BKC Kitchen and Bath

Overall rating for BKC = "F" - "Designer" (Gavy) = "F-" - Resolving our huge list of issues/problems (Gavy, Heather, Paul) = "D-" - Showroom = "C+" - Installer/repairs (Brian, John) = "B" - Delivery = "C" We engaged BKC primarily because they represented the line/manufacturer of the cabinets we wanted for our complete kitchen remodel (Eclipse). We were assigned a designer, Gavy, to create a rather simple cabinet layout design for our pretty straight-forward kitchen. Most new cabinetry was nearly the same or very similar to our existing layout. But Gavy got many things wrong from the first iteration (for example, we all discussed and agreed in our initial meeting that we'd add a small island to our kitchen, that we all accepted the minimal clearances, and that we all agreed adding a peninsula of any kind would not work; the first layout design had a peninsula!). We found Gavy to have limited or no knowledge of design principles to help guide aesthetic decisions, and we ended up specifying our own details for what to include in the layout design and details for the cabinetry choices. Gavy proved to be a salesperson with some training on the layout cad software rather than an actual “designer”. We chose our own installer, mainly because after our cabinets were ordered, we had lost trust in BKC. During installation, several serious layout design errors were found and we began multiple rounds of getting BKC to correct these problems, leaving us with a partially-completed kitchen for months. Errors included lack of needed clearance for the built-in freezer/fridge unit and the adjacent microwave handle - the handle would have hit/dented the fridge door upon opening. Other cabinet bases were simply ordered incorrectly (some were also incorrectly manufactured by Eclipse). BKC did finally accept some responsibility for their errors as did (apparently) the cabinet manufacturer. This required endless emails and conference calls, culminating with working through all problems with the CEO/person in charge. Solutions took multiple rounds of ordering cabinet replacements (including entire cabinet boxes worth thousands), multiple installation sessions and overall delays of several months. BKC did work with us through the bitter end of getting almost everything acceptably done. It was painful. It was extremely frustrating and disruptive. It was extremely disappointing. After spending around $50k, we would never recommend BKC for anything, ever, to anyone.

From my first visit to the showroom through the end of the process, my experience with BKC was impressive. The designer I worked with, Jennie, was very easy to work with. She was happy to provide as much input as I asked for. I felt no sales-y pressure which I very much appreciate. They were able to store my cabinets until my contractor was ready to install. Brian the quality control/inspector was awesome. He looked at everything so closely and found the tiniest of imperfections that I frankly may have never noticed. BKC replaced any pieces that he deemed as imperfect. I ended up buying slim shaker David Bradley cabinets and I love them! These cabinets, together w BKC's professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction, I am a very happy customer!

We put off renovating the kitchen in our cozy 1926 bungalow for as long as possible, knowing how long and disruptive the process has been to the households of our friends and neighbors. We were pleasantly surprised that it ended up being so much quicker and smoother than we anticipated, thanks to the guidance and expertise of Jennie Showers and the team at BKC! Jennie timed everything out perfectly and knew how to make the most of our unique layout; in addition to gaining much more storage and counter space, everything is more beautiful than we could’ve expected. Had we known, we may have done this years ago! Huge thanks to Jennie and BKC!

Working with Peter at BKC has been a great experience. Renovating a kitchen is a big project and expense, and having professionals with years of experience makes a big difference. Peter was able to work with my space, my budget and my changes (a lot of those!) to help transform my kitchen into a great family space that will be enjoyed for years. Now that I'm seeing the kitchen in real life, it's better than what I had hoped!

My cabinet designer, Melissa, and her team at BKC Kitchen and Bath are my go-to for residential cabinetry. My clients always have a wonderful time when we meet with Melissa to select cabinets at their beautiful showroom. Melissa is personable, professional, and extremely detail-oriented. We worked with Peter at BKC on a large home remodel that included a full kitchen remodel as well as additional cabinetry for our house including a mudroom, dining room built-ins, a very large desk with bookcases, a laundry room and a master suite vanity. It was a large project and quite overwhelming but Peter did a wonderful job designing all of the spaces. Peter was really fun to work with and very detail oriented. I was told by others to expect errors on such a large job but everything went very smoothly and we had no issues. The installer (Danny) was fast, and efficient and did excellent work. Peter also worked very well with our architect and general contractor and I believe they will be using BKC and Peter for future work. We absolutely love our kitchen. Peter did a wonderful job making sure everything flows really well between the nook, the island and the perimeter cabinetry. I would highly recommend!

I didn't think it was possible to get more storage in our tiny 1949 kitchen, but Peter worked his magic and created a beautiful kitchen with plenty of space. The whole team at BKC was a pleasure to work with. Any issues or concerns were addressed quickly and the whole process was simple. Thanks Peter!

We remodeled our kitchen, and two bathrooms recently. We had a very good experience with BKC Kitchen and Bath. Jennifer Rogers was the designer for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. She was a pleasure to work with. Jennifer was very helpful with choosing the right style, and color of our cabinets and offered us a design which fit into our budget. The contractors who installed the cabinets also advised that Jennifer was very responsive when they had questions or needed feedback on the arrival of some of the cabinet doors/panels. The kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities are very good quality and soft closing. We had a kitchen that was built in the 80's; now we have a new transitional-style kitchen. It's definitely my dream kitchen! Thank you BKC Team!

My husband and I have used BKC for 3 different homes in the past and recently used them again for a 4th time, which should speak for itself! With our recent remodel project we had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Rogers. Jennifer is definitely on top of her game! Her expertise and knowledge in kitchen design shines through with careful attention to all details! She was easy to communicate with and very helpful in all aspects from the design through the install! Together we designed a kitchen, laundry, master bath, dining room built-in and several other bathrooms. We used Crystal Cabinetry for a major portion of the home, which we have used 3 other times and their quality is always outstanding! We also used David Bradley Cabinetry, for the first time, in other areas of the home and are very pleased with their workmanship as well! All we can say is great job as always BKC and Jennifer you are a wonder! We would definitely recommend both BKC and Jennifer to anyone considering new cabinetry!

The BKC cabinet designer Gavy Sipion helped me find and understand what I wanted at BKC and followed through to a great installation. She was always professional, but also pleasant about my requests. I am pleased with the overall outcome from what was a difficult kitchen remodeling situation.

I had a great experience with BKC Kitchen and Bath. The sales person working with me was very helpful and knowledgeable. She always responded quickly if I had any questions and when I needed to modify the order after it was placed. The company has several quality cabinet manufacturers to choose from with many choices of styles and colors. I ordered two bathroom vanities that needed modifications which were done perfectly to meet my needs. I would recommend this company.
