Lori and her team helped us to renovate our apartment on the North Shore. They were fantastic to work with. At the front end, they took time to talk with us about our needs and to figure out the style that would work well with us and our spaces. Their selections were outstanding, their communication and processes was always very clear and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Going forward, we wouldn’t use anyone else and are always quick to recommend them others.

We have had the pleasure of working with Lori four different times across three different homes, and each experience has been exceptional. She has consistently demonstrated an uncanny ability to understand us as clients, work with the existing and then adding her expertise to end up with results that have given us happiness and pride to live in. Adding to the above are Lori’s eye for timeless design and access to the quality of product to fulfill her vision. We still have furniture that she recommended/provided over 20 years ago, that looks just as beautiful and relevant today as it did when it first arrived. This time, her task was to redecorate our formal living room — the focal point of our home since it’s the first space you see upon entering. Once again, she very much succeeded - transforming the room into a stunning, functional and welcoming space that perfectly reflects us. We are thrilled! Our family has just completed a major home renovation with Lori and the Simply Home team. We cannot say enough about how right this decision was. At first we debated did we even need an interior designer but after our first introductory meeting with Lori we felt completely comfortable with going forward as she provided a sense of comfort and true excitement with the project and our image of how we wanted things to look. Lori respected our requests but she provided so many suggestions that we never would have thought about ourselves. We wanted a finished project that would also age over time so we did not need to do this again and looking at our home now we feel that she has fully accomplished that. There is a beautiful mix of things that were important for us to keep but new ideas that I never would have thought of. It is expensive to have a designer but the team did pay attention to our budget and overall we think the cost was well worth it. When we walk into our home now it truly feels like a new home that we are excited to enter, still the cozy and lived in home that we have always had but so much brighter and there is a beautiful flow now between each room. We loved working with the whole team, they were totally professional in every way and receptive of all our questions, worries and project concerns as they arose. Of note this project was also a distance project from coast to coast within Canada and despite the geographic difficulties of this we did not feel it was an impediment by any means. Cannot recommend enough and so happy with our decision!!

I had such a wonderful experience with Lori and her team. Lori stopped at nothing to ensure my apartment was decorated and minor renovations were done to my full satisfaction. She personally ensures every detail is perfect all the way until the very end. Her professionalism was inspiring and unlike any service provider I’ve worked with. Lori’s knowledge of design, her vision, and her connections with providers is remarkable. She was able to articulate thoughtful ideas + make creative and beautiful suggestions—then make everything come together drawing on the talented artisans and vendors she works with. I’m beyond pleased with the result. I didn’t know I could feel so content, comfortable, and at peace in my home. It looks beautiful but most importantly, it feels like “me.” Somehow Lori was able to make this all happen. Above all, I felt Lori took my project to heart and truly cared. You can tell by how my place looks now. I’m so lucky to have worked with her and can’t recommend her enough.

I wish I could provide Lori and her team ten stars instead of five. We had an excellent experience through this process. Lori took our ideas/style and made our wish list happen. We were so impressed with her professionalism, knowledge (design, products, cost, and availability) and her Trades. Every person that works for Lori has been hand picked. She only has Trades that take pride in their jobs and strive for the best quality of workmanship. Our job was completed ahead of schedule, and we were very pleased it was under budget. Simply Home Decorating recently helped us with a decorating/furnishing project in our open concept living room, dining room, entry, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve worked with four different interior designers over the years in various locations, and while we were happy with the end results of each project, Simply Home Decorating was by far the best that we’ve worked with. Lori and her team focus as much on the end-to-end design process and client relationship as they do on the end result, and that’s what truly sets them apart. There were three main areas that impressed us: Proactive communication. Taryn oversees a lot of the day-to-day communication for Simply Home Decorating, and she is amazing. She was organized, thorough, and sent us regular check-ins even during the waiting period of the process. We knew what was happening every step of the way, and it gave us peace of mind to know that SHD was on top of everything. Lori and Taryn were also quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had along the way. Design for real life. Unlike designers who are focused on the current trends or their social media presence, Lori and her team put their clients at the center. They are geniuses at interpreting likes, dislikes, and overall design aesthetic (even if you cannot articulate it yourself) and making it a reality. SHD also understands how important functionality is in a space and makes sure to factor in things like pets, hobbies, and lifestyle in the design recommendations. With you every step of the way. We’ve been through enough renovation and decorating projects to know that things rarely (if ever) go 100% as planned. What really impressed us about Lori and her team was that we felt like they were in our corner the entire time and helped us navigate these unexpected bumps and challenges. In our project, we had a “lemon” of a sectional sofa that resulted in multiple repair and replacement attempts spanning a year. I’m sure the manufacturer would have written us off as customers after the second replacement, but Lori and the team negotiated and fought on our behalf until we found a solution. We’re currently saving money for our next decorating project, but will definitely be calling Lori and the Simply Home Decorating team when the time comes. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

Lori and her team completed my multi-step downsizing project in a seamless and professional manner. They looked after all the details (movers, packers, storage, trades, etc.), and all I had to do was give them guidance on a number of high level design matters. It was exactly the assistance I was looking for, and I highly recommend Lori and her team to anyone needing help with a complicated relocation and redecoration project.

Lori and team provided full project management for a cross country move for us: from Ontario to a new Vancouver apartment. This included full interior design, trades' management, contents purchases (linens to furniture), set up and support. The team even met our moving truck!
