Founded in 2011 by interior designers Krista Schrock and David John Dick, DISC Interiors has been hailed for creating warm modern designs that exude an “enviable California vibe.” Inspired by natural materials, tonal color palettes, and the distinctive work of artisans and craftspeople with whom they work, the duo strives to create homes that are as stylish and refined as they are effortless and comfortable. Krista and David’s combined backgrounds in styling and visual art, respectively, bring distinct yet complementary perspectives on interior design to their practice. Together, they seek out the finest in bespoke furnishings and patinaed vintage pieces to design their projects, which span from California to Maine. The result is homes rich with diverse textures and handcrafted furnishings that balance artful ease with modernity. DISC Interiors is frequently sought after to create exclusive environments and installations, most recently for Living Homes at Dwell on Design and for Woven Accents during DIEM. They are currently designing the 2014 Sunset Magazine IDEA House.

We worked with Krista and David on our new home in Santa Monica Canyon. I had seen their work online and new that we shared the same aesthetic and design sense. I loved working with them, their professionalism and taste bring a sense of elegance and thoughtfulness to our home. Each design choice is considered and worked seamlessly to give us a contemporary but warm home. They were always responsive and prompt, reliable and a lot of fun to work with. I'd recommend them without hesitation!

Krista and David of DISC Interiors are delightful to work with. They are well-organized and thoughtful, have a strength of vision and exemplary taste. We worked as a team on a sizeable job and their ability to knit together the aesthetic wishes and desires of the client with the architecture was highly impressive and first rate. We have gone on to work together on a few other projects and, given the right circumstances, I'm sure we'll continue to collaborate in the future. Hire them!

King Garden Design

I loved working with Krista and David. Very professional and FUN. What a great combination! They were very collaborative and brought me options for every design choice we made. They took my interiors from boring and drab to edgy and stylish. It's been over a year since the interiors were completed and I love it as much today as I did when it was installed. DISC Interiors is a design team that delivers a classic style with a modern edge. Can't recommend them enough!!

I had the pleasure of working with DISC Interiors on Sunset magazine's first Idea House in Los Angeles. The magazine's most important criteria for hiring Idea House designers is that they are emerging talent defining the design aesthetic in their region. DISC represents what is happening right now in Los Angeles. Idea House projects are deadline-critical and highly collaborative with many stakeholders. DISC was always professional in the face of numerous challenges. They are proactive by nature, which made my job easier. Best of all, their work is beautiful.

Disc Interiors styled and selected interior finishes for a prefab home we installed inside the convention center for dwell on design last year in Los Angeles. Under stressful conditions of limited resources and limited time they pulled together a beautiful cohesive thoughtful design for the show. Their talent, intelligence, and personalities are all melded together in the highest eschelons making for a fun and joyous working experience. And we did a show home together! I highly recommend them and am excited to watch as they blossom and flourish and get the projects and the recognition that they deserve.

To anyone reading this review, don't hesitate, DISC is the best and brightest new design firm in Los Angeles. My relationship with Krista and David is of a professional nature. They have commissioned cabinetry and furniture from my company, todosomething LLC. Not only are they a joy to collaborate with, they are two of the most talented designers I know, and I know a lot of designers. Over the past few years I have watched their start-up firm take off like a lightning bolt, producing thoughtful, elegant, and sophisticated interior solutions for each and every client. Their knowledge of design, both present and historical, is beyond their years, and on par with designers I know who have been working for several decades. Expect DISC to be one of the most sought after firms on the west coast in very short order. They are well on their way, already.

Krista and David of DISC interiors have the perfect mix of professionalism and a down to earth sensibility that comes across in their designs. They are extremely personable and really cued into our tastes and personalities. I feel my home and converted garage space would not be even close as amazing without the edited eye and truly unique pieces they created and found for us. We will forever collaborate with DISC interiors on all our projects. I cannot recommend a better fit for true California relaxed style but with a modern sensibility that is just cool.

I LOVE DISC Interiors. I wish I had more rooms in my house so I could keep working with them. Krista and David are a pleasure to work with - fun, efficient, easy-going and they have impeccable taste. They also stayed within my budget, which is rare with designers. They were cool, patient and never pushed me to buy anything I didn't want to. By the end of our first meeting, they had totally figured out my style and space. They were able to take my vision and make it 100x better than I ever could have imagined. My house is so chic, comfortable and gorgeous, I never want to leave. I cannot recommend them more highly.
