I love doing crafts—mostly quilting and painting—but needed my own dedicated space separate from our family room. Melissa found it in the large mechanical room in our basement. She camouflaged the equipment, repurposed my oak drafting table as the island and designed a J-shaped work counter with plenty of storage. Our next project is a basement kitchenette and workout room. If you have an idea for making your home better, bounce it off Melissa. She’ll find a way to make it happen!

Terrible - I worked with Melissa on a kitchen remodel the cabinets were not correct and I paid an addition $7,000 to reorder. The doors on the reordered cabinets (delivered 6/2023) do not match the original doors and one of the cabinets does not function properly I have been waiting 9 months for her to order the correct cabinets. It is now 3/2024 and I cannot finish my kitchen and she will not respond to email or phone calls. In addition, Melissa did not follow through with promises to review my needs I kept asking for more drawers and she didn't listen. One of the cabinets I am stuck with opens into my face and is extremely awkward - this supposedly to provide access into the corner - which I wouldn't be able to reach unless on a ladder - so terrible functionality. I could go on but suffice it to say don't work with her! Also up-charged on carpet in living room when she said she didn't upcharge so that was extra $2,000 in her pocket. She choose out of town provider so had to pay extra travel costs.

After Melissa did such a great job remodeling our basement in our old home, we knew she was up for a much larger project. We bought an A-frame, knotty pine lake home that my in-laws built in the early 70's and made it into our retirement home. Melissa was able to translate "contractor speak" so we could always make the right decisions. We added a new master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet, as well as updating the existing kitchen. Melissa always found exactly what I was looking for, whether it was a narrow, triple-bowl kitchen sink or wrought iron lighting to complement the original fixtures. She also found us more storage space than we could have ever imagined, with custom-designed kitchen cabinets and under-the-stairway hidden drawers. Because of her patience and attention to detail, this home honors my in-laws while giving us everything we wanted and needed.

Most interior designers I work with know a little about cabinetry and leave the rest to us. What impressed me about Melissa, as we worked on a whole house remodel, is that she was involved in all the fine details right from the planning stage. From the kitchen and bath cabinets to the laundry room, office, entertainment center and wet bar, she understood all that goes into cabinetry to assure her client got exactly what they wanted. Melissa is very straightforward and a clear communicator. I highly recommend her.

I provided all the plumbing fixtures for Melissa’s remodeling project. She transformed a house that was built in the late 1990s into what looks like a period craftsman home from the 1920s. Melissa thought of every detail, from enlarging the doorways and adding oak paneling to the hammered copper cooktop hood and custom bookcases. Melissa was wonderful to work with, always bubbly and upbeat with great ideas.

Melissa came to our home about four times with samples and suggestions for valances in our dining and living room windows. She was so pleasant and pleasing to work with and we are so happy with her work.

I am working with this company on decorating a new home. Melissa has been very helpful in helping me make choices from floor covering to paint. She has helped me to bring my choices together to create a home that is warm and comfortable. We are working on the furniture choices and will soon be moving towards the décor. I am excited to see the project come together and create a home that I love. I do not enjoy decorating, but she has helped me with my choices and made this a very enjoyable project.

Melissa helped me with the wonderful ideas in redecorating my house. She is very patient and thorough, as well as very knowledgeable in what is the best for the client. Melissa took her time in understanding my needs, my style and the budget for my project. I have to say that she went above and beyond in helping me.

It truly was a pleasure to meet Melissa Brunk. After our discussion of the end result that I wanted to achieve in my master bathroom and closet, she brought together fabric samples and ideas to achieve just that! She is very professional and listens to your wishes. I would highly recommend her professionalism and efficiency to get the job done!

Melissa ordered an entry door with me. She did her research and knew what she wanted and had all of the information that was needed. She was also personable and professional at the same time.

Melissa provided us with some good ideas for our basement remodeling project. Soothing paint colors for the walls and a great flooring product.
