After considering several options, we chose Chris and his team as the firm to design our coastal cottage. Our original home was built in the 1940’s, complete with tons of “Ocean City charm.” As a renovation was not a viable option for us, a tear down was necessary. Our vision was to recreate the traditional Ocean City charm in a more functional cottage. Chris and his team kept our vision in mind in all aspects of design and the end product surely reflects that! Chris was a joy to work with and made the building process such a fun and rewarding one! I am confident anyone using Halliday will also agree! Thanks for everything Chris! Our porch is always open!

We went to Chris with our idea of tearing down our exisitng home and building from scratch. He listened. His attention to detail is second to none. I note this because when it came time to make selections it was already done in our design. The selection process was a breeze. We wantad a "Southern" feel and from moldng style, window style, door style, lighitng style, porch railing, etc. he had it all in the plans. The Halliday team had kitchen/bath design in the plans. Again completley designed in detail, including appliance and cabinet sizes. Their communication with us was great. Always pleasant and able to zig zag at a moments notice. Always available and willing for the "look what I found" I would like to make a change. Setbacks do occur on a job our size. Chris and his team made them invisble to us. We had a stresss free and fun project. The Halliday team was truly a pleasure to work with! We are over joyed with our home. Highly recommended!

From the moment we met with Chris Halliday we knew he would hit the nail on the head designing our home. He listened to our ideas and thoughts from the very beginning. Even the first concept was almost spot on to what we were looking to build. Chris made the whole process from designing to getting permits extremely easy. He is also an expert on all of the codes and zoning restrictions in Ocean City. We are so impressed with our plan and have already recommended Chris to our friends.

Chris and Shannon are consummate professionals. From our first meeting, we knew we landed in the right spot. They have a modern approach with the perfect mix of creativity and practicality. They incorporated our wish list, our feedback and kept the project moving within the target time frame. Chris also did a fantastic job of referring builders who matched both the project and our personalities, and has actively (and proactively) helped us every step of the way. They are enthusiastic, thoughtful and flexible -- we loved working with them and can't wait to host them when the house is done!

Chris and his team were a delight to work with - very professional, responsive and timely. Chris designed two modest beach houses for us in Cape May, and both have surpassed our expectations. He incorporated our wish list into a smallish square footage in such a tasteful way. And he brought in architectural details that weren’t obvious to us in the plans, but that really make the houses stand out as custom homes. That’s what you pay an architect for and Chris delivered! Chris was also such a calming and steady teammate as we navigated the arduous planning and permitting process. I’m not sure we would have been successful without him.

Chris and colleagues were a pleasure to work with last year. Chris took the time to listen carefully to understand our vision for this home, and our life style preferences. His team worked closely with engineers to ensure that we wouldn’t experience any adverse issues with local and environmental ordinances. The entire process was reasonably paced and overall a stress free experience. He kept us informed, gave great practical recommendations to keep us within our budget.

Chris Halliday redesigned my entire house in Longport. Is is absolutely spectacular. Chris designed and oversaw every detail and we are incredibly happy with result. Chris is talented, always available and a real pleasure to work with. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Mark Fishman

We've just moved back into our completely renovated home in Ocean City, and we are awed by the transformation Chris and Rebecca have achieved. They listened to our ideas, respected our preferences, and gave us a stunning new home. Their design aesthetic and architectural detailing are outstanding. We had a great experience with Shannon and Chris Halliday. Our builder recommended them to design our new house in Avalon, NJ. Everything went smoothly and our house came out fabulous ! They are professional, knowledgeable, on time with deadlines and very nice people. Chris, Rebecca and their team did an awesome job on our 2nd home at the beach. Their attention to details and the little things made for no big problems at all. every time I called or had a question, they had the answer. We are now into our home and are LOVING it!.
