A trusted Multi-Award Winning Design Studio, specializing in residential design, right through to decoration. At JMD we work with residents from small apartments to large homes. On new builds we are fresh eyes to look over your plans and ensure all your spaces work according to your needs. With extensions and renovations we also explore the possibilities of existing floor plans, and provide design options for maximizing the existing footprint. Whether you are renovating your existing home or building a new home, we work with you on all aspects of design and decoration to bring your project to completion. Although we enjoy the whole process of creating beautiful homes, we are especially passionate about the wet spaces, which families use every day. Our expertise lies in our ability to intuit clients’ design wants and needs, creating beautiful spaces which maximise both function and aesthetics. Customer service is our priority and we pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have forged with our clients over the years. Whether you are designing a new home or wanting to renovate your existing home we will bring our passion and expertise in design to create a simply beautiful home for you. Initial consultation is where we like to start with our clients. * This is where we formulate a brief with them, listen to their hopes and dreams for their home. From that brief we can then accurately quote works going forward and give clear time frames. * This also gives us the opportunity to see their space, have a look at its strengths and limitations, and make recommendations based on years of experience dedication to good design. * This initial appointment gives the client opportunity you to meet me, and see if I’m the right designer for them, without them feeling locked in. The relationship we have with our clients is as equally important to us as designing beautiful spaces for them. They need to feel that we have heard their vision for their home, and feel confident that we will translate this information into amazing designs that we believe it will exceed their expectations. Initial consultation time can be between 1-2hours, depending on the size of the project (more than two hours we may break your brain with to much information on your space)

Jasemine & Skarlet designed the majority of our 1980s house in a modern mid-century style. The result has been stunning! The selected finishes were exactly in line with what we wanted. They worked within our budget and sourced affordable finishes that we could never have found ourselves. The design process was streamlined and took all the stress out of the decision-making. I knew every detail had been carefully considered without having to spend hours doing it myself. We have ended up with such a bespoke and warm mid-century home, featuring beautiful olive carpets, wooden cladding, a teak kitchen, burgundy bathroom tiles, stone floors, and a chic mustard laundry. The house now has so much character and warmth that we could never have achieved ourselves — all within budget and on time.

We engaged Jasmine McClelland Design to redesign our ensuite and main family bathroom and had a fantastic experience working with Jasmine and her team. I had collected quite a few inspiration images and ideas beforehand, and they were brilliant at interpreting them and distilling the look I was hoping to achieve. The result is two bathrooms that feel completely individual rather than off-the-shelf. One of our favourite elements is a beautiful forged iron detail framing the overhead cabinetry that Jasmine suggested. We then had it custom made by a local forge and it has become a real feature of the space — something we would never have thought of ourselves and which gives the bathroom a wonderfully unique character. What we particularly love is how the design respects the Art Deco character of our home while still feeling fresh and modern. Much of the project took place while we were living overseas, but Jasmine and her team made the process incredibly easy with excellent communication and organisation throughout. We are absolutely delighted with the result and would happily recommend Jasmine McClelland Design.

Jasmine McClelland Design supported me to turn a tired 1970’s three bedroom beach house into the most exquisite, serene and luxe space that I could ever have imagined. The process of design was thoughtful, practical and caring, while truly retaining the essence of the house and the process of selecting paint colours, surfaces and fixtures and fittings was kept as joyous and simple as possible. All details were documented for permanent reference, communication was responsive and thorough and all members of the team were an absolute delight to work with. What I love the most about this experience, is the look on peoples face as they enter through the front door of the house and feel the subtle colours, elegant design and beauty of what has been created. PS I am also now a big fan of strip lighting!

Thank you, Susie, for your kind and generous words; they mean a lot. We were delighted to work with you again and be entrusted to re-design your beach house. We love that it brings you so much joy and warm feelings when you share it with your family and friends. And you are now a fan of strip lighting, ha! I'm so thrilled!

After meeting with a number of kitchen and bathroom companies in my home I decided that I wanted something more unique than they were offering. That’s when I contacted Jasmine McClelland Design. It was the right decision. JMD designed the kitchen, powder room, ensuite and main bathroom, which incorporates a laundry area, to reflect the unique nature of the property. It was a pleasure to work with Jasmine and Skarlet and with Luke Taylor of LG Creative Projects, their recommended builder, who faithfully interpreted the design concept and ensured the build phase went smoothly. It’s a joy to spend time in my newly converted home. The bathroom, ensuite and powder room are stunning yet practical and the kitchen looks spectacular. The tiles and lighting are an integral part of the design which makes use of the curves in my building. In addition to the renovated spaces, Jasmine also suggested the paint colours for the dining and living area, taking my existing furnishings into account. It is a masterpiece that I enjoy spending time in.

Thank you Vivien for your kind words. We so loved our design and renovation journey with you. The opportunity to design your incredibly unique spaces in your silo was an Interior Designers dream come true. Skarlet and I were excited and energised by the whole challenge. Thank you for entrusting JMD and Luke’s team to bring it to life. We love that your new spaces bring you joy, as we believe good design inspires well-being.

I engaged JMD to design me a new kitchen and bathroom in my 2 bedroom Brunswick terrace house, along with some custom cabinetry in the living room. The things that the team managed to achieve in my small spaces are amazing! Some simple but clever ideas completely transformed the way I use the house, and basically gave me a whole second living area. The result is also so beautiful - everyone who comes by comments on different aspects of it. It's been over a year now, and every day I still enjoy little details that make it feel luxurious, like the in-shelf lighting, as well as the extremely neat and useful storage. The whole process was easy. First, Jasmine came and spent some time with me in my home to understand how I use and want to socialise in the space, and then delivered a design that really reflects how I live. And throughout the design and build process, the JMD team was always available to answer questions and make any small changes I wanted. I used a builder that JMD recommended, and who does a lot of work with their designs. He and his tradies were fantastic and extremely detail-focused. Everything was delivered on budget and on time, which seems to be pretty much unheard of. For a first-time renovator I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to show me how it's done.

We had the pleasure of working with Jasmine and her team to redesign and renovate our bathroom and powder room - and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not only were the designs stunning, but they also function beautifully and bring warmth and texture to our home. The design process was collaborative and communication was clear, effective and easy, which set us up for success with Luke and his construction crew from L&G Creative Projects. I highly recommend JMD.

Thank you Dene and Antony for your generous review. We had the most wonderful time designing your bathrooms and participating in bringing them to life with L&G Creative Projects. We also loved that you were open to a bespoke design made by a local artisan, which looks stunning. We are so thrilled you love your bathrooms and we can’t wait to share them on our socials.

We had the pleasure of working with Jasmine and the team, to bring our dream home into reality! From the first initial phone conversation with Jasmine, I knew that she was the person that do just this. We were building a new house and JMD helped us design the kitchen, lounge, laundry, powder room, main bedroom/ensuite, main bathroom and outdoor living. Jasmine was able to establish quickly what our lifestyle was and what we wanted to achieve to make this our home. She was patient, tested our boundaries (for the greater good) and always presented us with options/new ideas. The team were responsive and knowledgeable, making communication with all achievable. We absolutely love our home and know that this was contributed by the work of Jasmine and the team. Thank you, we will be forever grateful!

Jasmine was an absolute delight to work with, and we have no hesitation in recommending her. Jasmine was the only designer we interviewed who demonstrated that she understood what client centred really meant. She genuinely listened to our brief and seemed to bring no preconceived ideas to the table, however she was also able to incorporate her great ideas and design vision. She worked well with our builder, and her ego never got in the way of incorporating his or our ideas into the design. We were sure there were times she didn’t agree with the choices we made, however she never lost sight of it being our house and our project. The space that we had was tricky (and had stumped some others), however Jasmine was able to think outside the square to renovate the space into something that we really love. At the end of the project we have no design regrets - and we would hazard a guess that few can say that of a renovation project. We did our renovation at a particularly stressful time (during Covid lockdowns), and Jasmine’s sunny outlook and upbeat personality was perfect to jolly us along when stress and decision fatigue was starting to take its toll. If you are looking for a genuinely client centred designer, Jasmine is fantastic

Thank you, Jeannie, for your incredibly kind and generous words. I think you and your partner must also take some credit for undertaking a renovation during the most unusual of times. I will certainly never forget our journey together. It was a pleasure working with you both, I’m so thrilled you love the end result.

I approached Jasmine and her team for a Kitchen/Laundry renovation in a small unit, and I couldn't be more impressed with the ideas and designs they came up with in a small area. They made use of every inch of the space which I can imagine was challenging :) I take my hat off to both Jasmine and Scarlet for there hard work and passion for making an area a beautiful place to sit and cook in. My dream was for more bench space less clutter and a breakfast bar and they certainly presented me with what I wanted, I couldn't be more happier :) I love Jasmine's zest and passion for designing even to the point of having the right lighting in an area to make it feel soft and cosy to sit in. I couldn't recommend them enough for there creative style, design and hard work. They certainly leave a smile on your face. Thanking you both.

We first approached Jasmine and JMD in 2018, after spending a lot of time searching through Houzz, to assist with a refresh of our house. At the time our children were on the cusp of leaving home, and we wanted to zone the living spaces to better suit a couple, but also make the house more sustainable and contemporary. Two bathrooms, a kitchen, powder room, and upgraded living spaces later, we are delighted with our home, which is now a cozy oasis that works cohesively, whether there are two of us, or the extended brood is staying. Over five years and two separate projects, Jasmine and her team have been wonderful to work with. They are great at listening, challenging, incorporating your lifestyle, and developing a palette that suits you and your needs, not just relying on the latest design fad. Communication is easy; Jasmine and the extended team, including the lovely Barbra, are prompt, efficient and understanding, particularly if you are trying to manage these projects while juggling work and family life. They also have fabulous relationships with a preferred builder, who is amazing, and many other artisans who bring a bespoke aspect to the overall finish. We love the outcome Jasmine and JMD have delivered for us and will continue to recommend them to anyone wanting to improve the liveability and ambience of their home.

Jasmine was recommended to us by a friend and from our first conversation we knew she was the right person to work with to design our new kitchen. As people who love to entertain but also also have a small child, having a beautiful, yet functional and durable kitchen and entertaining space was very important. From the beginning Jasmine and Skarlet worked with us to understand how we wanted to live in the space, what was important to us from a design and functionality perspective. They took on board our ideas but also encouraged us to think outside the box and be more adventurous with our choice. JMD prepared several options for the layout and finishings for the kitchen and walked us through them in detail, giving us plenty of time to consider and discuss. JMD had a great vision for the kitchen as well as ideas as to how we could reconfigure the open plan living room to make the most of the new kitchen. We are so thrilled with the finished kitchen, the colours and finishings are perfect and it is everything we hoped for and more. The new island bench (designed by JMD) is now a favourite place to cook, entertain and read the paper. Throughout the process JMD were a delight to work with, always responsive and helpful. We loved that we could also engage JMD to help review the plans from the builder and for advice along the way. We engaged JMD’s recommended builder for the build and they did a fantastic job. It was so great working with someone who Jasmine trusted and who also had experience working with her and the team. We will definitely work with JMD again.

Thank you Lucy for your lovely words. We loved working on your dream kitchen renovation with you and meeting your new family member during the process, she is such a delight. We love also, that it’s the simple moments in life like reading the paper at your new island bench that makes you happy. That’s what we hope for, that good design is about making the everyday more enjoyable.

Jasmine was recommended to us by our builder and she proved everything he promised: top end, meticulous in design and detail and providing the whole package. We were looking for someone to design three bathrooms where there had been two, and work out some extremely tricky roof lines and sloping ceilings – a job that seemed to confuse and confound most people who looked at it. Jasmine and her team were exceptional – measuring and working out all the relevant roof heights and slopes that went everywhich way, moving walls and using cavities but all with minimal building needs. The outcome is three beautiful modern bathrooms using every bit of space thoughtfully with plenty of storage and every convenience considered. They look amazing and are so easy to live in. We were under a very tight time deadline to get all the plans and fixtures and fittings ordered in time for the build to start and Jasmine and her team prioritised our job so that this all worked and the entire job was completed to time. (The builder that we used works with Jasmine closely and often and he was by far the best builder we’ve ever worked with.) I have would highly recommend JM Design and in fact I already have a friend using their services. You won’t regret it!
