We had a poor experience with Jillian Inouye and Horst, her assistant. We hired them for interior design work to pull together a unified look in our new home since we had several different types of furniture from previous houses. Right from the beginning they were slow, unresponsive, and didn't seem to care about our project. Over the next 6 months we made basically no progress because they kept submitting "mood boards" to us which were not what we asked for in terms of the look or design. Eventually after several months of back and forth and waiting weeks for them to respond to basic questions via email, we ended the contract. As soon as we ended the contract they made a desperate attempt to get us to buy furniture through them (which of course we did not do) and instead of admitting their mistakes with this project, they have been fighting us for months trying to get us to pay an amount that exceeds our initial agreed upon amount - even though we received nothing of benefit from them. Poor customer service, poor business skills, almost to the point of being unethical. Buyer beware!!!

Inouye Interiors created a lovely staging design for my townhouse. Jillian's taste is impeccable and the result was very stylish and appropriate for the Hawaii Kai setting. Moreover, I was happy with the overall service of Jillian and her crew, who were very professional, courteous, and paid attention to detail and time constraints. Interior designer, contractor, artist, Jillian does it all with a smile and a positive attitude! Jillian patiently listened to what I had in mind for my home, which was to use as much of the existing structure as possible and modernize an older home into a more contemporary home. She did a beautiful job! I get many compliments on the work she did. Jillian really has a gift of being able to see what your house could look like and putting it all together piece by piece. Not having much experience in this area, Jillian patiently guide me through the process of selecting not only furniture, but painting the interior and exterior, tile and hardwood floor selection, interior furnishings, etc. She even painted my centerpiece painting and assisted with the landscape design! What a blessing it was to work with Jillian! My home came out much nicer than I would have imagined. I would highly recommend Jillian to help you with your home!!

Jillian Inouye of Inouye Interiors staged our $1M+ home in Mililani Mauka and our home sold about six weeks later. Our home had been on the market for about 5 months before we had Jillian perform the staging. My only wish is that we would have had her do the staging earlier. While there was a cost involved in staging, it did not compare to the cost of letting the home sit empty. I Enjoyed working with Jillian very much. She did a great job staging our house that we had listed for sale. I hired Jillian Inouye to do my daughter's house in Hawaii Kai. She did such a beautiful job, I wish I were living there instead. Everything she chose went well with the color scheme of the home.
