Kitchen remodel, apartment renovation, 35 m2 | Berlin | Friedrichshain | 2020 Scope of work: Conception Planning, Furniture Design, Budgeting, Detailed Planning, Sourcing, Contractors Evaluation, Site Supervision ulia and Mathieu are a couple who have lived in Berlin-Friedrichshain for several years. Although they loved their apartment, they were never satisfied with their kitchen and dining area. Although the space was large, it felt cramped. There were many doorways and it was difficult to make it functional. Plus, there just wasn't enough counter space, and it was difficult to find enough room for all of their kitchen utensils. Julia and Mathieu are two wonderful people who radiated warmth and welcome but the gloomy kitchen did not do justice to their personalities. That is why they reached out to me, hoping that an architect would help them better plan their apartment remodel.

Der vorhandene Wandvorsprung wurde halbhoch weitergeführt, um auf der einen Seite einen Anschluss für den Kochblock und auf der anderen Seite für die Eckbank zu haben. Im Kochblock ist ein Kochfeld mit Muldenlüfter eingebaut, seitlich ist ein Weinkühlschrank integriert. Der Kühlschrank wurde in die Reihe der Hochschränke eingebunden, dabei waren die Öffnungsradien zu berücksichtigen.

Pour ce premier achat immobilier, notre cliente souhaitait optimiser sa petite surface en créant de nombreux rangements et en séparant bien chaque espace. Le coin nuit est donc isolé par une verrière et un store pour ne pas le cloisonner et réduire l’espace. On trouve des rangements ultra fonctionnels dans l’entrée/dressing, sous le lit mezzanine ainsi que dans la cuisine. Le bois sombre du parquet que l’on retrouve également par petites touches dans le reste de l’appartement permet d’ajouter du caractère à cette petite surface !

Per una abitazione versatile da destinare al mercato della locazione a breve termine, si è lavorato per un ambiente fresco e spensierato. Un segno orizzontale dalla cromia a contrasto che abbraccia tutta l’abitazione è il principale elemento caratterizzante il progetto.

This total renovation of this fabulous large country home meant the whole house was taken back to the external walls and roof rafters and all suspended floors dug up. All new Interior layout and two large extensions. 2 months of gutting the property before any building works commenced. This part of the house was in fact an old ballroom and one of the new extensions formed a beautiful new entrance hallway with stunning helical staircase. Our own design handmade and hand painted kitchen with Miele appliances. Painted in a gorgeous soft grey and with a fabulous 3.5 x 1 metre solid wood dovetailed breakfast bar and surround with led lighting. Stunning stone effect large format porcelain tiles which were for the majority of the ground floor, all with under floor heating. Skyframe openings on the ground and first floor giving uninterrupted views of the glorious open countryside. Lutron lighting throughout the whole of the property and Crestron Home Automation. A glass firebox fire was built into this room. for clients ease, giving a secondary heat source, but more for visual effect. 4KTV with plastered in the wall speakers, the wall to the left and right of the TV is only temporary as this will soon be glass entrances and pocket doors with views to the large swimming pool extension with sliding Skyframe opening system. Phase 1 of this 4 phase project with more images to come. The next phase is for the large Swimming Pool Extension, new Garage and Stable Building and sweeping driveway. This was an interior renovation of an existing home. The existing kitchen was demolished, new walnut cabinets were designed and installed with white ceasarstone counters and heath tile backsplash. This award-winning classic + transitional + retro kitchen remodel was part of multi-room home remodeling and interior design project. The clients wanted to include some mid-century modern elements, but didn't want the room to feel like a capsule space. We used classic slab door style kitchen cabinets in a cherry finish and a muted aqua color palette in the finishes and custom elements. Another goal was to create a space that would easily convert from small family meals to large holiday gatherings. To accommodate this request, we added a custom booth on the back of the peninsula, a large bar/buffet, a vintage teak table with butterfly leaves, and extra seating bench. To top it off, we added the glamorous gold leaf oversized pendant, which steals the show without being out of proportion to the space.

A baby was on the way and time was of the essence when the clients, a young family, approached us to re-imagine the interior of their three storey Victorian townhouse. Within a full redecoration, we focussed the budget on the key spaces of the kitchen, family bathroom and master bedroom (sleep is precious, after all) with entertaining and relaxed family living in mind. The new interventions are designed to work in harmony with the building’s period features and the clients’ collections of objects, furniture and artworks. A palette of warm whites, punctuated with whitewashed timber and the occasional pastel hue makes a calming backdrop to family life.
