I hired Melanie as a decorator to help me redo some of my upholstered pieces to get ready to move to a smaller home. I found her more than helpful. The work was done beautifully and her ideas were very helpful and right on point--helping me to downsize and also treat my furniture so it could be used in a smaller space. I love the look of my new covers and the one new piece she helped me pick out. She understood what I wanted and after looking around my home zeroed right in on what would work for me. I highly recommend her!

We recently worked with Melanie of Melanie Lark Designs to freshen and brighten up our interior. We hired her for her signature "Day of Design" and were extremely pleased with the results. She spent hours with us and helped us use the furniture we already had to create new and functional areas in our home. She rolled up her sleeves and moved furniture and re-arranged art work to result in a totally new look that worked so much better for our current lifestyle than what we had previously. She prepared a summary of our discussion and presented everything to us in a binder with sources to purchase additional items, had we chosen to do so. Melanie also helped us accessorize our rooms and thoughtfully considered our budget. Today our guests walk into our home and never fail to comment on how lovely everything looks now. The spaces are welcoming and inviting, and we have Melanie to thank for that. We discovered that we could make dramatic improvements without breaking the bank. Thanks, Melanie! You're the BEST!

My husband and I hired Melanie for her "Day of Design" service. She did a great job! Melanie helped us focus in on what we needed to do to achieve that "finished" look in our new house -- going room-by-room, giving design tips and helping us clarify our style. All of her recommendations were spot-on; the furniture pieces that we bought based on her advice look terrific and have really helped finish off our living room. She also provided us with valuable guidance regarding our wall-hangings and re-arranging furniture. Following the "Day of Design", we also worked with Melanie to design custom draperies for our dining room. She invested a lot of time in order to achieve a beautiful design that met our budget. Personality-wise, Melanie was great to work with. She has a pleasant demeanor, is very attentive, organized, and was genuinely interested in helping us achieve our vision for our house!

Most importantly, she heard me when I told her about the atmosphere that I was hoping to create. She came back to me with a different color scheme than I was originally considering and it was perfect.
