Jimmy Crisp turned a lovely little one bedroom house into a magnificent two bedroom without changing the foot print. Complex project involved flipping the kitchen from the second floor to the first floor and surrounding it with a bank of windows to enjoy a spectacular river view. Cannot say enough good things about this brilliant architect.

We engaged Jimmy Crisp to design and help us build a 7-figure new construction home after reviewing his portfolio and loving their design style. We only had a vague idea of what we wanted to do, and Jimmy and his team were extremely helpful in developing ideas and trying anything on paper we asked to see. Their plans are extremely detailed with every nuance thought out, they regularly brought up helpful ideas and perspective that we would have not thought of on our own, and when it came to construction itself they are demanding of builders to carry out the design and quality exactly as set forth in the final plans---looking out closely for our interest as owners. Further, his team was extremely helpful and proactively involved in all the day-to-day items that come up during the course of construction, making small changes, suggestions, and adapting to whatever each week would bring that needed to be worked though. We appreciated in particular how inviting and adaptive they were for us to have any amount of involvement we wanted---I would have felt equally comfortable with Crisp "watching the store" as we built if we were out of the country than I was being as involved as I chose to be. Jimmy and his company have built quite the reputation for themselves as a company catering to high quality design and building, and in my opinion it is very easy to see why---they do what they say they will, when they say they will. Highly recommended for any top shelf project!

Crisp Architects did a wonderful job designing and managing our project. Jimmy and Arthur were instrumental in understanding our needs and applying that to the overall design of the house. The team at Crisp truly understood how to incorporate the modern amenities while keeping with the integrity and history of our house. They were a pleasure to work with very thorough and organized.

Our experience with Jimmy and his team was beyond expectations. They are highly professional, approachable, responsive and easy to work with. The project was a complete interior renovation of our saltbox colonial home, and while we did not make any major changes to the layout, Crisp Architects was instrumental in finding the right balance and proportions for all the changes we did make, while staying true to our style. From that first conversation, to where we are today at mid-construction of an incredible addition and renovation that Crisp Architects designed, I cannot say enough about the entire team and level of expertise. They are not only the sweetest people, but they are true experts in their trade, and particularly with historic architecture. Communication with Crisp Architects is immediate, reaction to your ideas is open minded and responded to with honest, valuable feedback, usually adding a new way of thinking to consider. My husband appreciates how Crisp successfully blended our old house architecture with the addition so beautifully, and how the team remains engaged with you and the project until its completion. We could not be more thrilled and we only hope to be able to hire them again for additional building on the property! Never once did I feel like we had the small project across the river, and they have kept us in our modest budget. We love Crisp Architects!
