After experiencing the negative fall-outs of not following this advice, I had to retract and conduct the proper research, which ultimately led me Sarco Architects. From the onset of our introduction, I experienced a high level of professionalism and expertise, which along with a prestigious resume and reviews strongly influenced my decision to contract Sarco for the site planning of 49 Hectares on the Atlantic Coast of Costa Rica. Though I remained guarded at first due to my past negative experience, my decision was correct and on point as the outcome of the site plan was absolutely beautiful. What impressed me the most about Sarco’s style is their ingenuity and creative artistic ability to convey the vision and goals we aspired, while preserving and highlighting the natural landscape of the surrounding environment. Sarco remained true to their prestigious reputation and exemplified strong professional values and skills. In addition to their skills; Roderick Anderson, Sarco’s principal; was very patient with my team. He was always available for meetings no matter his hectic schedule and always took the time to explain his reasoning for any design he presented as well as offered advice on other matters concerning our development. Roderick and his team at Sarco Architects have been working with my boyfriend and me to design our retirement home in Panama. From the moment we engaged them, they have done a superb job. First they took the time to understand our needs and preferences. Then they provided a phased timeline and gave us various options on how we could work with them. This approach put us, the customer, first and gave us a sense that Sarco was a consultative designer and not a transactional one. Once we signed the contract with them, they met all key milestones with professionalism and excellence. The renderings and the virtual tour of the house were beautiful. We did make various iterations of the interior design and they were patient and open as we provided feedback. They also coordinated the geotechnical and surveying studies, as well as, the landscape design. Finally they visited Panama with us to help with the selection of materials so we could obtain accurate construction proposals, which is the final stage. Roderick and his team did a wonderful job designing and building our award winning home Villa Magayon in Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica. Roderick has a rare ability to combine an artist’s creativity with the execution of an engineer. Project was lots of fun, zero stress and came in on budget!
