Heather Garrett DesignCustom locally built dining table designed by For a family wanting a dramatic entry and dining room, but with requirements that it be an indestructible venue for weekly brunches with guest lists including small children! Our first solution was to create a contrasting border integral to the hardwood floor, in lieu of an area rug. From there, we introduced furniture in resilient materials such as fiberglass chairs and a locally made custom table of Heather's design in reclaimed hardwood, steel and acrylic. Luxurious drapes, dramatic accessories and a chandelier with glimmer added the required panache.

Dual Concept DesignA transitional dining room, where we incorporated the clients' antique dining table and paired it up with chairs that are a mix of upholstery and wooden accents. A traditional navy and cream rug anchors the furniture, and dark gray walls with accents of brass, mirror and some color in the artwork and accessories pull the space together.

Roselind Wilson DesignThis impressive monochrome kitchen creatively combines practical kitchen features with a comfortable and stress-free atmosphere. The large space includes beautiful ornate cornicing and a ceiling rose, together with a fireplace as the central feature. The open space successfully weaves modern features like metal, timber and marble whilst maintaining the functional elements of the kitchen. The island unit is manufactured in state-of-the-art laminate to ensure a slick contemporary look that is extremely durable. The units were chosen in a stained charcoal/graphite oak to marry with the bronze and laminate and offset with Carrara marble.

Studio ST Architects, P.C.This large dining room can seat 12-22 for a formal dinner. Custom live edge wood slab table. Wood veneer wall paper warms up the rood and a Metropolitan Opera light fixtures is centered over the table. Room is framed with a floating bronze arch leading to the foyer.

CM Natural DesignsThis adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering.

Lauren Shadid Architecture + InteriorsDining Room Remodel. Custom Dining Table and Buffet. Custom Designed Wall incorporates double sided fireplace/hearth and mantle and shelving wrapping to living room side of the wall. Privacy wall separates entry from dining room with custom glass panels for light and space for art display. New recessed lighting brightens the space with a Nelson Cigar Pendant pays homage to the home's mid-century roots.

MARGARITA BRAVOOur clients for this project wanted help with furnishing this home that they recently moved to. They wanted us to change the lighting as well and make the space their own. One of our clients preferred a farmhouse aesthetic while the other wanted a contemporary touch. Our Montecito studio worked to find a design solution that would make both of them fall in love with their home. By mixing dark metals and weathered wood with neutral fabrics, our studio was able to create a contemporary farmhouse feel throughout the home. To bring in another layer of interest, we worked with a local gallery to find pieces that would reflect the aesthetic of the home and add pops of color.
Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo. She serves Montecito as well as surrounding areas such as Hope Ranch, Summerland, Santa Barbara, Isla Vista, Mission Canyon, Carpinteria, Goleta, Ojai, Los Olivos, and Solvang.

Kelly Brasch InteriorsThese clients were looking for a contemporary dining space to seat 8. We commissioned a custom made 72" round dining table with an X-base. The chairs are covered in Sunbrella fabric so there is no need to worry about spills. Custom artwork, drapes, lighting, accessories, and wainscoting finished off the space.
