We recently completed a full bathroom renovation with Jen and the transformation is nothing short of incredible. What impressed us most was her ability to see potential where we saw problems. Our old bathroom felt dark and dated, but Jen reimagined the entire footprint to optimize light and flow. We were very happy with our experience with the women at Niche. They are an efficient, well-organized, motivated group of talented designers who really take the time to get to know their clients. We were pleasantly surprised with how easy the process was. From the very beginning, they understood our style and vision, and the selection process was simple and straightforward. Every encounter whether in person, by phone, or email was timely and easy to understand. We were kept in the loop every step of the way, and the end product is beautiful.

It is hard to know where to start when reflecting on our absolutely OUTSTANDING experience in working with Jennifer and her team. First, I should say that my wife and I were quite apprehensive about hiring a designer. We tend to have fairly specific tastes and worried that we would we would end up paying someone but in the end, just doing the work ourselves. Then we met Jennifer. What was clear from the start is that Jennifer and her team were there to help us design our home in the way that WE wanted. There was a simple, straightforward, streamlined process to to get a sense for our tastes, and after we completed this process, the degree to which Jennifer and her team got our aesthetic blew our minds. While it was nice to have such high confidence in the design team so early in the process, where this really made a difference was in our meetings when choosing items for our house. Jennifer's team presented us was a small handful of options for the various furnishings we were looking for and there were always 1-2 options that were PERFECT. This made the meetings both incredibly efficient and super exciting. Not only did the team choose items that perfectly fit within our aesthetic preferences, they also exposed us to new ideas and designs that we liked better than anything we would have ever chosen for ourselves. The designers all possess a perfect balance between deference and opinionated-ness and were able to gently coach us through our decision making process while always making sure we felt heard. And all along the way, the team was clear and transparent (and accurate!) about cost, availability, and timeline for all of the items we were interested in, which helped us plan and budget throughout the process. After our decision making meetings were done, what was most impressive was Jennifer and her team's continued involvement and responsiveness. Our projects consisted of a kitchen remodel, building a new bathroom, and furnishing several rooms (family room, media room, bedroom, dining room, and outdoor space) and as we waiting for our furniture and worked on the house, ideas and preferences changed. Anytime we had a question, we could call, write, or text and we would have a response usually within an hour, and always the same day. When we wanted something to change, Jennifer and her team though creatively about how to make it work with a primary goal of us feeling great about the process and our decisions. And let me say, now that we have all of the furniture in our space, saying we feel great is a huge understatement. We have never been happier in any space we have lived in, ever. And so much of that is thanks to the Niche team and the thought and care they put in to helping us design our space. I had no idea how much good design could help me feel at peace in my home, could help encourage our kids to play in new spaces and in new ways, and could motivate me to spend more time cooking in our re-designed kitchen. What Jennifer and her team did which I did not expect at the beginning of this process, was they genuinely improved our quality of life. It's not just about how the space feels, but about how we live in it, and looking back, Jennifer and her team were thinking about this outcome the entire time. The team continues to stay responsive and involved while we add furnishings here and there, and to supervise the deliver of all of our furniture. It has been so pleasant to work with this team, that I am actively looking for other design projects to involve them in. I have worked with several professionals on various home projects over the years, and I can say that hands down, Jennifer and her team have been the most professional, reliable, and skilled group with whom I have ever worked. We thought we had a sense of what to expect from this process, but we really had no idea. This team of designers have helped bring joy and beauty to our lives that we are now experiencing every day. I cannot recommend them enough.

There is a big difference between a very good and an outstanding interior design firm. While most people end up somewhere on the spectrum of the former, working with Niche for the past few years has given me an experience of the latter- and it has set a new standard for me for the type of firm that I will work with on this type of project. Jennifer and her team are timely, responsive and professional in every regard. They are proactive and efficient with their time and complete and comprehensive with their deliverables. These are things that you often get with very good firms. What makes them outstanding is their unwavering dedication to creating the ultimate environment, within the brief and the constraints that they’re given. Our project actually had a ton of constraints. We bought several acres of land in Napa and decided to work with Blu and their pre-fabricated Breezehouse and Origin pods. While these modules could look and feel pretty generic, we had a vision of taking their product to another level. Looking back at the process now that we’re in the home — that’s exactly what the Niche team has done for us. Jennifer and her colleagues each got to know our interests, preferences, and aspirations for the space through a series of discussions that gave us absolute confidence that we were on the same team. And then Jennifer is simply a top-notch designer. She has a amazing eye for design, color, composition, placement and how and when to engage you in her thought process. Her clarity and conviction helped us make so many of the choices that were tough for me and my wife. Sitting here now, our Napa home is stunning. I walk around each day feeling incredibly happy and peaceful in the environment. The colors and aesthetic are soothing, the art is inspiring and the attention to detail is never lost on me. I feel deeply grateful and fortunate that I had the opportunity to partner with Jennifer and Niche and hope to do so on my next project. The bar that they’ve set will be tricky for any other team to meet.

Niche Interiors has a wonderful team. This team of professionals have a great eye for aesthetics and translate them into looks that are within your budget and desires. They will work with modifying anything that you want to tweak and they know just where to source the best stuff. They are incredibly responsive, talented, and nice to work with. I have had two projects with them and all are fluid and seamless. What was especially nice for us was that they have a storage vendor where you can store items that are arriving, and they will assemble to see if the product has any defects. If it does, they also handle the return and exchange. If you want worry-free design and install, make it a Niche Interiors project.

Jennifer and the Niche team are fun to work with, efficient, and respectful of budgets and timelines. They offer aesthetically beautiful guidance while listening to and incorporating client priorities. If I had to pick one talent that I think shines most brilliantly among Niche’s many talents, I think the sense of color in recommending paints and fabrics is the most outstanding. They know how to make everything harmonize. At design meetings, they present choices in a range of styles and prices, but not so many choices as to be overwhelming. They are happy to offer more options if requested. If there is a problem with a custom piece after delivery, they work with the vendor to remediate the problem. My husband and I downsized from our large family home to a small, single level home befitting our retirement lifestyle. We thought living smaller might feel like a step down, but thanks to outstanding aesthetic guidance, we greatly prefer our newly remodeled, more intimate space. We selected Niche after an extensive online search because we loved the photographs we saw on Houzz. The idea we initially presented to Jennifer is that we wanted to create a calm, contemporary, spa like environment and we wanted to incorporate art pieces from our family home. Niche worked seamlessly and collaboratively with us and with our outstanding contractor. The ordinary downsize house we bought was transformed into a contemporary and beautiful oasis. Jennifer and the Niche team made creating the home of our dreams a reality and total pleasure. If there were more than 5 stars to give, we would give them.

My husband and I consider the wonderful ladies at Niche our design dream team. We were completely new to design and furnishing a home. It is clear from their portfolio that they have impeccable taste and that is why we chose them. (Check out their Instagram!) However, what sets them apart is the customer experience you get. Everyone on their team is extremely professional, while being friendly and warm. They hold themselves to the highest standard and it is a joy to work with them. We found picking furniture to be very overwhelming but they put us at ease and held our hand through the entire process. We naturally gravitate towards boring furniture and we needed lots of help making decisions that would create a warm and inviting space. We often said, "Save us from ourselves!" We also were very budget conscious given that we had a lot of space to furnish. They listened and presented us with options that worked well for us. The real test is when there is a bump in the road. When we've had the occasional issue with vendors during this process, Niche has always gone above and beyond to give us a great experience and make things right. Every interaction we have had with them impresses us. They get it. And they have earned our respect and trust.

I’d bookmarked the Niche Interiors website two years before I first contacted Jennifer, because I was so impressed with their work and knew if I ever had a design project, I’d call Niche first. Eventually, I had a whole house to design: remodeling and furnishing over 3,000 square feet from floor to ceiling. For someone who has never done more than order chain-store sofas over the Internet, this was a daunting assignment. Fortunately, I found that Niche bookmark, because Jennifer and her team went far beyond my expectations, not only in designing every inch of my new home, but in managing the entire project and keeping my anxiety in check, no small achievement in itself. In the first weeks, Niche took measurements of everything and started visualizing the project right away. Simultaneously, they got a thorough sense of both my design aesthetic and budget, and in a matter of weeks, provided options for paint, layouts, cabinets, and fixtures. And soon after that, they presented me with a wide array of furniture possibilities for every room, from gorgeous chairs and tables manufactured by small companies to great one-of-a-kind custom pieces from local furniture builders. And they included budget items, too, so I could best decide how to most efficiently spend my money. Niche also suggested some lovely hand-sewn rugs and unique upholstery fabrics, which further elevated every room. Considering all the great work Jennifer and her small team did, and how smoothly they did it, it seemed like I’d hired a much larger company. The Niche team is either amazingly efficient or they’ve somehow adapted to surviving on two hours sleep a night. The bottom line, of course, is my home, which is the manifestation of everything I could’ve possibly desired. Each room feels comfortable and organic but is also perfectly in sync with an elegant Mid-century modern aesthetic. All the beautiful furniture, lighting, tiles, window treatments, the gorgeous upholstery, the custom shelving, even a custom iron book-rack for my library, make every room a delight. The library itself started as an awkwardly shaped office in a dark corner of the house and now it’s perfectly warm and inviting. I also gave Niche the peculiar task of turning another drab corner room into a perfume laboratory, and they managed to find just the right items and combine them with some perfectly placed custom-built shelves, and what started as an unremarkable extra bedroom is now a beautiful showcase. Niche not only saved me an incredible amount of time, they designed a home more attractive and stylish than I could have imagined. Jennifer and her team are both extremely talented and diligent, and I’m forever grateful to them. And to myself for not deleting that old bookmark!
