My IKEA kitchen components, including an EKBACKEN laminate benchtop/worktop and METOD kitchen cabinets, failed through delamination, swelling and moisture-related deterioration in ordinary domestic kitchen use. The damage occurred in areas where kitchen components should reasonably cope with normal conditions, including around the sink and dishwasher zones. I asked IKEA for proper technical evidence showing that the products complied with relevant Australian requirements and were fit for purpose, including actual test reports, standards references and moisture-resistance information. I was not satisfied with IKEA’s response and obtained independent material supporting my position that the damage was consistent with product failure, including moisture ingress and poor adhesion of the ABS edging to the substrate, rather than faulty installation. I eventually took the matter to QCAT. In case Q5730-26, the Tribunal ordered IKEA to replace the delaminated benchtop and cupboard at IKEA’s sole expense and to complete the repair/replacement within 45 days by arrangement with me. My advice to other IKEA kitchen customers is this: if your EKBACKEN benchtop, METOD cabinets or other IKEA kitchen components fail prematurely, keep your photos, emails, receipts and reports, and do not be afraid to pursue IKEA for a proper remedy.

IKEA est vraiment l'enseigne ou l'on a des meubles très pratiques, customables et leurs services de customisation Plum est vraiment top, moderne dans l'ère du temps et s'adapte à tous les projets. Je recommande pour les petits budgets.

Worst customer service I have ever had!! I am pretty sure I've had better experiences at the DMV. Avoid them at all costs!! They refused to rectify my issue despite the fact that it was as a result of Ikea's incompetent staff. I ordered a couch online. The day of delivery the couch wasn't delivered, but they were courteous enough to send me just the legs and covers (sarcasm). When I called they said that the couch itself was on back order! At no point in the process did I ever get any sort of notification about this. They issued a refund for the the undelivered item but forced me to go to their physical location to order and do home delivery. Once I got there they no longer had any home delivery services going out that day and I had to wait until the next day to get the couch delivered. Why is this a big deal? That day I was expected to host an event at my new place with friends and colleagues, some who went out of their way to make it. Because of this incredible inconvenience caused by Ikea, I had to cancel the event last minute, which was very embarrassing. More over, I wasted hours of my time and spent transportation money I wouldn't have otherwise, going to the location to place the order + home delivery. I had also brought the seat covers with me to swap out for a different color. The next day once I got the couch and tried to put on the new seat covers - it turned out that the rep had given me seat covers for a left sided couch when I had ordered a right sided couch!!!! HOW INCOMPETENT ARE YOU IKEA?!?!?! This required me to go back FOR A SECOND TIME!!! On top of all this, Ikea is refusing to make me whole for all the additional out of pocket expenses it has cost me to rectify the mistakes of their incompetent staff and service. Good job Ikea - you have lost a customer!

We got a kitchen at Ikea 4 years ago. When we decided to change the style of the kitchen, it was very easy to change the doors and other details. Very happy about the results.
