Hi, I just had Milzen cabinetry put in my kitchen following a fire that smoke-damaged my entire house. Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework and allowed my crooked contractors to select my cabinets, assuming I could trust them to find cabinets within the budget provided by the insurance company, $22,000 for cabinetry and installation. Now that would've certainly bought me some very, very nice cabinets. My bad, for sure. Milzen cabinetry is builder's grade cabinetry. The lowest of the low. Made in China and shipped to the U.S. Strangely sized, cheaply assembled (dovetailed drawers for example that needed to be sand and re-glued to look remotely good). The boxes appear to be well-made, the key word being "appear." Yes, they are made from plywood, but the corner supports are plastic, no additional wood support up top. The sliding drawers are a bit sticky but loosen up after a while, and I do like the soft close feature. The doors are white Shaker style and are made from Birch wood and MDF (in the center so that they can expand and contract with heat and moisture). They look nice but they definitely don't feel solid. They seem to hold up well, but hey, they only have a sad little one-year warranty, so check back after another 6 months... I would never in a million years recommend this cabinetry, even if you just wanted something for a rental. Spend a bit more (I think these run around $200-$300 a box) and get something made in the U.S., made well, with care and thought to longevity. Oh yes, and stay away from Krueger Brothers Builders in Napa, Valley, CA. They will take you for a long and ugly ride. I hope this review helps.
