MEL/ARCH architectural studio

I began working with MelArch in late May, early June 2018 of this year. Matthijs Melchiors has been very attentive to me and my needs for my yoga studio. I am excited to be working with him and his team, Jason Beane. They totally think outside the box and have given me more insight to my business. Once I find a contractor for this job, we are set to get started!

We were offered the chance to put our DREAM LIST together for a project with Mel/Arch, and THEN offered the opportunity to discuss the pros, cons, and COSTS upfront, THAT is what I think enables Mel/Arch Architects to stand out. They listen to our wants and needs and communicate back in ways that we understood, not architectural-speak. Communication was the key for us. We will use them when the project comes to fruition.

Matthijs is good to work with and was diligent in completing the drawings. We enjoyed working with him and would recommend him to others. He also did a good job co-ordination the work of the other professionals, like Civil, structural & MEP engineers to get all drawings completed and approved by the city. We are currently working with MEL/ARCH on a major remodel project renovating half of our house and building out a backyard space. Matthijs Melchior has been a great pleasure to work with, he has listened to what we say we want and in turn offers solutions that are better for us than our original ideas. In addition, he’s taking great care and respect to the original design of the house. We live in a 1950’s modern that’s been renovated a couple times before by previous owners… Matthijs is helping us make the overall renovation more inline with the original architecture, but with his creative twist. Matthijs has also approached the renovation in a way that will maximize our savings by offering design solutions that will be more cost effective. I have had a very successful experience working with Melchoir Architecture (Mel/Arch). Matthijs Melchoir has been a delight to work with and his professionalism and consistency has resulted in a residential plan that I am thoroughly happy with - and I am a perfectionist! He helped get all the elements I wanted into the plan while utilizing the space efficiently. Thereby, he was able to keep square footage down and consequently control overall cost. It has been a satisfying experience and I can confidently recommend him.
