Orsetto Interiors

We’ve completed another project with Alessandra at Orsetto Interiors, and once again it has been a great experience. This time, Alessandra led both the design and project management of a full back garden renovation. It was a large-scale project involving a complete transformation: removing existing fencing, paving stones, plant beds, storage areas, and even replacing the kitchen windows to open up the space. The end result included a beautiful glass veranda, new paving, new fencing, and new kitchen glass doors that completely refreshed the connection between the house and the garden. There were some real challenges along the way; in particular the removal and transplanting of six large olive trees; but Alessandra handled everything efficiently and calmly. She was persistent in sourcing the right contractors, reaching out to multiple providers until she found the right expertise for each part of the job. The project did take slightly longer than initially planned, but the final result was absolutely worth the wait. Alessandra brought excellent design ideas and thoughtful details throughout, helping us achieve exactly the Mediterranean-style garden we were hoping for. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and a pleasure to work with. We can’t wait to have a new project for our house!

Just had my consultation with Alessandra regarding the redecoration of my home office. I am super impressed with the way she helps you to create an interior based on your individual style. We asked Alessandra to redesign our living room, kitchen and playroom. Our children had outgrown the playroom and we wanted the spaces to work for our family, now long gone from toddlers. Alessandra revealed what we wanted, without us even knowing what we wanted. She identified my favourite colours, she knew what would work in terms of design, of texture, of furniture choices. Her quiet expertise was invaluable. She is calm, patient, observant , professional. She took all I shared with her and distilled it to rooms that my children love, it is "their" space and a living room for grown ups. Sometimes I forget all the work that has been done and when I arrive home, I am greeted by a beautiful space that takes me by surprise and fills me with joy. Alessandra achieved all this. For years, I wanted to do the work but it took Alessandra designing and directing everything for it to be done. She brought order to all stages of the work, always in a calm, thoughtful way. I highly recommend her for her professionalism, her impeccable taste and her patience.

We are delighted with our Living Room project designed by Alessandra. She listened closely to the brief and was unfailingly helpful and patient in coming up with other options as the design adapted somewhat over time. She is a lovely person to work with and a consummate professional. I spent months thinking about the design and looking at pieces of furniture but did not have the time or expertise to bring the whole thing together – Alessandra managed that in short order – every time I walk into the living room, I think it was money very well spent. We were so impressed with Alessandra’s blend of creative vision and hands-on project management that we have teamed up with her to transform our back garden next!

Alessandra not only did fantastic job for us during the project but also helped after… there is plenty areas where she truly stand out (i) she is creative but realistic / won’t blow your budget but tell you what best value for money you can get (I find most designers not capable of doing that), (ii) listens to you and offers opinions and ideas that fit your lifestyle as opposed to boiler plate sketches and (iii) is extremely understanding, our project caught massive delays because of builders and she didn’t leave us alone and move sessions to fit our needs. She really thinks how to help and make best for you and in style that first your personality! Our flat has been transformed - I can't wait to get home to it each night! Alessandra (working in partnership with Emily Coles interior design) absorbed our style preferences and moulded them into a design that is not only visually stunning but perfectly practical. Our home needed a redesign to be taken from a kid-centric space to one better suited for teenagers and home working. At the time I contacted Alessandra, I had 18-month-old twins and had been procrastinating for almost a year about the work that needed to be done in our flat, simply because I was lacking time and just thinking about the project was overwhelming. I wanted to redo the whole kitchen, bathroom, cloakroom, change the study floor, the stairs carpet and overall painting of the flat. I found Orsetto Interiors quite randomly while running some searches online and Alessandra got me at the “stress free end to end project management” approach. With no spare time available, this was exactly what I needed: someone to help me put my ideas into a proper design, discuss & agree on everything that needed to be purchased with the correct quantities (I don’t know about you but I’m neither a specialist of tiles nor of grout or even trims…), schedule the work, ensure delivery dates, review & check contents on delivery so that nothing was missing before the work started and last but not least be the “go to” person with the builders & team to check on progress and of course myself. Before the project started, we obviously discussed on what I wanted to do and agreed on the estimated budget and I’m glad to report that despite some changes along the way, Alessandra made sure we always remained on budget – which we did, up until the end – which was for me (but I’m sure it’s an important criterion to any other customer) a huge relief! As I didn’t necessarily have any builder contacts prior to getting in touch with Orsetto Interiors, I’ve trusted Alessandra with her own contacts and once again, I’ve not been disappointed. They had given an estimation of 6-8 weeks for completion and everything was completed within 6 weeks (which is also often unheard of!). Last but not least, Alessandra has been a real pleasure to work with: very professional, patient, reliable, always available, kind and very quick at suggesting alternatives or at making changes with her providers if needed, … All in all, it’s been a very pleasant surprise to get to know her and a positive outcome when it comes to our project. If like me you’re struggling to find 5 minutes in your day but absolutely needs to get things done, I would strongly recommend you Alessandra from Orsetto Interiors – I’ve taken the full “stress free” end to end project management approach but she can also help with lighter involvement, depending on your needs. Alessandra is great. She listens to your brief, areas of concern/confusion, takes into account the period of your home and what can work well together and more importantly your budget. I like that she can work to various degrees from giving you a few hours consultant approach to full project managing. She is quietly confident and not over powering with her own ideas (which is something that has always put me off using interior designers!)

Alessandra was great throughout the project. I felt a bit clueless in my initial approach but Alessandra was very helpful and engaging, and responsive in her communication. Alessandra played a key role in managing our house refurbishment. She was exceptional at listening to what we wanted and what was important to us and designed the detailed floor plans for both floors to our specification. Alessandra also designed the electrical plans and was very helpful at helping us pick out the right sconces to create the look and feel we wanted. Throughout Alessandra was available to us to help pick out color schemes and tiles, and every last detail to ensure we ended up with a harmonious space - be it a bedroom, bathroom, dining room, etc. She made our house refurb stress-free as she liaised with the builders, electricians and plumbers to ensure everything was being done to plan and with no additional delays or costs. We would recommend Alessandra wholeheartedly.

I have worked closely with Alessandra on several projects over the past three years, implementing her designs for clients, from a construction perspective. She has a specific talent in being able to interpret client desires into workable solutions and using patterns and colours to great effect. In my experience, clients have always been extremely pleased with the results. Alessandra has designed many projects for us. The first one was the master bathroom and family bathrooms. She presented us with a design that we loved, even before we knew what it was we wanted.
