This total renovation of this fabulous large country home meant the whole house was taken back to the external walls and roof rafters and all suspended floors dug up. All new Interior layout and two large extensions. 2 months of gutting the property before any building works commenced. This part of the house was in fact an old ballroom and one of the new extensions formed a beautiful new entrance hallway with stunning helical staircase. Our own design handmade and hand painted kitchen with Miele appliances. Painted in a gorgeous soft grey and with a fabulous 3.5 x 1 metre solid wood dovetailed breakfast bar and surround with led lighting. Stunning stone effect large format porcelain tiles which were for the majority of the ground floor, all with under floor heating. Skyframe openings on the ground and first floor giving uninterrupted views of the glorious open countryside. Lutron lighting throughout the whole of the property and Crestron Home Automation. A glass firebox fire was built into this room. for clients ease, giving a secondary heat source, but more for visual effect. 4KTV with plastered in the wall speakers, the wall to the left and right of the TV is only temporary as this will soon be glass entrances and pocket doors with views to the large swimming pool extension with sliding Skyframe opening system. Phase 1 of this 4 phase project with more images to come. The next phase is for the large Swimming Pool Extension, new Garage and Stable Building and sweeping driveway. The sink area is located in a cantilevered space. The bookcase facing the dining room conceals a narrow plumbing wall between the dining room and kitchen and gives the illusion that the dividing wall has been completely removed.

Simple and linear Dakota cabinetry line both of the kitchen walls. A walnut peninsula and waterfall with antimicrobial stain makes the countertop ideal for making bread. A Bosch 800 Series Stainless dishwasher is placed next to the double under mount sink. An abundance of windows provide natural light throughout the space. At night, pendant lighting, undercabinet LEDs, and recessed can lights illuminate and highlight the beautiful finishes.

Although keen for the cabinetry to have a timeless feel; our clients were keen to inject their personality into the kitchen. We decided the best way to meet their needs was to introduce a pop of colour. The green splash-back and up-stands was a master stroke; this stunning glass feature oozes personality and further adds to the feeling of space due to the reflective nature of the glass.

The new kitchen features plenty of space for the entire family as well as entertaining large groups. Parallel countertops from Cesarstone in a Pebble Honed finish with a flat edge provide a simple look. A 36" Wolf Contemporary Induction Cooktop was routed into the quartz countertop for a flush appearance. Above the cooktop is a Zephyr Duo 36" range hood in stainless steel. A 30" warming drawer was also added below the Wolf cooktop. Plenty of storage space keeps the kitchen organized and ready for serious cooking. The engineered wood flooring from the Mercier Emotion Series is 6.5" wide and has an oiled finish which ties much of the first floor together.

Hidden microwave is concealed by a tip up pocket door. Not wasting precious countertop space in a smaller kitchen is important. The overall design was not compromised by a seldom used but, necessary appliance.
