Perhaps instead of removable side panels, we have sliding panels - on nice days you slide one of the panels open to let in the breeze. Easier to open/close than dealing with a panel that needs to be hung and stored.

Integrated heaters are nice. Also, I suppose another option for the side panels is to just do something like in this picture... 80% covered with a wood design permanently.

I like the heaters and the retractable sun shades. Also the fireplace/fire pit. Maybe something like these retractable shades could be used in place of side panels to block out wind / rain.

I like the fan.

Too opaque, but I like the integrated gutter and downspout. We’d just need to be careful where we route the water if taking this approach... we’ve had some erosion issues around the sides of the house and now route our downspouts into drains.

Melissa is curious if we can do something to make the deck railing more attractive. I’m not sure what exactly she had in mind, whether the existing railing could simply be repainted (or if what she’s thinking would require replacing it), etc... something for us to think about.

Hoping to keep it more transparent than this. This is a bit too opaque.

Looks nice, though I would want clear instead of frosted glass.

Looks like the covering material you were talking about? They have a reverse slope going into a gutter... probably needs regular cleaning to keep the leaves out, though I like that it would avoid having the rain run off onto the uncovered part of the deck.

Style, colors, fire pit. Also, integrated benches might be a nice touch.

Ceiling fans, railing, furniture, wood stain. Also like the presence of a fireplace and/or fire pit, but not a fan of the stone design.
