Hey there! Yes, you! Can you remember what "FUN" used to be before we became responsible adults? Well, if you don't, head on over to Austin Maynard Architects. My wife Angela and I engaged Andrew + Mark (principal directors at AMA) to help renovate our tired-looking 1927 Victorian era weatherboard house in late 2015. We now have a modern, light-filled and beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bathroom space that most of our friends and guests would describe as an oasis of peace in the middle of suburbia. With clever design features, some amazing architecturally designed joinery and a stunning new bedroom extension with connection to our Japanese garden, our house has been transformed into a "home". Andrew and Mark were so much fun to work with and so easy to get along with, we never had any stress, shocks or surprises during the 10 month build. These guys are truly world-class and their swag of architecture awards, both national and international, are proof of their ability. 12 months later, as I sit in our new home and write this, I am reminded of how much of the journey we enjoyed as well as the end product. For us, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to do something personal and Andrew, Mark and the rest of the AMA team along with the builders (CBD contracting) delivered the house of our dreams. Now that sounds like fun, doesn't it?

I engaged AMA to design a new house for me to accomodate how my life had changed and was going to change. I am thrilled with the result, it is more than I had hoped for and was a fun adventure.

Great job on our renovation. Andrew is fun to work with and brilliant. Not afraid to listen but also to convince us gently. Excellent detailing.
