I used Patricia O'Shaughnessy Designs recently to help stage my home for sale, having used Patti's services in the past with decorating my home I knew when it was time to list it for sale hiring Patti and her team of assistants would make the process far easier. Being a Realtor in Westchester NY, I have a very keen sense of what buyers are looking for when purchasing a home. Patti made my home look move in ready, with things like choosing the right wall color,floors,rugs,ART! She even helped with finding the right pieces of furniture to accent my home! My husband and I found Patti's House Call report very useful as we considered upgrades to our 1920's home with an eye to selling it in the near future. Patti gave us good ideas and helped us find the best fabrics, accessories and rugs to refresh our home. She is a joy to work with.

In our NYC 2 BR apartment and a Greenwich CT 5 BR house, Patti has been invaluable in overall design, selection of furniture, mirrors, painting, carpets, rugs, and accessories. Her artistic eye, keen appreciation of color and textiles as well as her connections to wonderful vendors and craftspeople has been extremely helpful. Patti is a joy to work with: intelligent, willing to listen and work within our budget, energetic, and has that great sense of style and design we needed.

We have been working with Patti for over a year, contemporaneously renovating and decorating our 1920’s Tudor home. Patti has a great eye for color, she sources through very high quality vendors and the craftsmanship shows in everything she has curated for our home. This project and client (!) has presented many challenges to Patti and she meets them all with good cheer. She has unflagging energy and positivity. She stays on track with the vision and is able to work incrementally with us and on multiple fronts. We’ve had more than a few tough decisions to make on the budget along the way and I found her to be very pragmatic and willing to try and find budget friendly alternatives - where appropriate. That said, her ability to source unique, quality pieces has proven well worth the spend. By commissioning one a kind artwork and weaving in antique treasures we now have several WOW pieces in our home. It feels distinctive and bespoke, formal but not stodgy with a big dash of swank. She is creating a cohesive feel throughout the house while varying the mood and intensity from room to room which was important to us. She’s been able to translate our point of view and work to complement the strong bones of the house. It’s been very gratifying to entertain again and we get a lot of positive feedback from each reveal. It’s really a pleasure to work with Patti O. She delivers on fabulousness!

I feel so lucky to have found Patti through Houzz! I started out with her House Call service, just a few months ago. Though my project is focused more on the kitchen/dining area, I found this House Call service to be incredibly helpful – money well spent! The final product was a comprehensive report that included an overview of goals for home improvement projects as well as very specific recommendations around color schemes, fabric and even furniture options. This will serve as a very helpful resource and guide for all future decorating. Patti is all-around amazing but a few things are really notable: 1) My husband and I have different design tastes and Patti uses her unique ability to integrate our different design preferences 2) Patti respects and effectively manages different price points, she honestly tells you where money is best saved or spent 3) she has an amazing eye for color, fabrics, and art along with a network of folks to call on if needed and 4) perhaps most importantly, she is a real pleasure to work with – she listens and is creative, professional and timely. We had the privilege of working with Patti on the rehabilitation of our administrative offices. Patti was wonderful to work with, smart, creative and talented. Her choices about wall colors and furniture were great. On our side, we kept changing our plans, but Patti was flexible enough to revise her plans with great understanding and professionalism. Patti is my decorating guru. I have worked with her for over 15 years. In her friendly, gentle way, she has helped me create the atmosphere I want in my home. My apartment has an amazing, highly functional, absolutely beautiful kitchen. It's also got a beautiful living room with crown moulding in a very subtle pearly grey color. Considering how difficult it can be (I can be) to make a decision, it's all quite a miracle, and all thanks to Patti O'Shaughnessy. Patti smartly used her hefty experience, developed aesthetic sensibility, network of first class professionals and get-it-done focus to give me a largely redone apartment. The kitchen I'd honestly dreamed about. Really, after the kitchen was finished under Patti's leadership of the construction people, I happened on a picture I'd torn out of a magazine years prior and completely forgotten about. The new kitchen was shockingly similar and it was mine! I have absolutely no reservations giving Patti my highest recommendation for your interior design project.

I began working with Patti O'Shaughnessy about 15 years ago and she has assisted us in four to five major projects over the years. Patti has helped us choose rugs, furniture, fabrics, and accessories. When I repainted my entire house, she helped me choose the colors and I loved every one of them! She helped choose colors, rugs and furniture when we added a floor to our house. And, in 2016 she is helping me choose fabrics and drapery to reupholster many pieces of the original furniture from 2001. Patti has helped make our house into a home. Working with Patti is a pleasure because she is professional, honest, and reliable. She has an excellent eye and as a designer she pushes you just enough by making you a little more daring and stylish than you would be without her. Patti cares, she listens and wants to please. Over time, she gets to know your taste and working with her is a breeze! I wouldn't want to do a house project without Patti!

I met Patti about five years ago when I wanted to change a few things on the first floor of my house. I researched a few designers in Westchester and everyone seemed to have five-figure minimums that didn't work for my budget. I did some Googling and found Patti, who lived in my same town, and arranged a meeting after reading great things about her working within small spaces and with people on a budget. I could not be happier with the results off all of the projects Patti has done for me. We have a 4 BR colonial that is not huge and grand, and yet the rugs, wall colors, lighting fixtures and furniture pieces that Patti has picked out make my friends and neighbors with much grander homes say, "Wow! Your house looks great!!" We are in this house for the long haul, so I asked Patti to help make my entry foyer look amazing even though it is really small. She picked a fabulous color of Pratt & Lambert golden paint, these classy Company C platinum and gold rugs that were affordable and 100% wool, a terrific painted wood table from the local shop in our town and handmade lighting fixtures that I went to the Bowery to select that I think are the greatest things ever. None were "break the bank" items at all, I felt great about every piece and I still love them all incredibly and that was three years ago. Our next project was the dining room. Patti found this terrific wool remnant at Carpet Trends that people loved so much I thought someone was going to eventually try to roll it up and take it with them. It's not only that she has this amazing eye to pick the best items, she watches your budget, she knows that the edges need to be serged, that the rug needs to be this size or cut that way or placed right here but not there. She is amazing. For that room, she also chose paint colors and a new table and chairs and this great jug lamp that she found at an antique store. Subsequently, Patti put together a new Dash and Albert rug, MGBW couch & ottoman and wall hangings for my den. Patti always knows where to look for great stuff. She has a million resources for all budgets. I would never know where to find all of these great things or be able to put them together like Patti. Just today my last rug "replacement" took place (Patti fixed up all of the ugly I had done originally) in my living room, a fantastic Stark wool remnant that coordinates so well with all of the other rugs she selected, you would have thought we had some great master plan. She also magically made the rug work with the existing items I had in the room since I couldn't replace everything else at the moment. She knew how to make it all work. I trust Patti implicitly. She knows her stuff like nobody's business. She is extremely hardworking, always going to trade shows and showrooms, increasing her knowledge of what's out there, always ahead of trends. She delivers on time and on budget. She is an exceptional designer and will work with all budgets. Truly a treasure!

Overall, great experience! We took advantage of the "house call" service -- for a fixed price we received a great deal of good advice and information on everything from the overall footprint of the space to the color of walls and furnishings. Our "house call" service was a process that involved several thorough and thoughtful conversations and face to face meetings, this is way more than a one shot consultation. In the end, we had a written report from Patti that summarized the concept and details we discussed and a good big picture idea for our project -- a huge help for us in starting out on this renovation!
