I hired Pilar to assist me in choosing paint colors for my home. She was easy to talk to, easy to schedule and work with and most importantly she helped me pick three wonderful colors for my home. She also advised me on moving forward with a kitchen remodel. And, she referred me to an excellent contractor. The painting is 1/3 done in the house and it looks amazing ... like a new house with a classy modern look. I also plan to ask Pilar to assist me in with future needs such as carpet selection, et al. I can't say enough good things about the renovation/design project that Pilar led for me. It was a full kitchen renovation, combined with new flooring and painting throughout my condo (plus lighting, fixtures and so many other things that I added to the project as we went). Pilar was all the things I look for when I work with someone - she was knowledgeable, helpful, responsive, very efficient in how she approached the work, and most of all, has a high level of integrity. And, she just has a great eye for design - my kitchen, and my home, have been transformed thanks to Pilar's vision and her ability to see what was possible. She also performed a miracle in finding an available, hard working, and efficient contractor (which is no small feat in Seattle). She was an excellent project manager, which was critical given my schedule, and always gave me just the right amount of choices (not too many, not too few). And, as the project went on, it moved from beyond the construction phase, to what to purchase (and Pilar is great at balancing what looks good without breaking the bank - she is very mindful of project costs). Our realtor introduced us to Pilar. We were overwhelmed with selecting new furniture after remodeling our new home. From the moment we met Pilar we felt so relieved and excited. She has an incredible eye for design and is so fun to work with. She picked out all the furnishings, suggested some really cool ideas for the remodel that we never would have thought of, saved us money in the process, and we are thrilled with the end result! We could not have done it without her! I absolutely think she is the best interior designer in the world:) And a complete sweetheart!

After years of renting and searching for a home for my family, I found a townhouse that fit our lifestyle perfectly. It was important to me that the house was welcoming and furnished with a consistent theme throughout. Pilar took the time to understand my style and developed a whole house as well as room by room plan. She worked with me from the beginning when we ordered furniture and chose window coverings, to the end when she decorated the spaces with dozens of items to make it feel like a home. My children love the spaces in this house and friends have commented how cozy the house feels. Pilar's guidance really helped to make this house feel special.

After buying a house with every room needing at least a coat of paint and some rooms a full renovation, I decided I needed help. I am so very happy I called Pilar. She is exceptionally easy to work with and it’s obvious she cares about getting a well-thought-out design. I am a detail-oriented engineer and fan of design, so I know I can be particular in my design opinions and potentially a pain to work with; However Pilar is very patient with me as I spend time exploring alternatives only to decide on the item that she picked out in the first place. She has always encouraged my input as it’s clear she wants the end result to be what’s best for my family and I. I originally asked her for help with furniture selection and paint in the living room, dining room, and family room. I really enjoyed how she worked and the suggestions that she made. She took the time to provide an overall vision and then a few options at different price points for each piece. There were definitely some pieces that I wouldn’t have even considered that have been perfect. I love that while the end result is good enough to be shown in a magazine, she clearly has her own unique style that isn’t something you are going to see everywhere and isn’t just a collection of the latest trends. Later we undertook a full renovation of our laundry room and bathroom. It was, again, a pleasure collaborating with Pilar as I decided the functional features and Pilar incorporated them in a design concept, from which we together decided the details. There were a few surprises that popped up behind the walls during the renovation, requiring a plan B. Pilar was great in quickly coming up with ideas. The end result was perfect. It was an excellent balance of design and function, neutral yet interesting, and modern but with clean classic lines. Finally it was time to do a full redesign and expansion of the kitchen. Pilar’s design was so unique but very well thought-out. Given the space, the new kitchen could not be more functional yet with her attention to detail it is stunning to see. Her continuity of lines in the kitchen and sense of proportion make for a kitchen that looks very intuitive yet is completely different from what was there before. Most importantly she not only designed the kitchen but thought through how the kitchen integrates with the dining room and rest of the house. Again, she really took the time to listen and incorporate what I was looking for in the new layout. I have worked with Pilar for over 2 years and have complete trust in her judgment. She has always been prompt in her responses and timely in her design work and feedback. She works well with the contractors we have hired. I am looking forward to working with Pilar on our final few renovations and completing the vision of our home.

I hired Pilar to fully furnish a new condo. I am extremely busy and as a result needed a turnkey solution - someone who'd just run with it and involve me on the way on an as needed basis. Pilar was quick to build out a vision for a clean contemporary look, that fit well with the existing condo's look&feel. Pilar was very pro-active in making this happen. From time-to-time she'd ping me when decisions needed to be made i.e. more expensive furniture but she drove a lot of the smaller decisions herself and they were all great ones. The result far exceeded my expectations. Not only does the apartment look amazing but Pilar went above and beyond on a lot of the small things to make the condo move-in ready and also managed the project and cost very well. I highly recommend Pilar!

It was a pleasure working with Pilar. She helps us to design our Restaurant. She's flexible on what she provides,she'll do anything from helping you pick out paint colors to actually doing the shopping and setting everything up for you - whatever you need. *She stuck to our budget. *She's creative, she has ideas and suggestions that I wouldn't have thought. My experience working with Pilar from start to finish was fantastic. Feeling overwhelmed with many decisions to make and having never hired a designer, I found her on houzz and hired her for help with my kitchen and living room. She helped me with: - Kitchen cabinet color, - Accent wall color, - Cabinet pulls, - All new lights throughout downstairs, entryway, living room, dining room, powder room, - Area rugs, - Provided powder room vanity selections/ideas, - Faucet, - Accent furnishings (although I initially thought I needed all new living room furnishings, she suggested I instead focus my budget on lighting + accents and wait to replace sofa/chairs) - Window coverings, - Furniture Layout We were on a fairly tight timeline and Pilar was very responsive, extremely helpful and has an excellent eye for design. At the same time, she is very approachable in that she has the best ideas and finds great deals on anything from higher end stores to online stores I'd never heard of. I would definitely work with Pilar again on other projects and recommend her very highly!

I hired Pilar to help me with my newly remodeled home. I needed to upgrade furniture, arrange what I had and figure out what was missing. We focused on my son's bedroom and playroom, and my living room. But, she helped with other parts as well. I was looking for someone that could help guide me, recognizing the styles that I like and make it all flow together, and not break the bank. Pilar has exceeded my expectations on all fronts. She really listens well, and took the time to understand what I needed. She moved pieces away that we agreed weren't working, recommended new pieces, and pulled together a great look. Pilar has an interesting way of working. She absorbs a lot of information, takes pictures, and then puts together collages and pictures of how she sees it. Based on my feedback, she tweaked and made other suggestions until it felt right. She has a very good eye, and an amazing sense of color and space. Everything she recommended gets compliments. She wanted to add an arching lamp to balance a room, and a tall studded headboard to a bedroom that helped finish off a room. Things I didn't know I needed or liked fit so nicely. She will send suggestions from all sorts of websites and stores. Places I never heard of before, but she identifies cool pieces. I got/she found items from West Elm, Room and Board, Dot and Bo, Wayfair, Kasala, Design within Reach, Thomasville, Dania, One Kings Lane, Bed Bath and Beyond, Tuesday Morning, and not to forget, Craigslist. Another thing is that Pilar will come by with some pillows or objects she finds along the way to see how they work. If they do, great, if not, no problem. In terms of cost, she is extremely effective and efficient, and I got tremendous value from her. Money well spent. I selected Pilar because I liked that she flexed her style, and got great references on this site. I'm so pleased with how she's helped me with my home.

We finally finished construction on our daylight basement (bar, bdrm, bath, exercise rm) and decided to hire a professional to help furnish/decorate and to update the rest of the house on a short/long term plan. I researched Interior Designers on Houzz and chose Pilar because of her project photos and superior reviews. We wanted the new basement to be contemporary but needed the rest of the house to tie in, which was more traditional. Pilar helped pull the entire house together by mixing new pieces with existing furniture that we cannot afford to replace at this time. She brought over some of her own personal accessories (lamps, vases, benches, etc.) to see if they worked, and they did. What I appreciated the most was Pilar's easy-going, but professional manner. I was apprehensive to hire a designer because I thought I would be pressured to spend more than our budget allowed. Nothing Pilar recommended was out of our price range. All the discount stores.....It was like shopping with an old friend. This short term project started right before the holidays and she worked hard to make sure our house was ready. She rearranged furniture in one room that I admit, took me a few days to love (it had been the same for 14 years!!) but now I can't believe I had it any other way. Our family & friends love the improvements but most importantly my husband is happy...big, big win. Thank you Pilar!!
