Greg was an absolute delight to work with. He helped us create our dream house and made it even better than our wildest imagination. He is a visionary and one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever worked with.

2Scale Architects, architect Greg Swedberg, provided the combination of form, function and esthetic design to our comfortable contemporary home. He took into account the way we live and we now enjoy the use of all the areas of our home . He blended fresh ideas with timeless architectural features that show beautiful quality upon execution by the builder. He is a wonderful person to work with and made building a house a very positive and exciting experience . Anytime I am out in the yard at least one person stops to ask who designed our home and tell us it is their favorite home in our neighborhood and I could not be more excited to refer them to 2 Scale Architects because I know they will have a wonderful experience !

We interviewed three architects. Greg was the only one that asked us about our lifestyle, how we used our home. I knew right away he was the architect for us. It was an incredible process watching our ideas come alive. He understood our dream and how to make it a reality. Greg designed a beautiful house that flows well, no detail was too small. Not only is he a brilliant architect, Greg is also extremely professional, courteous and has a great sense of humor. We truly enjoyed working with him.

I have had the pleasure of working with Greg on a couple of projects. Greg has a keen sense of design mixed with a great attention to detail. His support throughout the project is helpful he can envision the end result with clarity. He has been available to answer questions or solve issues when needed.

The principal of 2Scale Architects joined a business group that I have been in for years. As an interior designer, I was pleased to have an architectural firm join the fold. He passed me some referrals and invited me to review several projects and I knew we had found a gem. The homes styles are diverse, as is the client base and 2Scale hit a home run every time. In less than a year, Greg and I worked together on a fun new construction house for a young family with modern taste, as well as a large, sprawling country home in a ranch-like setting. Recently, when I needed an architect, there was no question in my mind. We hired Greg. Designing my personal home has been a wonderful project and I not only highly recommend Greg, I expect to work with him for years to come.

Greg made the process easy! From start to finish he worked in a 3 step process and broke down the schedule for us! We started from scratch on a new construction when I handed over my chicken scratch- hand drawn "plans." He listened to exactly what we needed with patience without ever making us feel like we were newbies! His initial consultation laid out the process, our specific needs, and the costs- which we found very reasonable/comparable! There were no surprises, and he made himself available in person on site to check the progress at designated times throughout the build. These perks were outlined in our initial agreement. He is detail oriented and took the time to point out any aspects he thought would improve our plans, and was very available to us in person, by phone, and email to hash out the many versions a big project takes. He was very careful to interpret the Deed Restrictions in our area (Oak Forest), and make sure the house was compliant in every way. Since we worked with him over the holidays, the process did take longer than we had hoped, but I highly recommend his work and would use him again!

I have worked with 2scale Architects on both commercial building and the building of my personal home. Each time went very smoothly. The fluidity of both experiences was due to the fact that the owner Greg is very knowledgable of building codes, and extremely detail oriented. He was also able to suggest unique design ideas due to his creative abilities. I have since recommend 2scale to several personal friends and they too have had a great experience.

We chose to work with Greg based on his portfolio. After our first meeting he came back with a drawing that was just the look we were wanting. He listened to our wants and requests and did an excellent job communicating with us. His attention to detail is impressive and I highly recommend 2Scale Architects to anyone. Top notch work and speedy turnaround. We began working with Greg in October 2012 and watched our dreams come to life and we moved into our new home April 2014.

2Scale designed our home in the Houston Heights. It has been 6 years, and we still appreciate the incredible attention to detail, the innovative application of materials, and the thoughtful approaches to otherwise mundane features like a staircase. They were great to work with, listened carefully and kept things within budget.
