which has been chosen in a walnut finish to match natural elements within the design. This unit is equipped with brushed-brass handleware, and atop, a brushed-brass basin mixer from Aqualla has also been installed. The second unit included is a mirrored wall cabinet from HiB, which adds useful mirrored space to the design, but also fantastic ambient lighting. This cabinet is equipped with demisting technology to ensure the mirrored area can be used at all times. Project Highlight The sparkling brushed-brass accents are one of the most eye-catching elements of this design. A full array of brassware from Aqualla’s Kyloe collection has been used for this project, which is equipped with a subtle knurled finish. The End Result The result of this project is a renovation that achieves all elements of the initial project brief, with a remarkable design. A tropical tile choice and brushed-brass elements are some of the stand-out features of this project which this client can will enjoy for many years. The bathroom adjacent to the primary bedroom in this historic home was a poor excuse for an owner’s ensuite bath. A small single vanity and toilet pushed against one wall and a tub/shower combo with a tiny bit of storage on the other side, leaving a lot of wasted space in between was not fit to be a primary bathroom. By utilizing the window wall in a creative way, the bathroom square footage was able to be maximized. Mirrors suspended in front of the windows solved the issue of placing the vanity in front of them. The shower cubicle was placed on the opposite wall, leaving room for an elegant free-standing tub, to replace the cheap tub/shower insert. Whimsical tiles, custom built-ins, and a heated floor upleveled the space which is now worthy of being call an Ensuite bathroom.

Coastal inspired bathroom remodel with a white and blue color scheme accented with brass and brushed nickel. The design features a board and batten wall detail, open shelving niche with wicker baskets for added texture and storage, a double sink vanity in a beautiful ink blue color with shaker style doors and a white quartz counter top which adds a light and airy feeling to the space. The alcove shower is tiled from floor to ceiling with a marble pattern porcelain tile which includes a niche for shampoo and a penny round tile mosaic floor detail. The wall and ceiling color is SW Westhighland White 7566.

This hall bath, which will serve guests, features a show-stopping green slab stone which we used to wrap the tub, and do an extra-tall countertop edge detail. It brings a soft pattern, and natural glow to the room, which contrasts with the slatted walnut floating vanity, and the off-black ceramic tile floor.

Another project complete! Both of these bathrooms have been transformed into a modern space to do your business. The master bath had the large windows taken out and replaced by smaller one and the entire bath/shower combo replaced with a large luxurious shower with an almond glossy wall and sliced pebble earth floor. It has a rain shower head AND a detachable shower head! The shower heads and sink faucets all in a Venetian bronze finish. The vanity is a gorgeous white with a Taj Mahal countertop. The master bath also has a style drawer pullout for easy storage and use of hair care products! The water closet in the master bath got an upgraded storage unit to be able to fit more towels and linens matching the under sink cabinets. The guest bathroom was styled the same as the master bath and added a matching alder wood painted white linen closet in the hallway.
