Transforming Homes Through Thoughtful Interior Design | London
Studio JKL is a London-based interior design studio specialising in residential renovations, home extensions and bespoke family homes. 'Great homes aren't the result of hundreds of good decisions. They're created when every decision serves one complete vision'. Most significant renovations begin with excitement. Then the decisions begin. Architects. Builders. Lighting designers. That's where Studio JKL comes in. Led by founder and Principal Interior Architect and Designer Jo Kaur Llogarajah, Studio JKL brings over 15 years of luxury residential design experience. We partner with private clients from the earliest stages of a renovation, ensuring every decision contributes to one beautifully considered home rather than a collection of individually successful rooms. We work collaboratively with architects, consultants and specialist craftspeople who care deeply about quality, detail and well-resolved outcomes. We couldn't recommend Studio JKL highly enough. Jo oversaw the full design and planning of our kitchen, powder room, upstairs bedroom and family bathroom, and the level of care, precision, and expertise she brought to every space was exceptional. From the beginning, she truly held my hand through the process, channelling my ideas and creativity in a way that ensured the final result felt cohesive and considered rather than chaotic- while still reflecting my personal style. We honestly wouldn't have been nearly as courageous with our choices without her; she gave us the confidence to push boundaries, knowing the end result would be beautifully balanced. Jo's architectural drawings were incredibly detailed and meticulously thought through, leaving nothing to chance and made the process seamless. She lived and breathed our project, knowing it back to front and was always one step ahead, particularly with electrical layouts and technical planning, ensuring the builders were prepared for what came next. Importantly, she followed the project through to completion. Even when we were tired of the process and just wanted it over, she kept pushing, maintaining momentum and standards, so nothing was compromised. Her industry contacts and trusted network were invaluable, helping us avoid costly mistakes and ultimately saving us a significant amount of money. Working with Jo was an absolute pleasure, and the finished result exceeded our expectations.

We had an incredibly positive experience working with Jo in a full renovation of our house including music room, living room, dining room, 4 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. She drove the project end to end from concept to design, working with builders and finding the right furniture and accessories. She holds a high bar for the quality of her work, very organised and communicates well, and represented our preferences very well as the project progressed. This was a challenging project involving multiple contractors and we could always could on her to align on next steps and unblock progress when needed. We would definitely be happy to work with her again in future projects and strongly recommend her.

I hired Jo at Studio JKL to help elevate the look of my new apartment in central London. The basics were already there but I felt that the property could really look exceptional with help. Jo listened carefully and came up with brilliant designs that were in keeping with the property and my tastes. I also appreciated that she was willing to dig in and fight for ideas that she thought would work - and she was right every time. My flat now looks and feels really classy but it also remains my home. I had never worked with a designer before but I was really impressed by the process and pleased with the project. Jo sprinkled magic on everything and I'd highly recommend working with Studio JKL.

We knew we needed help with the transformation of our shop from a complete red interior gadget store into a sleek, modern bagel cafe. We had ideas of what we wanted, but not exaclty how to make it all work. Jo worked closely with us to suggest a viable layout, design floor plans, select materials, and finishes. The new design is clean, stylish, and functional, with a fresh green and white palette that brightens the space. The mix of materials creates a cosy, inviting atmosphere, while practical elements like glass display cases and stainless steel fixtures enhance efficiency. Jo was professional, attentive, and creative throughout, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Customers are always complementing how amazing the shop looks, whcih makes us extremely proud.

We needed help with furnishing and decorating our new build, three-bedroom flat prior to moving in, and reached out to Jo of Studio JKL to help realise our vision within two short months. What stood out for us is Jo’s personable approach and professionalism, and her willingness to find solutions. Despite the tight timeline, she was able to accomplish what we asked for and more: she was able to come up with a design that makes good use of space and provides ample storage, curate a list of furniture and accessories to order, link us up with reliable suppliers, fitters and joiners, and oversee the installation in our new home. She even went out of her way to source an out-of-stock furniture, as well as arrange for the transport of some items. Throughout the project, she maintained clear and timely communication, and was flexible with schedules. Her design and styling ideas worked well with our intended use of the space, while still having room to grow and make it our own. Highly recommended!

I was moving into a new apartment, and was unsure how to decorate the living space. Jo was super swift at communication, and very efficient. She assessed the space quickly and came up with great ideas. I loved her suggestions, and more than that, she would send over many links to different products. She understood pricing, and gave several options. Great experience, and so many people have complimented our apartment. Fantastic job, and would definitely recommend!

We reached out to Jo when in a panic about the number of decisions required quickly on a refurbishment and extension project. In particular, the ground floor guest WC, cloaks area and the newly created bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. Jo worked tirelessly on the layouts producing a number of options until we hit on the perfect layout. Across the rest of the project, the images, mood boards as well as physical samples, helped so much and we made choices which we wouldn’t have made were it not for that input. Jo introduced us to a number of suppliers and coordinated with them to provide quotes, in addition to sourcing a number of furniture and lighting items which saved an enormous amount of time and stress. Overall, employing Jo was a decision I’m relieved to have made, the end result simply wouldn’t be the same without her involvement.
