Abby and Abbey were absolutely fantastic to work with. We re-modeled our downstairs bathroom, bar area and kitchen dining space, along with updating our flooring and front hall stairway. After an initial consultation, Abby and Abbey very quickly understood our taste and came up with a design plan that we loved. They were timely, responsive to our questions and on-budget. We are extremely happy with the finished product and highly recommend Smith and Ragsdale to prospective clients.

My husband and I hired Smith & Ragsdale to design our kitchen for our new home. They nailed the kitchen plan and we then decided to hire them to design our bar, butler’s pantry, and outdoor kitchen. We quickly figured out that we needed to hire them for the interiors for the entire house. We have built homes previously and we have had great experiences, but nothing compares to their talent and professionalism. They are very knowledgeable about construction; they know what can and cannot be accomplished, they know how to work with subs (who all loved them), and they know how to create beautiful spaces that function. I described to them in a short email what we wanted for our home. They made selections for the entire house (this was accomplished in a few weeks). We loved every selection they made. I cried tears of joy after the meeting; they were the third design team we had hired. I told my husband, “someone finally listened”. I could go on and on, but here are the key points: they saved our house, they made it fun, they did it all: lighting design, cabinets, interior and exterior selections, closet planning, furniture, accessories. I have referred them to many friends who all feel I have done them the biggest favor because I told them about Smith & Ragsdale.

Smith & Ragsdale exceeded our expectations on a number of fronts. Their creative design was impressive. They initially presented some tile to us which we thought might not work. However, we took the risk and we were glad we did. The tile is first thing on which folks comment! In addition, Smith & Ragsdale was responsive, supportive, communicative, and worked very closely with the contractors. Their attention to design detail, their site visits, their professional and friendly approach were probably the best we've experienced. Plus .... the project came in right on budget and we couldn't be happier with the result.

We hired Smith & Ragsdale to completely redo our master bathroom. They stripped the space down to the two by fours and their design and installation were par excellence. They came in on time and actually came in below budget which was a pleasant surprise.

These designers are amazing ladies. We worked with them for over a year finalizing plans for what started out as a kitchen remodel and ended up being the whole first floor...study, entry, dining room, kitchen, laundry, pantry, wet bar. we were especially impressed with their research into how we lived and what would work best for us. It was a pleasure to work with them and have them oversee our project. These ladies are true professionals and paid close attention to every detail we requested.

Abby and Abbey are very talented and wonderful to work with. They have excellent taste. We remodeled all the bathrooms, the kitchen and redesigned the living spaces. The completed the project on time and on budget. We would definitely work with them again.

We went on-line and chose Smith and Ragsdale because of images showing clean and contemporary use of space but with a creative touch of color. The results of our kitchen are spectacular while doing so within our deadline and budget constraints. They took the existing kitchen area and made it much brighter and lighter, using materials and colors that function perfectly for our needs. From conceptual ideas to the most minor details, the job was extremely well designed. The firm was so easy to work with and always respectful of our needs and ideas. The construction contractor and product suppliers were also of the highest quality and a caliber that we had hoped for. I would like to share our amazing experience with Smith & Ragsdale Kitchen Design. We began our home building process in 2014 and enlisted their help to design our kitchen. From the very beginning Abby and Abbey were engaged in the process and dedicated to designing the kitchen of our dreams. Every detail was addressed, including specific dimension of cabinetry and drawers for our dinner and cookware, custom placement for our appliances, and appropriate accessibility to accommodate our family needs. In fact, my wife is a baker, and they spent a great deal of time designing a beautiful appliance wall with various styles of drawers and cabinetry with backsplash and lighting to perfectly store and showcase her bakeware and servingware collections. Their expertise and eye for asthetics resulted in a gorgeous statement wall for our kitchen. Every step of the way during the design process they had a knack for understanding our visions and converting them into reality. After the drawing and preliminary design process, we began to design the appearance of the kitchen with cabinet style and color of our selection, counter top materials, appliances, and tiling that would both be unique but also match the appearance of the overall home. The final product of the appearance was a perfect blend of our preferences and their expert opinion. During the installation process, they oversaw the entire process, from the cabinetry, to the appliances, the decor & lighting, and the counter tops. Their attention to detail allowed for a smooth transition and installation. Lastly, as with any large project, there will always be some issue whether it be minor or major during the process. For our scenario, the sourced vendor did not install the correct refrigerator. To their credit, Smith and Ragsdale, handled this very complicated scenario with great professionalism. They gave us their full support and "went to bat" for us to get the desired refrigerator that we had requested. Overall, we truly could not have asked for a better and more professional service to make the kitchen of our dreams. Our kitchen has met the the fundamental requirement of being beautiful but also incredibly functional. Every aspect has been customized to match our specifications and needs. As a family with young children, we spend a significant portion of our family time in the kitchen. With the help and guidance of Smith & Ragsdale, we have built a space that we will share countless memories in. They truly delivered on producing the kitchen of our dreams!

We started our project with the intent of remodeling the kitchen only. We increasingly became more comfortable with their expertise, professionalism, reliability, and honesty/transparency. We decided to further expand the scope of our project to encompass the family room. Our project is a work in progress and should finish here within the next few weeks. From what we can see, the space has already been transformed to incorporate our functional needs and we have no doubt the finish out will be top notch. They compliment each other so well. Abbey is very technical and has such a deep understanding of both function and design. Abby has such incredible depth in the ability to make sure that the overall details of the design (i.e. material selection, appliances, tiles, paint, flooring, etc..from start to finish) truly transforms the space for the better. We have also retained them to help when needed be the liaison between us and our GC. Having them both plugged into the process has made life much easier and they helped us take some of the burden off in making decisions. Admittedly, we reached beyond our budget to try to incorporate as much of what both Abbeys' envisioned the space to be. I can say they are very respectful of our budget and truly can work with you in that regard. Lastly, we meet and researched many full service design firms and feel as though not many have the design "depth" as these two - look at their portfolio. Their projects speak volumes. The dynamic duo will forever be top of mind for us when we look to do other projects.

I used Abby Smith to help decorate my master bathroom that I totally renovated and update. She is so nice and knowledgable. I appreciated her honesty on what would look better tha I may have thought. The project told a little longer than expected but that was because a few of the subcontractors were delayed. I would hire Abby Smith again in a heart beat.
