Cynthia Wright and I worked together for many years on our family home in Kentfield. This year, when it came time for us to downsize, Cynthia was our first call. She help us with every detail of our new home. First we took an inventory of what we would be bringing with us and Cynthia helped us see what would fit and where it would be placed. Together we chose hardwood floor, tile, stone, pluming fixtures, paint colors and sconces. Next we designed cabinets to make this new house truly reflect us. We cannot say enough about the talent, professionalism and most pleasurable working relationship that we enjoyed in completing our project. Cynthia has done an amazing job of providing information and bringing new products into the mix while always keeping our style and budget top-of-mind. She has had a voice in lighting, room layout, practical elements of design, fixtures, appliances, etc.. Her input has always improved the outcome and has helped to make every decision easier. She is always honest and provides her opinion but respects our decisions and timetables. Our work together started in May of 2014 and we hope the project will be complete by early fall of 2015, so we are still working together. And I look forward to it. Cynthia is a good friend and a great talent. We have employed her as part of a team of architects to design a custom Tiburon home, and are using her for interior design in our East Bay home. She has a keen eye and understands our need for 'simple, yet elegant'.

A previous experience with C Wright Design prompted us to hire her firm for a second time to help us design our new, very contemporary, 4 bedroom San Francisco condominium. Our previous home was much larger and very much more traditional. We were stumped by the new style but we were ready for a change and Cynthia was up for the challenge. As with our previous home, Cynthia brought us exciting solutions to things that we could not figure out on our own. From thoughtful layouts to unexpected uses of small spaces, we watched the process unfold. Cabinets, rugs, art, furniture, window shades, lights, and accessories all work together to make this a reflection of us. She seamlessly intertwined our beloved existing things with primarily new pieces. We love our new home and are again thankful to Cynthia for her hard work and amazing talent. We would recommend her with highest marks based on every aspect of the two projects she has done for us.

We met Cynthia Wright and her team when we needed help with a complete remodel of our 4,000 square foot family home in the Seacliff area of San Francisco. She came highly recommended from multiple sources and our experience in working with her was exemplary. We bought the Seacliff house in 1981 when it was newly built, raised our family there, and have not changed a thing until now. It needed everything from new and updated exterior finishes to a completely new interior including floors, carpet, wall finishes, lighting, bathrooms, etc.. We were out of the country while the work was being done and came back to a complete transformation of our wonderful home. We could not be happier with our choice to work with Cynthia and her excellent team. They were great listeners, great designers, great communicators, and great expediters. Cynthia Wright and her group at C. Wright Design are the top of the field in both residential and commercial design. Cynthia provided the original interior design for our Mill Valley home and has directed two partial interior remodels. Her taste is impeccable and the spaces she designs are timeless — in function, color, furniture and fabrics. While our home is a wonderful family home where our children and their friends are comfortable, we also use it extensively for entertaining both friends and business clients. Cynthia’s designs allow our home to function perfectly for both uses. Cynthia also understand architectural issues and studies how people use spaces. This means, when possible, she works with the architects to make sure the interior spaces truly reflect how her client uses them and that they meet the individual needs of the client. Her designs are timeless in that they aren’t the latest fad that’s passé in a year or two. And she is unmatched in commercial interior design. She has designed the layout of our San Francisco advertising and public relations offices through several moves. The layouts are functional, the designs are fabulous and make a positive, creative statement to clients and other visitors about our agency as soon as they walk in the door. And Cynthia’s design expertise isn’t limited to the West Coast. She has done commercial design work in Manhattan for many years. In terms of working with Cynthia, she is a complete professional. She listens and observes. She asks questions to learn more about you and what you need and want. What is your dream for this house or office? She works with clients to fulfill their goals while providing the highest quality of design. She works to meet budget limitations. She explains timelines for ordering furniture or completing work so that you aren’t frustrated. She answers calls and questions. She follows up to make sure you are satisfied and, if problems exist, to solve them. And, she is fun and a delight to work with, as are the other members of her staff. We hired Cynthia to re-do the interior of our Berkeley house last July. We had specific design goals and at times felt constrained by our budget. Cynthia developed a wonderful space for us; I can't recommend her enough.

Cynthia Wright was the last of several designers we consulted on our extensive kitchen remodel. Within half an hour of being in the odd shaped space (whose formidable challenges had defeated others) she was able to rough sketch a layout that we knew would not only work but would have some striking elements as well. We could see that she had a clear vision and that her design skills were innovative. We hired her immediately. As Cynthia developed her ideas into detailed plans, she listened to our concerns and presented us with choices consistent with our budget, aesthetic, and must-have's. She has an extensive knowledge of materials to draw on, from wood and stains to counter tops to drawer pulls. She also has a network of reliable vendors which means you are in good hands should mistakes occur. (When one did, Cynthia fixed it at no additional cost to us.) As we moved into the construction process, Cynthia worked with our contractor and cabinet maker to assure that details were thought through and were right. On a personal note, Cynthia is so easy to work with. She is calm and organized and totally reliable. Most importantly, Cynthia genuinely wants the space that results from her work to reflect her client's personality. The bottom line: I adore my kitchen. It is beautiful and functional. We are now working together on the dining and living rooms.

My history with C. Wright Design and specifically Cynthia Wright, goes back over 26 years. It has been nothing but a pleasure the entire time. The 26 years began with the planning and design of our first Marin home. If not for Cynthia, I would have been overwhelmed. She eased the way to plan our home so that everything we purchased was not only beautiful but functional and practical. She saw the big picture and understood the impact a well designed new kitchen, bathroom, childrens’ wing, family room, living room, and more would have on a young family. She reflected our needs, our taste and our growing demands without missing a beat. It was as though she could read the future and made sure we did not waste time or money on poor decisions. Seven years later we purchased a house which was under construction! What could have been a nightmare was handled with grace and professionalism by Cynthia. The decisions and deadlines we faced seemed insurmountable but with Cynthia by our side we were able to finish designing the house of our dreams. Every detail was attended to as needed. Lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, window coverings, knobs, electric outlets, paint colors, not to mention furniture and furniture placement! We were in heaven. It was also remarkable to see her relationship to all the trades-people that have come through on all our different projects. From electricians to painters, major furniture companies to local shops, each individual has tremendous respect for her. They look forward to her presence and want to please her. She shows great skills and knowledge with each technician and they appreciate her smile, humor and input. We have been in this home for over 20 years now and every piece we purchased with Cynthia has been loved and timeless. It has been an ongoing process and such fun to work with Cynthia as our home and our family has evolved. All remodels in the house over these twenty years have been under the watchful eye of Cynthia and have turned out beautifully. It was as though she knew what we would need from the beginning. We were also lucky enough to buy a weekend home in Napa a few years ago. We needed an entirely different feel and look at this home. Cynthia was able to create this home by simply consulting with us. Using photos, drawings and wish lists, Cynthia was able to design our weekend home just as we imagined it to be… yet, in order to keep costs down, she did not visit the site once! Today, it would be even easier with the technology available. My relationship and work with Cynthia continues today. Currently we are working together to curate and simplify our empty nest. Her ideas are as fresh and perfect as they ever were. She truly knows the world of design. In summary, I highly recommend Cynthia Wright to anyone who wants working with an interior designer to be a joy. You will get a true reflection of who you are and not of the designer. Every decision, big and small, will be one that will bring you years of pleasure. Her talent is huge and you are lucky if you choose to bring her into your life while planning any size project.

Cynthia is amazing to work with. She is a real pro, with exquisite taste and years of design training and experience. She is also a lovely person -- warm, patient and understanding -- who is a treat to spend time with. We have a number of friends in our town who have worked with Cynthia over the years, and their houses are all stunning. So when we finally bought a new house, we knew who we would ask to help us. We just wish we'd brought her in earlier, as she had invaluable insights about the structural aspects of our remodel as well as the aesthetic.

We were very lucky to have Cynthia consult with us on the total renovation of our new home here in Vermont. Her creativity combined with impeccable taste and amazing technical skills made what could have been a complicated and costly process a lot less stressful for not only us but our contractor as well. While we have a way to go on this project the results are totally amazing.

I cannot say enough about Cynthia Wright. We live on Nantucket and our house is always full of guests. Cynthia helped us make our house really work and look beautiful for all who come to visit. The thing that made the biggest difference for me however, was the work we did together on our master bedroom. As you can imagine with so many guests, it often felt overwhelming and Cynthia insisted that this room be made into a haven where we can have privacy and space. She completely transformed this room! Suffice it to say, that working with Cynthia has changed my life.
