This property was completely gutted and redesigned into a single family townhouse. After completing the construction of the house I staged the furniture, lighting and decor. Staging is a new service that my design studio is now offering.

Super White Grabill custom kitchen cabinetry graces the perimeter of the room and is offset by a rich chocolate stained island. Cafe Latte Quartzite countertops were chosen to compliment the two-toned cabinetry. Two hammered pewter sinks and a custom metal and wood hood add a nice touch of sparkle. The tall refrigerator and freezer doors were paneled in wood with a curved leaded patterned antique mirrors to reflect the day as it goes by.

One of three projects within a converted factory building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The original structure, dating from 1911, has an oak post and beam frame with a brick exterior. Each apartment has a different relationship with the structural grid, often creating challenges and opportunities at the same time. The Wade Apartment required a complete remodeling of the kitchen, the addition of a second bedroom and new closets in two other spaces. The new kitchen pivots around a central oak column that was exposed in opening the space to the living room. A floating ceiling defines the kitchen space, while reaching out into the apartment. Finishes are kept to a crisp palette of whites, with Carrara marble counters and a natural finish for the oak column and flooring. www.archphoto.com

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space. --- Project designed by the Atomic Ranch featured modern designers at Breathe Design Studio. The kitchen serves the gourmet needs of the owners, who are wonderful cooks. The white quartz countertops keep the kitchen clean, and the small AGA stove is all they need for their elaborate meals. The Newbury Midnight is a gorgeously dark kitchen that will add a touch of drama to any home. The slab-in-frame door feels contemporary yet weighty, whereas the seashell hood adds an interesting focal point to the room. Here, the Newbury Midnight has been paired with the Newbury Duck Egg to add an unusual contrast that would fit right in with a modern home.

Our client had been living in her beautiful lakeside retreat for about 3 years. All around were stunning views of the lake and mountains, but the view from inside was minimal. It felt dark and closed off from the gorgeous waterfront mere feet away. She desired a bigger kitchen, natural light, and a contemporary look. Referred to JRP by a subcontractor our client walked into the showroom one day, took one look at the modern kitchen in our design center, and was inspired! After talking about the frustrations of dark spaces and limitations when entertaining groups of friends, the homeowner and the JRP design team emerged with a new vision. Two walls between the living room and kitchen would be eliminated and structural revisions were needed for a common wall shared a wall with a neighbor. With the wall removals and the addition of multiple slider doors, the main level now has an open layout. Everything in the home went from dark to luminous as sunlight could now bounce off white walls to illuminate both spaces. Our aim was to create a beautiful modern kitchen which fused the necessities of a functional space with the elegant form of the contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen playfully mixes frameless white upper with horizontal grain oak lower cabinets and a fun diagonal white tile backsplash. Gorgeous grey Cambria quartz with white veining meets them both in the middle. The large island with integrated barstool area makes it functional and a great entertaining space. The master bedroom received a mini facelift as well. White never fails to give your bedroom a timeless look. The beautiful, bright marble shower shows what's possible when mixing tile shape, size, and color. The marble mosaic tiles in the shower pan are especially bold paired with black matte plumbing fixtures and gives the shower a striking visual.
