CM Natural Designs

Our Florida house was decorated over a period of almost nine years and was eclectic – not in a great way. On a whim one evening, I conducted a web search for interior designers and found CM Natural Designs profiled in an article, along with seven others. After reviewing each designer’s portfolio, I selected CM Natural Designs to contact, along with a couple of other designers I found in other articles. After speaking to Corine via FaceTime, we knew instantly that she was the designer for us. We were apprehensive about spending money on something we historically thought we could tackle with Pinterest. But Corine’s detailed explanation of her design process, her professionalism and effervescence and the strength of her portfolio – varied and clearly brimming with the respective homeowner’s personality – convinced us to make the leap. From beginning to end, Corine bowled us over with her talent, organizational skills, attention to detail and responsiveness. Even my husband (ever the skeptic) was impressed with her. Her design presentation nailed the vision of what we thought our house could look like. Within one week, we purchased 90% of the items she recommended. Over the next few months, our house was transformed from a mish mosh of accumulated high-end & Home Goods items to a serene retreat that is functional and still feels like our “home.” I often sit in the rooms that she redesigned, soaking in the touches. She doesn’t “push” her preferences – she really listens and translates your preferences into a beautiful, cohesive design. The fact that she is based in CA, and we are based in FL presented zero issues. The initial style study was conducted through FaceTime. Communication was handled primarily through email and text, with the ad hoc call, if needed. Corine and her amazing studio manager, Jenny, were on top of every detail. After completing four rooms with Corine, we engaged her to redesign our master bedroom, which was just recently installed. We will have her redesign our master bathroom & powder room, as well – I’ll be upset when we run out of rooms for her to redo. We joke that Corine is not only our interior designer but our “life coach.” I literally won’t make some purchases without checking in with her, and my husband can be convinced to buy things if I mention that it was her idea. I have very high standards, but Corine exceeded our expectations. My perspective on interior design has completely changed. If we had invested in this upfront before purchasing our mish mosh of stuff over time, we would have saved money on not having to “fix” things down the road. We can’t recommend Corine and CM Natural Designs enough. Her talent combined with her operational prowess and responsiveness is rare – and she’s a delight to work with. We feel so lucky to have found her!

This design firm created such a unique and fabulous space for our bathtub to be placed in! Their name is well represented within the space they made. Thinking outside of the box and creating such an environment can only be done by extremely talented designers, which CM Natural design has proven to have. I would highly recommend consulting with them to come up with something unique and special for your home!

Corine and Erin from CM Natural Designs are a godsend to the stylistically challenged. It's not that my wife and I don't have a style, but I can tell you there's a huge difference between kinda knowing what you like and being able to put together a cohesive vision (and comprehensive list of furnishings) that you will love - within your budget. Our experience couldn't have been better, and as just one example of going above and beyond for us, Corine went to the trouble of lugging a locally-designed custom chair from her own home to let us try it out before purchasing! We felt like they really cared about achieving our style, budget and timeline and are clearly passionate about what they do. We can enthusiastically recommend CM Natural Designs to anyone looking for talented and dedicated designers with a keen eye for your own personal style.

We worked with Erin to help furnish our 5500 sq foot house that we had nothing for. It was a pleasure working with her. She had great ideas and created a place I love walking into. Rhianna and her team were absolutely fantastic throughout this entire process. She took the time to focus on the individual elements within each room and suggest amazing complements that accentuated the style of our home. We were especially impressed with Rhianna's ability to make our entire home feel like a classic beach cottage. She was able to pick finishes that were stylish and yet affordable, with excellent color choices and beautiful finishes. Rhianna was always punctual, attentive and understanding throughout this entire remodel. Amid the expected frustrations that can arise during a remodel, Rhianna was always able to put my mind at ease that the issue would be taken care of and bring me back to the excitement we would experience at the end of this project. We would definitely use CM Natural Designs again!

My wife and I moved to San Diego into a large single family home from a small 2 bedroom condo in San Francisco. Our previous furniture did not work stylistically or scale-wise. We had to start over and having so much more space made it seem like a daunting task. Enter Corine Maggio of CM Natural Designs. What initially drew us to Corine was her big picture understanding of what we wanted to achieve, thorough explanation of the process and expected costs, and infectious enthusiasm. When you hire a designer you are not just hiring someone to pick your furniture for you, its a collaborative process that involves developing a strong designer-client relationship and report. This is where Corine and her team really shine! We probably had more back and forth on minor design decisions than most clients but Corine was very patient with us. Her goals aligned with ours- to get the design perfect. I personally had difficult moments during the design and purchasing process where the anxiety of spending so much money definitely got to me but Corine and Jenny were able to coach me through the process. We originally hired Corine to do the entryway, breakfast nook, and living room. That quickly expanded to just about everything in our house including our master bedroom which is so cozy, classic and beautiful. From a pure design standpoint there are a ton of highlights but our favorites are the black powder room with the floral wallpaper and the custom built-in cabinet designs in both the office and dining room. We purchased our home in 2014 and have used CM Natural Designs on two separate occasions - for designing services/furniture/paint as well as for two total bathroom renovations. To say we would use her team in the future is an absolute guarantee. When doing our research on designers, we knew we needed someone who was confident in their design aesthetic but flexible with ours, mindful but creative with budget considerations, and a brand/company who was passionate, professional, and hands-on - this IS CM Natural Designs. From the moment we decided to move forward, Corine and her team were ready and available to answer all of our logistical/design questions - they were professional, worked with our deadlines, SUPER organized, and the attention to detail was always evident in everything she and her team did. For our master bathroom, she helped us envision the look and feel and manipulated the space/design to reflect that. We wanted ours to be a complete juxtaposition between masculine (industrial look and feel of bathroom hardware and shower door) and feminine design elements (brushed gold details/decorative lighting). To say this was accomplished would be an understatement. We LOVE our bathrooms. The whole experience with CM Natural Designs, from start to finish, was as effortless as any renovation could possibly be. As there are ALWAYS bumps in the process of any renovation (i.e. contractor issues, unexpected costs, ect.), Corine and her team took ownership of our project and handled it with poise and professionalism from start to finish. We will absolutely use her team in the future and cannot recommend her company enough.

Do yourself a favor--hire Corine Maggio for your next project. She not only helped us with interior design, she generously helped us with selection of materials for our condo remodel. Corine and her staff are very responsive to questions, acts quickly in getting the project completed within budget, and do their best to make you a happy customer. Besides that, Corine has excellent taste. I was thrilled with the final design. My wife and I are from the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. We have 3 sons aged 22 (a Medical Student), 19 (a Law Student) and 15 (still Schooling). All three are good swimmers and loves fishing and water sports. The younger 2 are Maldives national swimmers; having participated in the FINA World Championships, the Youth Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, the Asian Games and many more international Meets. Given that our family loves the sea, we bought a 4000 square feet beach front land on the island of Fulhadhoo in the Horsburgh Atoll, Maldives. Fulhadhoo is a fishing village with under 200 inhabitants. Having bought the land, we decided the we must build a house with a better floor plan and an interior to suit us. It is not the amount of money that we spend; but the floor plan, the interior and exterior design and arrangements that will make the property great. For us, simplicity and practicality is the best. Given that, 3 children are studying in 3 different places; discussion and decision making was difficult. We spent hour discussing and drawing floor plans with various permutations. We browsed the internet and looked at 100s of floor plans and interior and exterior designs. After a weeks of web browsing and discussion, one thing emerged. The designs we like better are from design firm called CN Natural Design in the United States. They are nice, simple and very practical. Most of their designs are of a coastal theme - what we were looking for. We sent an email to CN Natural Design to see whether they could help us in designing a 4 bedroom beach house. Within a few days of our email, Corine Maggio of CN Natural Design called me. One of the first thing she asked was whether I was a swimmer? She may have done a Google search! I explained to her our requirement and limitations. We had many more discussion. We explained to Corine, the Maldives Building Code requirements and shared photos and videos of our land and the environment. Corine was eager to listen, polite and very friendly. She completed the project on the agreed time and costs were reasonable. She did the floor plans of the house and gave us various interior and exterior options. The floor plans are unique and innovative. The open concept arrangement and rooms layout was excellent. The floor plans were such that we could build the roof to harness solar power for all our lighting requirements - no carbon foot print. The design will, surely, blend with the island environment. The structural engineering was done by Maldivian engineer. We got the building permits and soon be starting construction. I am happy, without any hesitation, to recommend Corine to undertake a coastal house design project. She is capable of doing a marvelous job.

We hired Corrine Maggio of CM Natural Designs late in the major remodeling of our 1962 ranch house. We were facing decisions on multiple major items at once -- flooring, cabinets, countertops, tile, paint, fireplace, exterior stucco -- pretty much every major surface inside and outside the house, and we needed to make decisions quickly to not delay our builder. Corrine instantly put me at ease about the tasks ahead. She listened intently, asked great questions, and never once made me feel like she was trying to impose her design aesthetic on us when we didn't invite it. She was flexible about our working arrangement, which was important given all the other chaos the remodel was imposing on our lives. She made really constructive suggestions on how to move forward, how to share our design wants and needs, including taking into account the differences between my wife and my styles. In very short order she helped us pull together a truly stunning palette of materials and colors, and we revel in the joy we feel every day in our gorgeous house. The transformation from a house that didn't get much love for nearly 50 years to a very functional, beautiful, design-savvy, but modest house in which we are eager to spend time and to entertain is breathtaking. It is hard now to even imagine what it looked like before, and Corrine and Lisa of CM Natural Designs were instrumental in getting us there. We look forward to continuing to work with them on completing the furnishings, window treatments, and other interior design elements to complete the transformation. We have recommended Corrine and company to multiple friends and colleagues and will continue to do so.

I would highly recommend Corine for any interior design project. Design is certainly not one of my strengths, so when I moved into my new place without a single piece of furniture, I thought the help of a professional was needed. We recently moved into a new house that was much bigger than our previous one, as well as a completely different style. We new we needed help furnishing and decorating several rooms, and Corine did a fantastic job! We have nothing but positive things to say about her -- both her professionalism and hard work, as well as her positive attitude and encouragement. She is very gifted at what she does and truly gives her job 110%. We were so pleased with her work that we decided to use her to tackle a complete remodel of our master bathroom. Corine is a wonderful person, so respectful for your budget and so sensible for your wills. Although we were so far away(I am living in Turkey) she did not hesitate to help me and , for my side, it was a wonderful work. She is a pro with an easy going and understanding personality, joyful and smart. The home is a 260 sqm house, with 3 floors and resemble traditional Turkish houses. We are a young couple with 2 sons one 9 and the other 6. She caught the details about our home, family and our soul and combined a design which we would love to live with. This was the first time my husband and I ever sought out help from a professional and we couldn't have been more blown away by Corine and her team. We had just moved into a big open loft downtown and it was our first "grown up" place. I am a dancer and massage therapist, my husband likes to paint and write, We also love entertaining, so we needed the space to be very versatile. Corine's design was absolutely amazing, and perfect for what we wanted. She was incredibly on point and professional, and found us pieces that were unique and appealed to our artsy personalities while also coordinating a very modern feel. Corine was great to work with on our new home remodel. She is easy to talk with, professional, and was able to meet my needs in a timely manner. Corine initally helped me select interior and exterior paint. She then designed a fireplace with bookshelves for my contractor, selected a beautiful neutral travertine for my fireplace, and provided multiple designs for bathrooms and our kitchen. Her recommendations for our kitchen countertops and backsplash as well as the bathrooms have turned out beautiful. It was a pleasure to interact with Corine and I highly recommend working with her and her team.

We interviewed multiple candidates and picked Corine for her innovative ideas, excellent communication and having the innate ability to translate our sketchy ideas into a four dimensional world of space and color. We originally wanted her to design a couple of rooms and ended up having her design and furnish the entire house, inside and outside, patio and roof. Her color palette for the exterior and interiors combined with the fresh design transformed the house we purchased from a dull, green, brown sad space to a fresh coastal with whites and shades of blue and gray. All this at a very reasonable cost!

I would recommend Corine Maggio for any interior design project without any hesitation. Once you have had an opportunity to meet Corine, you will understand how her enthusiasm, positive energy, and fresh approach, naturally flows from who she is as a person into every project she accepts. Corine Maggio was contacted to assist in the final design details of the renovation of our restaurant in La Jolla. Corine was always timely on meetings, timely on expected due dates and complete on all installations. Her design thoughts were very appropriate for our location and clentle. Corine helped us choosing paint colors, flooring, and window coverings for our new home. She also designed two fireplaces for us. I thought I could design my new home on my own and quickly found out how difficult it is. Corine Maggio is a special person and an absolute pleasure to work with I felt as though Corine got my style and made me feel confident in the amazing design decisions she made. She met my deadlines and worked wonderfully with my contractor. I specifically loved her choices in paint color and the accessories that she choose. She completely transformed my home and we get endless complements on how cool and beautiful is.

We hired Corine Maggio to decorate our brand new condo in the Grand South building in downtown San Diego, CA. The condo was completely bare and we gave her the task of designing it from scratch down to every last detail (dishes, silverware, and even hand soap included). She was excellent to work with. Very professional, considerate, thoughtful, organized, and caring. Every expense was tediously detailed in an organized invoice along the entire way. I was happy to see someone so enthused about her job. It was like she was rooting for us to have the best place possible and she did it. She was very budget conscious and had plenty of options for us. We gave her free reign to just make it the best home possible for us, but she still checked in regularly to make sure she was heading in the right direction. I loved the computer mock up designs she would make before buying anything, to help us see how it would all come together. Would recommend her to any of my friends or family.

My parents will be retiring soon and bought a luxury condo in downtown San Diego in the Grande building overlooking the water for their retirement home. My siblings and I hired Corine to furnish the condo - it was completely empty. Neither my parents, myself, or my siblings live anywhere near San Diego, so everything was left to Corine. She did an excellent job and we were all very happy with her work! Like i mentioned, she provided all services - from the smallest things such as buying silverware & toilet paper to big things like painting and picking out & having furniture delivered. She did everything!! Corine initially started by speaking with each one of us individually and getting ideas of what things we liked, disliked, etc. She then came up with ideas and options for us to choose from. She was always in constant contact with multiple family members (which i'm sure was hectic at times since we disagreed amongst ourselves often) and helped guide us into an informed decision while being very respectful with the differing opinions and family dynamics. She provided the following services: - picked out & delivered every piece of furniture into the home - beds, lamps, tables, dining table, stools, couches, patio furniture, etc - purchased an outdoor patio heater - great idea! my parents are old & definitely need this - purchased and mounted a flat-screen hi-def TV - she purchased and mounted all artwork - looks awesome! - assembled any furniture or anything else requiring assembly - painted the entire place - had the carpets washed & cleaned - picked out and placed all dishes, silverware, kitchenware, coffee machine, spice rack, etc that is needed in a kitchen - bought all small things like toilet paper, napkins, washer/dryer soap & supplies, vacuum, cleaning supplies, etc - decorated the entire place with knick-nacks, decorative things on counters/tables, etc I'm sure i forgot to mention above some of the other things that she did, but she essentially started with a completely empty place and created a home where you could walk into and live without having to buy anything else! The best part of her services was that it was hassle-free and she took care of everything. This was key because none of us live in San Diego. Another great thing was she was in constant communication with us and bouncing ideas of us all the time. She always ran things by us before making a large purchase. She always gave us options. She did everything on an appropriate time-line and provided a very thorough and detailed list of all purchases. She is extremely good at what she does and has great taste in interior design. She exhibited her versatility when we decided to give her a couple fancy rugs that she had to incorporate into the design and she did this with ease and it looked great. Since none of us live in San Diego, we had to trust her on some of the designs, colors, etc and we were all amazed at how well it turned out when we saw the final design in person. She is definitely someone you can trust when it comes to design! She knows exactly what she's doing and has great foresight - even when you aren't sure if you think something will look good, you will definitely agree with her after seeing it after it's done. For instance, my parents were vehemently against painting one of the main walls in the living room despite Corine's recommendation, however after going there in person when everything was done, they realized they made a mistake. Corine had very respectfully told them before that it is a mistake, and sure enough my parents realized it. Corine was nice enough to have the painter come back and repaint that single wall. It looked sooooo much better after and my parents were very pleased. Our family is extremely pleased with her services and we would recommend her to anyone. She does 'CUSTOM' interior design work and tailors everything to her client's needs. She listens carefully and is very patient. She is worth every single cent that we spent! Her prices are very reasonable for the kind of services she provides and she does quality work. We have are completely happy with all aspects of her services and nobody has any complaints or things they did not like. Please see the pictures on her website. I only had a few days ... Literally...to get my house ready for my babes return from a military deployment and Corine seriously came to my rescue! She is God sent :) her confidence, professionalism, sense of humor, and organized approach really made me feel completely comfortable and satisfied that I found the right designer. I would recommend her to anyone. Plus she's a hottie with a body! (Wink wink...Lol, insider joke :) ) With all jokes aside I had a blast with Corine ... She did a wonderful job in my home! Through word of mouth, I received a delightful and initial call from Corine Maggio. She heard that I was seeking a designer that specialized in coastal design. Much to my delight, she was professional, personably, and very helpful from the start of our first conversation. At that point I had already been two years in the remodeling process of our first home. Although I had a lot of foresight, I had reached a point of being overwhelmed and unfocused with many of my ideas. Corine met with me and shared our family's vision of the home that we were aspiring to have. She began with our master bedroom and overall flooring for the house. From start to finish she was open, receptive, professional, and a delight to work with. I found the estimate for the design of our room to be right on target. She delivered beautifully and both my husband and I were very happy! Once this project is complete, we fully intend to use Corine Maggio Natural Designs as our design company for the remaining future projects in our home.

I really needed to have my house redone, but could not afford a professional makeover, so Corine helped me organize! Yes, she is a wonderful organizer and it has made my living space so much more functional! I couldn't believe how a little space planning, organizing, and re-arranging could change my home. My daughter's room used to just basically be a storage space. I hated going in there, and there was no place for her to play. Corine completely changed the space using what we already had. I love it in there now, and my daughter plays in there all the time. Someone came over and asked me if I go on "pinterest" a lot! She has also transformed my kitchen and bedroom. If you want to change your space, but can't afford to have it redone, hire Corine at an hourly rate to reorganize! It changes everything!

In preparation for retirement, we moved to San Diego from Salt Lake City. Leaving a two story, six bedroom suburban home and coming into a three bedroom beach house, we quickly discovered we had too much of the wrong kind of furniture. Wanting to start from scratch, we sold all of it, leaving only the vitally necessary pieces we needed to live. We bought a beach house built in the mid 50’s, which we wanted to update but leave in its original mid-century modern style. We knew what we liked, but had trouble envisioning it in our home. We sought out designers and were referred to Corine. She met with us and we quickly became comfortable with her style ideas and background, but it was her upbeat enthusiasm and energy that sold us on hiring her. Corine specializes in Coastal themes, and was able to give us plans that were unique and innovative yet kept us with a comfortable beach house which, we feel, matches the community in which we live. As we work our way through the house, we continue to be pleased with her designs.
