Derisio Construction

Our project was a big one. We were planning to finish about 1,300 square feet of our basement, adding a full bath, wet bar, gym area, and opening up a large wall on our main floor that would allow for a smoother flow and access to the new basement/lower level. We did our due-diligence in vetting several reputable contractors and construction companies. After a few meetings with Nick, we opted to use DeRisio Construction for our project. It was easy to tell that Nick knew all that would be involved in completing our project, He is very knowledgeable when it comes to building structures, framing, wood-working, and he was honest with us if we had a request that was just physically not possible. Our vision was a beautiful 2nd floor of living space. Nick and his team gave us just that. Before the job even started, Nick had a detailed plan and schedule for the project. Each day and week of progress was listed out. It was nice to see it so well-organized, and understand what would be completed by the end of each week. Also listed was a budget for certain parts of the project (bathroom, flooring, bar area, etc)—which helped us to keep costs in-line, and there were no surprises when it came to payment. Nick was on-site each morning to say hello and give us any updates on what would be happening that day, alert us of any issues or potential changes to the plan—overall, there were ZERO major changes from the original project plan—that is pretty amazing to say with such a large renovation! DeRisio had a consistent team of 3-4 craftsmen that would be on-site, working hard, cleaning up daily, and keeping any and all dust from entering our main floor area The guys were all extremely friendly and polite—they became a part of the family a few months! Our dog misses them now that the project is done! The quality of work that was done was top-notch. None of the framing, insulation, drywall, electrical, paint, or plumbing was completed taking any short-cuts. We cannot say enough how glad we are that we chose DeRisio Construction, as we now have our dream 1st floor completed! See the pictures for yourself! Thank you again, Nick, Steve, Dennis & all!

Nick & everyone who worked with us were fantastic. On time, friendly, super clean, and my dogs loved them. They all had great suggestions when we needed them and straightforward answers when we asked. Cannot recommend them enough. Now that the bathroom is done, we’ll use them again for the kitchen for sure.

Do not hire this company. Check the Monroe County records website first. Nick is being sued by multiple people, including customers, subcontractors, lumber companies. He also has a very large tax lien - over $600k. He is not truthful and will not be able to guarantee his work as I’m sure he’ll be going out of business and possibly to jail very soon.

If we could give Nick Dirisio less than one star we would. Nick takes the money from you and does not deliver the job. Pretty sure that's called stealing. Excuse after excuse and still no one shows up to work. Leaves one to wonder where all that money is going - clearly not to any workers! If you haven't signed up yet for your work, run while you still can people!!!

I have hired Derisio Construction for projects in three different homes. These projects have included complete bathroom & kitchen replacements, updating electric service, custom carpentry, two outdoor decks and numerous window/door replacements. The work is consistently done with precision, completed on-time and within established budgetary guidelines. The various Derisio employees I have worked with are skilled, professional and courteous. The job site was always left clean each night and each final product was outstanding.

Nick DeRisio and crew are awesome. Full stop. We recently purchased a stately home in the Browncroft neighborhood, so it was important to find the right contractor for the job. And that’s exactly what we found with DeRisio. What originally started as simply cosmetic improvements led to other projects, including plumbing work and a bathroom remodel. DeRisio is a reliable company that prides itself in top-notch customer service, to say nothing of a great price. Their team of painters, carpenters and plumbers over-delivered. Though we had a crew of workers in our home (up to eight at a time), they consistently left the job site neat and clean. In addition to being detail oriented, creative and proactive, they are nice people who are trustworthy and very down to earth. They understand the importance of listening to, hearing and implementing what their clients want and... they always seem happy to go to work. That says a lot. We got much more than we paid for the job. I would unreservedly recommend Nick and his crew to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and creative team. We quite literally have people asking for his name every time they come into our home. Thanks Nick and team!

Our family has hired Derisio Construction for multiple projects, including: a full kitchen remodel, converting a closet to a first floor powder room, a full master bath and closet remodel, replacement of all windows, updates to our front porch, and other smaller scale projects (plumbing, etc.). Their work is top-notch and the crew is a pleasure to have around! They respected the character of our home from design through implementation, and shared expert recommendations that we may not have considered otherwise. It is refreshing to work with a full-service company who you know you can trust every step of the way.

Had a master bedroom suite added to my home. Workmanship was outstanding! They thought of everything to make it unique. They are detail oriented and knowledgeable. The new room flows perfectly with my home. From the outside it looks as if it was always there. ALL of the workers are dependable, courteous and professional craftsmen. I wanted a beachie feel - I got it! Wide planked hardwoods make me feel like I'm in the cape. I now have a high end master bedroom suite with 2 walkin closets (with special built in features for my scarfs and jewelry) and bathroom (all marble with heated floor - that was suggested; don't know how I lived without heated floors before!) My new suite belongs in a magazine! Thank you DeRisio Construction!

We had our entire house renovated. Great attention to detail. Courteous staff. All in one company. Derisio has their own painters, electricians, framers etc... they do it all! Highly recommend them!!!!

THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST EXPERIENCE, I'VE USED DERISIO CONSTRUCTION MANY TIMES ,RESIDING THE EXTERIOR , TOTAL REPLACEMENT THE ROOF ON OUR SUN ROOM, ALONG WITH TOTAL INTERIOR WORK,INCLUDING DRYWALL,ELECTRICALAND PAINTING. REMOVING A WALL SEPERATING THE KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM. ANOTHER PROJECT WAS RAISING THE FLOOR IN OUR SUNKEN LIVING ROOM, FOLLOWED BY A FULL KITCHEN REMODEL. EACH PROJECT WAS COMPLETED ON TIME OR EARLIER. COMMUICATION WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO DERISIO. WE WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH DERISIO'S PROFESSIONAL STAFF . AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY , THERE WAS A TOTAL CLEAN UP!! MY LAST PROJECT OCT. 2014 WAS MY DAUGHTERS KITCHEN,ON TIME, ON BUDGET.. GREAT JOB !!!
