Copper Sky Design + Remodel

I had my entire downstairs apartment redone. They redid the bathroom, added a kitchen and a window well in the bedroom, added storage and millwork. They do amazing work, and make sure it's done right. It's perfect if you want a comprehensive renovation; It was more expensive than non-licensed firms I contacted but it was done right, they helped me with design choices, and were always easy to communicate with. I had no ovrages, it was the amount my contract was for.

Copper Sky exceeded expectations with our Master Suite renovation. They were very responsive throughout the 3 month project. When we ran into old termite damage in the framing they offered sound advice on how we should approach the problem. The end result was amazing. Thank you Copper Sky for delivering quality work and innovative design elements to give us the storage and design elements we were looking for.

Working with Copper Sky was great. They did a full kitchen remodel and built us a screened back porch and new deck area. The team handled both design and construction, and everyone we worked with with was fantastic. Micaela Quinta did the design work and was a pleasure to work with. She listened to what we wanted, steered us in the right direction every time and made sure we avoided pitfalls so that the final design was even more than we could have imagined. Clint Tomasino oversaw the construction phase, and was just fantastic. He was on site all the time, always available and responsive. When needed, he had the breadth of knowledge to come up with creative ideas and solutions on the fly. The subs he used were talented and nice. When issues came up, as they invariably do on any project, there was never any question that Copper Sky would make sure everything was made right. They consistently had our back. As a result. We have a fantastic new kitchen and backyard area. Happy to recommend Copper Sky to others.

I can't recommend Copper Sky enough! They made our renovation process as smooth as possible. Everyone we worked with listened to our needs and concerns and did everything in their power to help us realize our vision and make the experience as easy for us as they could. Anytime anything went wrong, Adam our project manager responded quickly to our texts and calls to try and figure out a fix. He even showed up after hours and in the evening to solve the problem. We will absolutely use them if we renovate in the future.

The differentiation of Copper Sky from other renovation companies in Atlanta was evident in the very first conversation I had with Jim Walker. Jim was very direct and honest in how he presented the potential costs for the project, well before a formal estimate was ever assembled and their final estimate was significantly more detailed than any other we received. The same quality and conscientiousness continued throughout the project with every member of the Copper Sky team we interacted with. We were not promised smoke and mirrors, they were always forthright about challenges they were facing yet they always came to the table with one if not multiple potential resolutions. Yes, we hit some snags (that happens when you renovate a 100 year old house), but they worked with us to maintain the budget without sacrificing quality every step of the way. The final product is something we couldn't be any happier with. We will continue to use Copper Sky for all our future projects as we know we've found the best renovation contractor in Atlanta for us.

Jim and his team did an amazing job on our total home renovation of our 1929 Tudor home in Virginia-Highland. Together with his design partner (Rinehart Design Group) the end result was a classic remodel, modernizing the home for the 21st century while keeping with the aesthetics of a vintage home. The remodel was finished within time and budget, and there was clear and ongoing communication throughout the project. All of Copper Sky's employees as well as subcontractors were true professionals, and in addition a pleasure to work with. I would hire Copper Sky again for any future projects.

We’ve lived in our 1930 craftsman bungalow for the past 25 years. We did most of the cosmetic updates when we first moved in and then added a bath and a complete kitchen update/porch addition 18 years ago. Since we love our house, neighbors and neighborhood, we decided we needed to do a complete renovation if we wanted to stay here for another 25 years. We created a list of everything we wanted done: expand the kitchen into the back porch, gut and rebuild the original bath, move the laundry up from the basement, redo all the ceilings, refinish the hardwood floors, build a new deck, paint inside and out, etc. We wanted a list that included everything we felt we needed so we wouldn’t have to do it again. As we began our search for a contractor, I looked at resources that I have as a real estate agent as well as reliable sites such as this one to come up with a list of contractors. We got a variety of responses from the companies we contacted, but the first and best response we got was from Jim Walker at Copper Sky Renovation. The bid was competitive, complete and included a selections list with high and low estimates. The final bid was based on the “high” selections total so it was easy to compare their bid with others we received, and it allowed us to keep our costs down as we made each selection. Jim and the architect took our suggestions and created a design that was exactly what we wanted, even adding things we hadn’t thought of. Their craftsmanship flowed seamlessly with the original house and the updates we did 18 years ago. Our project manager, Dennis, was as professional as you can get. He kept us well informed, listened to us carefully, and responded to any issues we had. The project was completed on time and under budget, and now our house is the envy of the block. Our “new” house is more than we could have imagined when we started this process. The best selection we made was choosing Copper Sky Renovations.

We enclosed our screened porch to create a new sun room with an Ipe deck on top. Jim Walker, Adam Segrest and the team did an amazing job for us. The project was completed in a reasonable amount of time that had been anticipated and they stuck to the budget that had been agreed upon. However, what we appreciated the most was the quality of the work and the genuine respect that everyone at Copper Sky Renovations showed for us and our home. These guys are simply the best. We recommend them highly and without an ounce of reservation.
