We at JKA are truly fortunate to have worked on such magnificent projects developed by the architects at Sutro. Steven and his team are very knowledgeable, easy to work with and possesses a great understanding of both traditional and modern designs. They are a collaborative and detail oriented group. We look forward to our next venture!

I really enjoyed working with Sutro Architects on a previous project, and I am delighted to collaborate with them once again. The first one was a traditional Edwardian in the city, and the current project is a highly modern Wine Country house. Stephen Sutro and his team are not only well-versed in all styles, but also wonderful to work with. They are also team players, equally respecting the clients' dreams and designer's vision for them, while managing projects with great execution and attention to detail.

We are pleased to highly recommend Sutro Architects. We worked with Stephen Sutro on a 14 month home remodel. Our project was large in scope - included gutting much of our house and making major structural changes. Stephen and his team provided excellent design services. They were professional and delivered commitments on time. They also did a great job managing construction - they were onsite 1-2 times each week. Sutro Architects worked very well as a team player with our general contractor and structural engineer. Together, they often collaborated to develop lower cost and/or more time efficient solutions. We never had a situation in which our architect, general contractor or structural engineer pointed fingers at each other. Stephen Sutro has a wonderful personality. He is both a good communicator and a good listener. He is always pleasant - and surprisingly unflappable. We would highly recommend meeting with Stephen and Sutro Architects if you are undertaking a home remodel!
