We are beyond thrilled with the work that was done on our home by Primavera. From the very start of our project, Alex and Joe Fonseca were attentive, professional, kind, respectful, and they both provided insight and value throughout the entire project. Every member of their extended team had the same level of professionalism and attention to detail. Alex/Joe checked in and/or were onsite every single day to ensure we were satisfied with the progress and see if we had any questions. The work on our home included renovations to our second and third floors. On the second floor, Primavera installed two gorgeous, full, custom bathrooms, including heated floors, a wet room, soaking tub, and a steam shower. The master bedroom also included a custom, walk-in closet. On the third floor, they added a dormer, installed a full bathroom, custom railing, and a kitchen area, transitioning an old attic into a beautiful bedroom loft/studio apartment with oversized windows and cabinetry. To say we are delighted is an understatement. We highly recommend Primavera to anyone who is considering a home improvement project. They not only do spectacular work, but they are a pleasure to work with as well. It was a five star experience!!

We had a great experience with two bathroom renovations with Primavera and would highly recommend them for any project you are considering. Alex and Joe partnered with us from day one and were great communicators and always followed up with promised dates and times for project delivery. Joe closely managed his contractors and completed daily check ins to both direct and check the quality of work being performed. Requests for minor changes were met without pushback as Primavera was committed to our being highly satisfied with their work. This has been one of our best experiences with a contractor and we would use them again without any reservations!

I have worked with Primavera Builder for 2 major projects...the building of a brand new 5 bedroom 4.5 bath home (2023), and a major renovation to my existing home of 28 years, that was recently completed. With both projects, Primavera was responsible, professional, and cared about every little detail. With the renovation of my current home, they were able to match a complex addition to a 1910 built home incorporating today's codes and amenities, while keeping the character of the original structure. Although a number of changes to the original plan were made/requested by my wife and I, Primavera Builder was able to accommodate them along with suggestions of their own. We now have a beautiful home that we continue to receive raves about from family, friends, and neighbors. I highly recommend Primavera Builder for your next project. We recently had an addition completed by Primavera Builders of Cranford and could not be more ecstatic about the results! After several estimates, Primavera eased our minds about the Kitchen addition we were inquiring about. This was our first big house project and Joe and Alex Fonseca calmed our nerves and prepared us for the steps that would be taking place. We were very happy to have agreed with Primavera on their estimate and as you can see from the results, the craftsmanship and details are beyond words. The Cathedral Style Ceiling along with Wooden Accent Beams added beautiful character. The cabinets and dry bar along with their coloring really made the kitchen pop. Our new deck and accent lighting for evening entertainment was also constructed. Joe Fonseca was always able to answer our questions and at times recommended various changes that made the project more complete. Each of the installations, from the framing to the roof to flooring, he made sure that were informed and allowed us to alter if needed so we would be completely satisfied. They made sure that at the end of the day, onsite work was cleaned up properly. As the project came to fruition, their goal of having us in our kitchen cooking and entertaining was on time. With very little inconveniences, Primavera had excellent management throughout. We would highly recommend Primavera for others as well as securing them for our future projects. We had a wonderful experience with Primavera Builders who recently completed finishing the basement in our new construction townhouse. While our builder offered an option to finish the basement, they would not customize the space, which led us to explore other options and ultimately select Primavera. We worked extensively with Alex to put together a basement design that would give us a large office, a home gym half bathroom and extra storage. We iterated a number of designs until we were satisfied, and then he produced a detailed final proposal. Once the construction permits were obtained, coordination of the work shifted to Joe and the Primavera subcontractors. The team took extra care to protect our new floors to access the basement space, and got to work. Importantly, Joe was very communicative about when various activities would occur (basement prep/framing/rough ins/insulation etc etc) so we knew what to expect, and when. They showed up when they said they would, and their sub contractors did as well. All the work was completed with care, and to high standards, and the work site was kept clean. Working with a contractor can be frustrating and cause anxiety. There are always going to be questions or uncertainty, but both Alex and Joe were easily reached to answer questions. Inevitably, even with the best plans, we realized we wanted some minor changes. These were managed well, and the additional costs were explained before we made a final decision. It is, of course, important for the homeowner to understand that renovations require lots of advance planning, and limit deviations as much as possible, but when the inevitable issues that required changes came up, Alex and Joe managed them well, which is where they really earn their money! We are now a month into using the newly renovated space, and we are loving it. From design to initiation, execution of the contract and finishing of the work, Primavera were great to work with, and we wouldn’t hesitate to bring them in again!

Primavera Builders exceeded our expectations with our home addition project, which included a new kitchen, living room, deck, and sunroom. Joe and Alex demonstrated outstanding professionalism and flexibility, consistently working around our schedules to minimize disruption to our daily lives. Communication was a particular strength — they were always responsive and accessible when questions or concerns arose. What truly impressed us was their ability to deliver the entire project on time and within the agreed budget, which is rare based on experiences of family. I highly recommend Primavera Builders for your home project. Mine was smaller than most they are accustomed to doing, so I was concerned about the attention that would be paid to it, but we got the "big project" attention. They were there when they said they would be, kept us informed every step of the way, and everyone sent was very professional. Home projects no matter the size is stressful, but with Alex's and Joe's attention to details, I didn't need to be my typical micromanager self on home projects; that was a great relief. I am extremely happy with the outcome, especially since their bid was lower than others AND there were no hidden costs at the end!

Alex and Joe were the ideal builders for me and my home. My house is approx. 100 years old and had major challenges. However, their kindness, patience, talent, and speed helped make the process smoother and less stressful. They helped transition my small home into a lovely space with an open floor plan on the first floor adding a kitchen / family room and then upstairs my old bedroom became my walk-in closet (yes, it was tiny) and now I have a nice size bedroom and my OWN bathroom. I would hire them again for any additional work and definitely recommend them whether you're building a completely new home, building an addition as I did, or renovating. I am super happy with the work they did for me.

We have worked with Joe and Alex at Primavera Builders multiple times over a 20 year period doing a major renovation of the original house and two additions, as well as smaller projects on our home in Cranford, NJ. They have provided excellent support throughout the planning phase, including working with the architect and the township, and they ensured the construction phase was completed with good craftsmanship, on schedule and with as little disruption as possible. They were responsive to questions and attended to issues as they came up. And, they provided guidance and recommendations in making decisions along the way, including the selection of fixtures and finishes. We trust them and any subcontractor they work with. We love our home and Joe and Alex have helped us create a home that is both beautiful and functional, meeting the needs of our family.
