I recently had the pleasure of working with Black and Milk on an interior architecture project to refurbish my newly acquired house, and I am delighted to share my positive experience. The house I purchased was in relatively poor condition, and I needed a complete overhaul to turn it into a cosy home. I live on my own and this is also my first time renovating a place, and B&M team has certainly made the process much easier. What I appreciate the most is their care and commitment to the design - you can really feel that they take pride in their work while at the same time is always willing to collaborate on different ideas. Not having any experience with renovation before, it was quite difficult for me to understand fully the proposed design and budget, and I did feel I had to take a bit of a leap of faith and trust that what they recommend. I do feel that there might be more than can be done in this regard to give me a clearer idea on what I was investing on, particularly since it's also a big investment. But at the same time, I realise that this can also be difficult and at the end of the day, I am really happy with the end result and would definitely use B&M's service again.

Black and Milk have worked to an exceptional level on our Barbican apartment. The design work of Olga and Amnah has been inspirational. Our brief was to provide an interior which was clean-looking and modern whilst at the same time being supremely comfortable, sumptuous, and luxurious. We also wanted to pay respect to the mid-century feel of The Barbican. ‘Modern’ and ‘sumptuous’ are two elements that are not easily combined but what drew us to Black and Milk was hearing Olga and Amnah talk about creating for us an interior that exudes a feeling of warmth and luxury and doing so whilst maintaining the clean simple lines of modern design. We have been very impressed by their ideas and the execution of their ideas through the meticulous sourcing of things such as furniture and joinery experts. Anatoly at Black and Milk has taken care of all the implementation and employed an excellent building contractor to manage all of the works, which means that the experience has been stress-free. The whole team at Black and Milk are lovely people who we are really enjoying working with. The professionalism of Black and Milk is second to none and we can whole-heartedly recommend them.

B&M have been excellent throughout my project, from the initial consultation, through to the style quiz and design presentations. Always on hand with plenty of patience for my many questions and queries and changes of mind! As with any complex design project, there are invariably some hiccups such as furniture delays, fabrics discontinued, but the Black and Milk team came up with strong suggestions and practical solutions. My project came off the end of a pandemic, with global supply-chain delays but the team handled this so well given aspects were outside of their control. It is a reflection of the robust structure and team they have in place as well the use of reliable third parties such as the builders, window treatment/ curtain guys and joinery suppliers. My project was within budget and I am very happy with the result. Thank you.

We really get the feeling that they are as invested and excited about designing and furnishing our home as we were, whilst maintaining respect and staying loyal to our initial ideas and concepts. Olga and Anatoly are the dream team! We chose Black and Milk for a near-complete refurbishment of our house. As decoration of such scale can be a really daunting job, we are really satisfied with their work. Olga led the design team with great willingness to understand our personal tastes, they pay attention to all the details even though sometimes we were cluelessly throwing out ideas. The moodboards, decor options and the quality of the materials chosen were all excellent. Toly is absolutely the best project manager that I have met and worked with by far. Black and Milk helped me design and refurbish my new London apartment. The project was not a simple one, as I have a specific taste and high requirements regarding acoustics. However, Olga and Toly were a marvelous team, they took the time to listen and understand my needs before coming up with a design that brought my dreams into reality. The project, as all renovation projects do, ran slightly over budget. But we planned for the unexpected from the beginning and when a neighbor had a sudden water leak that flooded my acoustic floor treatment we managed to pull through with only a slight delay. Black & Milk have elegantly transformed our home, in stages, for two years and counting. We rely on Olga's experience and creative talent to achieve a difficult balance: making an architecturally modern house feel warm, comfortable, and "lived-in." She has achieved this so well that we recommend her to anyone who compliments our home decor - and there are many compliments! Many of the comments we hear are - quite rightly - that the house has different moods and color schemes on different floors, that are individually distinct but all work together in an inspired harmony. The team's creative flair is matched by project management. Costings and bills are presented professionally. The network of service people they rely on are first-class. If you're wallpapering a room or redoing a bathroom, have it done by the people Olga and Anatoly recommend! As a client, I especially appreciate how Olga's design sensibility is flexible around budgets. In every phase of our project from living room to bedrooms to bathrooms, we were presented with options in the budget, budget+, and Really Going For It brackets of price (and fame of the brand). No one tier was presented as the Right or only option. Rather, there's an easy flexibility around mixing and matching the high-end and the normal. It's the sort of talent that professional stylists show when they're matching expensive shoes with an ordinary t-shirt, which requires more thought than dressing someone head to toe in Prada. I had the pleasure of working with Black and Milk as a freelance interior designer on a couple of beautiful projects. I hired Black & Milk because I knew their speciality was designing for new build flats and other smaller spaces - in this case a 1,300 square foot white box in Hammersmith. What I loved about working with them wasn't just their passion and vision, but that they really embraced how I wanted to use the space and what would work best for my family. Olga and Anatoly work directly with furniture makers so many of the pieces in this project are custom, designed specifically for the smaller proportions of city living. We were not easy clients. But I couldn't be more pleased with the result and I'm so grateful to have gotten a chance to work with them.

I found Anatoly and Olga superb to work with. They have great taste, are pragmatic and not pushy - happy to customise the plan to meet clients' most immediate needs. On the creative side, Olga has been invaluable in helping us design and come up with a look and feel for our new apartment – very modern without being “luxury hotel-commercial”. Her eye for detail, scale and proportion is also impeccable. In fact, my wife and I would go so far as to say she is more demanding on getting things right for our apartment than we are! She would also suggest ideas and products that we otherwise would never have considered which was great and paid huge dividends to the final look of our apartment! Anatoly, on the other hand, micro-managed the entire implementation of our project efficiently and always with complete transparency – he basically handled all the nitty gritty details that we all dread (especially given that we are based overseas) and followed the project through in terms of timing and budgeting. He even went so far as to get our apartment ready with temporary furniture during our visits to London whilst the apartment was still a work in progress! It was such a pleasure working with Olga! She respected my traditional taste and gently persuaded me to combine a few modern pieces with some of the antique furniture which I already had, and to part company with a couple of items which simply didn’t work in the room. The result looks much more contemporary but I feel it reflects my taste and personality. I used Black & Milk to provide interior design services for my new build apartment in Shoreditch and I could not be more happy with services they have provided. Olga's design process is extremely impressive, using state of the are CAD drawings, mood boards and various other visualisation techniques along the way. Even for someone like myself who is a tad lacking when it comes to the creative, I was able to get a very good feel of what apartment would look like prior to any of the furniture or joinery arriving. In addition, I must say Olga's eye for detail is amazing. She has listened very carefully to my wishes and executed a design far beyond my expectations. Her team took care of all aspects of design, placing orders, handling delivery and any snagging issues that may have arisen. She was also incredibly patient throughout the entire process and even did a complete redesign for me at no further cost when I changed my mind about my initial. It's been a real pleasure working with Olga. She is personable, efficient, incredibly creative and really good fun to be around. I will not hesitate to use Black & Milk again for my next residence. Though with the job they have done on this place I'm not sure I will want to move anytime soon!

I used Black and Milk sourcing service to furnish our for-bed flat in St Johns Wood. I’m an interior design enthusiast and knew what I wanted to buy but didn’t have the time. I was introduced to Olga through my personal connections. She gave me access to her suppliers and helped me to select furniture and matching fabrics so it forms a cohesive interior with pieces I already had. Her team took care of invoicing, ordering and logistics. Very happy with the service and my new interior.

Olga was a fantastic talent in helping us source the right furniture for our newly expanded home. We built a basement and we wanted a "loft" feel. Olga came up with a great seating arrangements there, sourcing a fabulously comfortable, modern and interesting sofa and table/pouf that had a dual function. This was useful considering the limited space. She also sourced chic lighting for our main lounge and dining area and it matched pics we had showed her. Based on the success, good pricing and timeliness of the initial order, we solicited Olga for our new guest bedroom which she furnished in perfect style. It was a pleasure working with her and the firm.

We worked with Olga on her project in Fleet Street. The apartment was small but Olga had the vision to transfer the property into a beautiful studio flat making use of every square inch of space. The end result was a very high end well proportioned flat in a very central location. We would highly recommend Black and Milk to future clients.

Olga Alexeeva of Black&Milk Residential came to our flat to discuss building a side return and other renovations. She was smart and creative -- listening to our wishes and still managing to propose changes we hadn't considered but which make enormous sense. She was polite and efficient and quickly produced a number of sketches of possibilities that would transform the flat. She was also realistic in taking into account our budget and not pressing for more extensive renovations that we could not afford? Althouugh she was unable to project manage our renovations due to prior commitments, she provided us with contact information for a builder she had used and recommended.

Olga is a brilliant interior designer with a good sense of making the most use of space. Her design skills are excellent. Although there were difficulties with the builders and kitchen delivery the end result was pleasing. Olga's sense of space and colour matching are inspiring.

Olga was really great to work with. The project Olga hired us for was a small flat, and a lot of cabinetry needed to fit into a small space! We provided the kitchen and the built-in wardrobe with enclosed desk area. As an Interior designer, Olga has a great eye for detail and colour. She created a stunning colour pallet to work on and luckily for us we were able to provide exactly what she wanted. I feel however that Olga really excels when it comes to spacial planning of a room, she was able to create a luxurious and comfortable flat with the smallest of foot prints. Designing with her was a pleasure, and it was incredible to see how every revision of the floor plan leaded to having more and more space to fit all that was needed for the kitchen and wardrobe.

I worked with Black and Milk on a refurbishment project and found the whole experience really easy. Olga's approach to her work is not just about being professional, she has a very creative mindset and is able to visualise exactly what the space / client needs and is looking for. We worked with a limited space to help rebuild the city studio apartment but the results as you can see are fantastic. Very functional and well-designed studio: smart use of space with plenty of storage. Living area is pleasant, with a large sofa, comfortable working space and an additional compact table that could extend to a 2m dining table. The murphy bed above the sofa is easy to use, large and very cosy. When lying in bed watching the large flat screen TV on the opposite wall, you feel like you are in a pretty and serene hotel room Bathroom is a very good size, clean and new. The kitchen is fully equipped and very bright, featuring a sliding door that could be closed when cooking A very tastefully decorated studio which makes truly impressive use of space: comfortable, functional and pleasant to spend time in. And very importantly, wonderful landlords who responded to my every need in no time. Thank you!
