I have had the pleasure of working with Moore Architects on a large renovation to our home and later, a new custom home. Moore Architects brilliantly designed and oversaw the completion of our new home in Arlington, VA. Charlie Moore had a profound vision for replacing a 1935 Cape Cod with a larger home that was stylish and functional, and which completely fit the environment of the neighborhood. Greg Thomas, the hard-working, insightful, polite, and kind associate architect whom we worked most closely with, was attentive to every detail and eager to make changes in the plans as we discovered new choices that better fit our needs. Over a 21 month period (from September 2013 to June 2015), Moore Architects designed and redesigned and perfected plans, helped us win approval from the Arlington County government, and worked collaboratively with the talented contractor Jim Giallombardo to make sure this once in a lifetime dream became a perfect reality. Greg and designer Jordan Campbell helped us make hundreds of big and small decisions for our new home, and the result is a Craftsman style dwelling that is warm, beautiful, spacious, and well-thought out with incredible attention to detail. Charlie Moore and company give you the kind of artistic, personal, and caring service that is simply priceless. From intimate bedrooms to a coffered ceiling great room to luxurious baths to interesting stair landings and built-ins, their work was impeccable, and their teamwork with Jim made the absolute most out of a small lot.
