A boho kitchen with a "modern retro" vibe in the heart of Austin! We painted the lower cabinets in Benjamin Moore's BM 706 "Cedar Mountains", and the walls in BM OC-145 "Atrium White". The minimal open shelving keeps this space feeling open and fresh, and the wood beams and Scandinavian chairs bring in the right amount of warmth!

Light and airy kitchen and great room renovation, with new "drop zone" for coats and shoes, vaulted ceilings, and plenty of space for greenery. This project was done on budget and on time, and the difference in space for the clients was tremendous. We used all GE Cafe Line Appliances in matte white with brass hardware. The cabinets are custom, and the pulls are Restoration Hardware in the Dover line.

Feature In: Visit Miami Beach Magazine & Island Living A nice young couple contacted us from Brazil to decorate their newly acquired apartment. We schedule a meeting through Skype and from the very first moment we had a very good feeling this was going to be a nice project and people to work with. We exchanged some ideas, comments, images and we explained to them how we were used to worked with clients overseas and how important was to keep communication opened. They main concerned was to find a solution for a giant structure leaning column in the main room, as well as how to make the kitchen, dining and living room work together in one considerably small space with few dimensions. Whether it was a holiday home or a place to rent occasionally, the requirements were simple, Scandinavian style, accent colors and low investment, and so we did it. Once the proposal was signed, we got down to work and in two months the apartment was ready to welcome them with nice scented candles, flowers and delicious Mojitos from their spectacular view at the 41th floor of one of Miami's most modern and tallest building. The goal for the kitchen renovation was to enhance its layout for optimal use, while also creating visual height, & an airier, fresh & minimal aesthetic. ​ We extended the kitchen layout under the stairway, incorporated lighter finishes at the upper cabinetry to increase visual height, added in custom details like a shoe pantry & additional refrigerator drawer, & included a pool table that doubled as a dining table when not in use. The finished product was an airy, bright & minimal kitchen that is perfect for entertaining & day to day use.

By not having any upper cabinets, the space feels less crowded and bigger, as if it belongs to a larger home. The few cabinets in the kitchen are efficiently utilized, but we had to compensate for storage elsewhere. We have designed a custom hutch for Michelle that serves multiple purposes. It not only provides storage for overstock from the kitchen but also acts as a hub for her electronics, paperwork, printer, filing drawer, and craft supplies. The kitchen is influenced by Scandinavian design, featuring playful shades of pink on the walls, the floating shelf, and the vintage spice cubby (coral). Timeless black and white accents throughout the space complement the pink accents in a subtle way.
