There is NOONE else I would have help me with any renovation or architectural project. He has held my hand through multiple renovations and design projects. He is the calming voice in can be a very hectic and chaotic process. His taste is Impeccable ! He is organized and will make an idea come to life! I couldn't recommend a more amazing person to work with.

I hired Richard in May of 2015 to help me draw up plans and facilitate a gut renovation of my two-bedroom, two-bathroom pre-war Brooklyn co-op that hadn't been updated since the 1970s. Needless to say, it was a big overhaul, with major focus on customization in the kitchen and bathrooms. Once we got started, however, we discovered a serious structural issue with the building. What would follow is a tale of renovation drama -- and I wouldn't have been able to get through it without Richard. What was supposed to be a 3-month project stretched into a year-and-a-half due to unforeseen circumstances with my building completely out of our control. He was not only available to talk very often (and we were communicating a lot due to complex building requirements) but handled unimaginable stress very well. As we faced incredible obstacles with getting what I wanted achieved, Richard was always on my side throughout this, whether we were dealing with an issue with my co-op or the contractor. Not only was he able to handle me, an arguably micromanaging-type who had very clear ideas in mind, but he was able to deliver on the vision we developed together at a great value. I had a certain amount of money to spend but a lot of customizing and unique things I wanted to do -- he knew the right contractor and subcontractors that could help bring those ideas to life. He also handled it well when I wanted to make last-minute additions or changes. Richard is extremely organized with paperwork and great at sharing floor plans, designs, purchases, and financials. He is very knowledgeable in what could come up in an older building like mine, noting vulnerabilities in the structure. He knew the best color for walls to create the desired vibe I wanted, knew the best way to spruce up the moldings, in the end producing the pre-war apartment with modern accents I had in mind. I couldn't be more happy with the results. When looking through the photos of my apartment, please note the incredible detail, right down to the heating grates. Richard has an attention to detail that made a huge difference in how this project came together. He also is a great designer -- the tile pattern in the master bathroom and on the floor of the smaller bathroom are his, and he helped decide the best space to create a view into the kitchen from the living room. And because I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, he recommended great artisans who could customize cabinets and tiles for a fraction of what it would normally cost. In the end I came out with an amazing apartment with a significantly increased market value as well as a great friend! :) I couldn't recommend a better designer, architect, and renovation war hero for any job, big or small.

Richard is not only an exceptional architect, he's a terrific interior designer. He redid our entire home--a gut renovation--and was there from start to finish. He knocked down walls, redid entire rooms, and when he was done, helped choose paint colors, furniture, even art! I can't recommend him highly enough as an architect, or as a designer. A terrific experience.

Richard turned out 150-year-old Brooklyn townhouse into the perfect home. In helping us realize our dream house, he came up with wonderfully creative ideas to solve every issue that arose--and he was a pleasure to work with. We could not be happier.
