While I was in the process of contracting with a custom home builder, the design work of Lynn Fenwick had caught my eye when visiting a show home during the local Parade of Homes. After a meet and greet and review of project intentions, it became quickly apparent that employing Lynn would be a perfect fit in helping my project come to fruition. Lynn brings many years of experience to the table combined with a great eye for design. These assets, combined with an every watchful eye on costs and budgetary constraints, were an essential mix in the pathway from the initial discovery and planning of design elements to the final execution. As a designer, she excels in delivering an aesthetically pleasing space without sacrificing the equally important elements of form and function so that a client will ultimately be happy in all aspects of the project. Based on her extensive experience from working with other clients, there were many occasions when Lynn expressed concern over ideas for the project that I was entertaining. She was effectively able to guide me from going off the rails in finding solutions through design that would allow me to be happy with the end result and avoid costly revisions later. I found Lynn to consistently display the highest standard of professionalism and excellence in my interactions with her during the roughly 18 months of the project. She takes it to heart to ensure that the client is happy and her willingness to go to bat to keep the project's execution from going off target is exemplary. We had numerous meetings at her office as well as at supplier's shops in sourcing out materials and narrowing down choices when faced with seemingly infinite options to choose from. Meetings also occurred at the project site, as necessary, to ensure that everything was going as planned and that no surprises would erupt that weren't apparent on paper. Throughout all of the interactions with the builder and numerous trades involved in building my custom home, I can whole-heartedly say that Lynn was probably the single most valuable asset in tying everything together from start to finish. Employing a designer is not cheap but when looking in the rear-view mirror, I couldn't fathom having built my house without her extensive and insightful contribution. If I had to sum it up, Lynn delivers exceptional value.

We didn’t realize how important including an interior designer was in order to have your project realize its maximal potential. We found Lynn to be very beneficial from the initial stages of planning. She was able to tell us appropriate room dimensions to allow table, chairs and furniture to fit esthetically and comfortably in a room. This resulted in our house having appropriate space around furniture to allow comfortable flow. She informed us of standard dimensions of tables, chairs and islands so we could plan appropriate space around the furniture instead of the more difficult task of trying to find furniture to fit a room with dimensions not well thought out. My hsband and I had very different design ideas. Lynn was able to blend our styles into a cohesive look. Lynn added a lot of suggestions with regards to incorporating textures, lighting and colors that we wound never have considered; however, after seeing the final results, we realized that if we hadn’t incorporated these ideas, our overall result would not have been as amazing as it is. We found Lynn very meticulous and detail oriented. She made sure that all of the planning details were carried out by the contractor and trades. Overall Lynn is a very creative designer who will incorporate your ideas while providing constructive ideas of her own without being over-bearing. She was always available when needed, easy to communicate with and always took every task to completion in a timely fashion. We highly recommend Lynn Fenwick.

Lynn Fenwick has been helping me renovate our home, in stages, for the last 10 years. We started in the family room. Lynn patiently guided me through the process of finding my style, encouraging me in my selection of colours, furniture styles and fabrics, lighting and other accessories, and gently steering me straight when my ideas were not good ones. Lynn designed a spectacular coved ceiling and built-in TV/bookshelf unit in the family room, which we adore. Two years later, Lynn helped us design new mission-style windows throughout the house, including a wall of windows in our previously dark living room. We eventually worked through refinishing the dining room furniture and replacing of the living room furniture, incorporating heirlooms and antiques with custom new pieces. We redesigned the exterior decks in our back and side yards. We chose new colours for all the walls. Throughout it all, Lynn demonstrated exceptional professionalism, unerring style, and unfailing good humour. Her work is original, and her judgment is excellent. She has the magical art of pulling together all the pieces while making me feel as though I had done it. She is fast, efficient and reliable, and her fees are fair. She is also charming, upbeat, and encouraging to the end. I now count her as a friend. I would give my unqualified recommendation of Lynn Fenwick to anyone wanting interior or exterior design advice of the highest quality. You will love her.

The Carlson Group of Companies have used Lynn Fenwick from Fenwick and Company Interior Design for both of our interior office renovations with great results. We are so pleased with the outcome it's a pleasure coming to work. The largest project was at Carlson Engineered Composites at 692 mission Street and today 10 years latter it shows with the best. My wife and I have also used Fenwisk and Design in our home with great results.

I am working with Lynn Fenwick right now to plan a renovation for 2 bathrooms in the lower level at our cottage. We did a similar project in 2016, and her help was invaluable. I find it difficult to visualize things spatially, and to know what a floor, colour, fabric, or countertop choice will look like "big". She is terrific at pointing out the pros or cons of various choices. I first used Lynn Fenwick to help me with furniture and design decisions almost thirty years ago. She has helped me choose fabric to recover a beloved sectional sofa, and then to cover the replacement couch and loveseat when the original sectional was finally retired. Lynn helped me with the design and multitude of choices for materials and furniture placement, paint, light fixtures, flooring – all of it, when we built our new home in 1996. In just one example, she saved me hours and hours of time helping me choose the flooring for our house- 3 carpet choices, 3 different vinyl floorings, ceramic tiles, and hardwood that all worked together colour wise. She gathered together samples in our colours, in three different price points, and helped me choose by telling me the good and bad points about each choice. This would have taken me forever, and I would have obsessed forever, wondering if I was making the right choices, where she just knows how it will look when it’s done. Lynn allows me to be me, which I love. She understands what I am comfortable with, what my favorite colours are, and that I want things to actually work, not just look good. At the same time, she challenges me with new options, and with things that had never even occurred to me. In the new house she asked me where I wanted to look when standing at the kitchen island, and when I couldn’t decide, we included 2 electrical plugs in the plan, one on each side, and I love that I have that option now. I can plug in the mix master while facing the oven, or the frying pan while facing the cook top and sink. She asked me the height I wanted the chandelier in the front hall to hang, gave me 2 options, and the rationale for each, and the decision was then easy to make. Lynn’s experience is vast, and she knows how things will turn out in the end, which I cannot picture. In 2016 we completed an upstairs bathroom renovation at the lake, and Lynn was involved from start to finish, using just photographs and my own measures to help us plan it out. I got discouraged at one point trying to find a bath tub that would fit, and she took the time to search for one that suited our space and needs perfectly. She challenged us to increase the size of the mirror and hang the light fixture through the mirror. She said it would look awesome, and it absolutely does. In choosing paint colours we looked through all the samples at least three times for “beiges” that did not look peachy. She didn’t give up until we had made the right choice. We also used Lynn to help us with a pantry/mud room installation at the cottage. She understood the need to keep costs down, as it’s “just a cottage”, and helped us source a reasonably priced supplier for the cupboards, which she had planned and designed, based on our storage needs, and a few pictures I had cut out of magazines with ideas that I liked. She again challenged me on the arrangement of the shelves, as I had originally gone in with one idea, but she showed us plans a few different ways, and recommended that we stack the shelves for the cooler, laundry basket, recycling, and a Rubbermaid container that makes the round trip each week to the cottage and back. I absolutely love that the space was planned to fit our needs, that everything has a place, and that it looks great, as well as functions great! In addition to Lynn’s talents and insights, what makes it great to work with her are her pleasant personality, her sense of humour, and her real interest in how the projects turn out, and make us feel. I lucked out when I first met Lynn years ago, buying furniture, and she has helped me many times since with design decisions big and small, in three different homes. I would recommend Lynn Fenwick to anyone- she is professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. She makes it easier to make decisions because she has seen this colour, or this pattern, or this design before, and she just knows how it will turn out. She can see the big picture. For me, it has helped to calm my nerves, and know that I am making the right choices; ones that will look great and be easy to live with. As for cost, Lynn’s experience does not come cheap, but what I have spent on her design fees has definitely saved me from some expensive re-dos , when I may have made the wrong choice if left to my own devices!

Lynn Fenwick and her staff are the most professional and talented designers I have ever worked with. They are always on time, and if within their control, always on budget!! I would highly recommend Fenwick & Company Interior Design for any design needs....from high end to general consulting needs, they are the best!

My husband and I have had Lynn Fenwick as our interior designer for many projects including our family home, business office and reception area. We have always been very pleased with her ability to interpret our thoughts and design preferences. Our retirement condo was the latest project. Lynn designed the complete interior and made the transition to our new space comfortable and beautiful.

She looks after all design elements with sensitivity to the client's wishes and injects incredible ideas that clients may not be aware of as beautiful solutions to design conundrums. She will be there every step of the way including helping a client in the shopping process for furniture and accessory design pieces.
