As a residential builder, I have had the opportunity to work with several different architectural firms. Without exception, ASA is lightyears above anyone else. They are extremely creative in the initial design and work well within reasonable budgets. When unknown conditions arise on site (like any construction project) they respond expeditiously with whatever the client and/or builder needs to resolve the situation. When it came time to remodel my own house, there was no hesitation in engaging Abby and her team for a very extensive full house remodel with an added 2 story addition. We have since engaged her for other smaller projects on our house (such as an exterior facelift). Without reservation I can fully endorse and recommend Abby and her team for any remodeling or new construction project.

We have hired other Architects for our previous houses and have a good perspective of what to expect. While our previous Architect was very good and was recommended to us by a very reputable builder, what was produced was a great set of renderings and options, but that was it. While that might seem to be the expected outcome, working with Abby Schwartz redefined what I would expect from that experience. Their belief is in providing comprehensive approach to integrated architecture and design, which was exactly what we needed. If we just hired an architect that provided just drawings, we would still be sitting in the same house without any improvements. Abby met with us to review her approach to architecture and what to expect when working with her (When I write Abby, I speak collectively of the great people that we have worked with in her firm to help us realize our goals. Amina, Lily, Jennifer, Colleen, and Rick, just to mention a few.). We reviewed her portfolio and a very comprehensive contract and felt that the fit would be right to take us to the next steps. The house was measured for as-is dimensions and within a few weeks we had 9 concepts. We narrowed in on a few designs and elevations and from there settled on one that would work for us. The next several steps are what made our plans come together, which we did not have the option with other Architecture firms. Note that all of the below is optional in their contract. They included: •Recommended builders that would fit into our project parameters •Recommended a cabinet maker (scheduled our visits) and accompanied is us to help us with styles, colors, textures •Recommended marble and granite providers and helped us with countertop materials that would work with the cabinets in the kitchen and bath. •Went with us several times to the tile design showroom (scheduled our visits) to put together a comprehensive selection of tiles, flooring, backsplashes, trims, etc. that worked together with comprehensive design coordinating our cabinet and countertop choices. •Went with us several times to the kitchen and bath showroom (scheduled our visits) to help us select all the faucets, shower parts, sinks, toilets, pulls, knobs, lighting, and escutcheons. The above visits and selections were brought together into a set of construction plans and vendor estimates that we could take to the builders to get their estimates. Our builder was extremely impressed with the completeness of our plans so they could provide an accurate estimate of the work to be completed. This compliment passes through to Abby and what her firm accomplished WITH us. For people like us, that know what we want but need professional help completing the package, Abby Schwartz is a firm that we highly recommend. Note: they are really FUN team to work with. As an aside, we hired them again to do some design work in our eating area to complete and compliment our new kitchen. Many of the references that we contacted had done the same and used Abby for additional projects.

From the very first meeting until the walk through roughly one year after our very first meeting, Abby Schwartz and her team provided the most comprehensive and professional service that anyone could desire. She was honest, thorough, enthusiastic and obviously among the best in the region. Her entire team guided us through a very complex 5 month project of renovation. Our home truly has a wow factor. She supplied us with many possible contractors to do the work and clearly each was most competent. We were accompanied to each of our trips to purchase tile, lighting, flooring, and cabinetry. the work performed was A+++ and it was nice to know that Abby and her company always had our backs. We will add the pictures of our home in the future. We would recommend Abby Schwartz Associates to ANYONE who is performing renovations big or small. These people are well trained and incredibly easy to interact with. Recommending this company is a no brainer and the reputation of Abby Schwartz Associates is well deserved.

Abby and her entire team at ASA are fantastic. We gutted and restored a 200 year old barn, and it was ASA's vision that turned a run down barn into our forever home. We interviewed multiple architects, but were floored with ASA's thorough and professional estimate, interview and vision for our home. They thought of everything--especially the things we didn't consider and made the process easy. They listened to our lofty ideas and found a way to make them into our reality. Abby and her team work wonders. Architecture and design inform each other to give a wholistic approach to each project. From initial design, through working with contractors, selection of materials, to the final punch list, Abby makes the project flow. We could not be more pleased with the results.

We hired Abby when our project stalled. We were adding an addition to our kitchen and the new addition had a much higher ceiling. It was supposed to be simple, but when the frame was built and the wall of the house taken out, we realized it didn't make sense and we couldn't figure out how to make it work. Abby came in and could see what we couldn't. She listened to our concerns and our hopes and then was able to come up with a wonderful solution. In addition, she is terrific to work with...she really listens and cares about her clients. My husband and I still often look around our kitchen and say "Thank God for Abby!".

Provided architectural plans and design tips for a major kitchen and master bathroom renovation in our new house. Due to strange initial configurations and too many windows (who knew that was possible?) it was not obvious to us how to change things to make it all work. They took extra time with us to determine our style and would meet with us on the weekends to go over plans (we could not meet during the week due to our job commitments ). We are extremely pleased with the results.
