The large internal screen and doors in this exquisite W20 Crittall® installation are very much in keeping with the dark, sophisticated décor, enriched with bright furnishings that provide a very comfortable and eye catching living space. The Crittall partitions achieved a separation between the hallway and the living room, keeping outside noise and cold away whilst still maintaining a visual connection and crucially allowing the light to flow between the two areas. The compact hallway is given a feeling of much greater space and the entrance made much more welcoming. The installation has significantly transformed the property with true wow factor appeal. It is difficult to be anything but stunned by this beautiful interior design success.

The Clear Lake Cottage proposes a simple tent-like envelope to house both program of the summer home and the sheltered outdoor spaces under a single vernacular form. A singular roof presents a child-like impression of house; rectilinear and ordered in symmetry while playfully skewed in volume. Nestled within a forest, the building is sculpted and stepped to take advantage of the land; modelling the natural grade. Open and closed faces respond to shoreline views or quiet wooded depths. Like a tent the porosity of the building’s envelope strengthens the experience of ‘cottage’. All the while achieving privileged views to the lake while separating family members for sometimes much need privacy.

This beautiful exterior showcases a custom blend of Atchison grey dimensional natural stone veneer with tans. Atchison is a neutral grey dimensional ledgestone style thin stone veneer. The stone is especially suited for large-scale applications due to the semi-monochromatic tones that will not appear busy over large surfaces. Upon request, we are able to add a splash of color if desired. Atchison is a split back or natural back product and has not been sawn on the back with a diamond blade. The split back will have no impact on the installation or final appearance. Atchison is created using a gang or multi-blade saw where full sheets of stone are fed in one side and consistent 2”, 4”, and 6” strips are produced.

A family home in need of rejuvenation. This property situated in suburban Essex has been instantly transformed with the addition of a wide open-plan orangery. The previous footprint housing an old fashioned and ill-proportioned conservatory that was unusable for several days of the year, being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. The homeowners sought the advice of our team at Westbury, to design and craft something that would remain timeless in style, beautifully balanced and functional as a true room to enjoy throughout the year.

A Vancouver new build pops in a neighborhood full of post-war homes. This custom home was designed in a modern esthetic to reflect a young couple’s happening lifestyle. The working duo plan to start a family so will have little time for home maintenance. At the top of their list of wants were durable, quality materials that perform.
