My last review of Valerie's work was nearly 10 years ago. Yes, Valerie is still my designer of choice. We have another new home with a very distinct personality of its own. We live in the beautiful Red Ledges community, just 15 minutes from Deer Valley skiing, and Park City. The home could have easily transitioned into mountain modern feel, which is quite popular here in Utah. Having owned a log cabin in Park City, I was ready for something fresh and contemporary with just enough architectural details to remind me that I do live in the mountains but not heavy mountain furnishings. Valerie picked up on the interpretation of what I wanted and has created a fresh contemporary with lots of the new jewel tones blended with cool organic pieces that retain the mountain feel. Valerie, you continue to amaze me with your vision and talent. You always pick exactly the things that I love. How do you do this? I know that I always ask you this question and your answer never changes. "You have to know your customer. You have to know their limits and tastes". It is so true. I appreciate not being bombarded with $$$ items. I appreciate your enthusiasm and help to guide my budget. You are such a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

I've been working with Valerie Marcus for 15 years. I have the absolute highest level of respect for Valerie's exquisite taste in fabric selections, and interior design abilities. VM Concept Design Studio took my totally dilapidated home in Sedona and transformed it into a bright, airy, totally re-newed home. And, all the while, I was 2,400 miles away. From the very start, as the designer, Valerie Marcus was proactive and creative driving the renovation forward. I very enthusiastically recommend her work. And, here are some of the reasons why: CREATED VALUE - Valerie focused on what changes could be made to improve the home structurally and create additional value - all in a very cost effective way. Some examples of her recommendations: close in the car port to make a garage, remove two walls to open up the flow of the home, add French doors to highlight the view and allow much more light in. And. the insurance appraiser agreed, providing a 18% increase in value of the home over the investment I made. PROVIDED STRONG DESIGN - Valerie quickly caught on to my taste and what I, as her client wanted, and delivered it more aesthetically than I could have ever done. Her selections were not necessarily the most expensive - very refreshing! CLOSELY MANAGED THE PROJECT - Valerie helped me to identify a contractor and then managed him closely so the renovation would be finished on time and on budget. She went out to the job site consistently - closely monitoring the work and problem solving with the contractor. Through FaceTime tours of the work underway, she ensured that I was involved every step of the way and could have input. REASONABLE COST - Valerie gave me a flat fee up front and stuck to it. The only additional charges were renderings by her assistant. Her fees were a very reasonable percentage of the total cost of the job. With only one change order for the entire construction phase, her design/planning was well worth it. In summary, I highly recommend VM Concepts.

We have completed two home remodels with Valerie this year; one a complete remodel and the second baths and decor. Making her clients happy is so important to her. She hires the best people and insists on excellent results from them. Valerie excels at design and her bathrooms are exceptional. She is also a joy to work with.
