Архитектурное решение дома в посёлке Лесная усадьба в основе своей очень просто. Перпендикулярно к главному двускатному объёму примыкают по бокам (несимметрично) 2 двускатных ризалита. С каждой стороны одновременно видно два высоких доминирующих щипца. Благодаря достаточно большим уклонам кровли и вертикальной разрезке окон и декора, на близком расстоянии фасады воспринимаются более устремлёнными вверх. Это же подчёркивается множеством монолитных колонн, поддерживающих высокую открытую террасу на уровне 1 этажа (участок имеет ощутимый уклон). Но на дальнем расстоянии воспринимается преобладающий горизонтальный силуэт дома. На это же работает мощный приземистый объём примыкающего гаража. В декоре фасадов выделены массивные плоскости искусственного камня и штукатурки, делающие форму более цельной, простой и также подчёркивающие вертикальность линий. Они разбиваются большими плоскостями окон в деревянных рамах.

外観 車の趣味のご主人のための、ビルトインガレージのある家。 ツーバイフォー構造で車二台分の開口幅を確保するために、「門型フレーム」を採用しています。 ２階バルコニーのほかに、ルーフバルコニーをご希望されたので、片流れの大屋根とパラペットのスクエアを組み合わせたシルエットになりました。 ダイナミックなカタチがシャープになりすぎないよう、ツートンカラーのダーク色のサイディングは「織物」の柄のような優しい素材感のあるものに。

This residence, sited above a river canyon, is comprised of two intersecting building forms. The primary building form contains main living spaces on the upper floor and a guest bedroom, workroom, and garage at ground level. The roof rises from the intimacy of the master bedroom to provide a greater volume for the living room, while opening up to capture mountain views to the west and sun to the south. The secondary building form, with an opposing roof slope contains the kitchen, the entry, and the stair leading up to the main living space. A.I.A. The southern facade faces an extensive lawn sloping to the golf course and views of wooded piedmont hills beyond. Hillside nestles into the natural contours of the site stepping down from the living areas with "trays" comprised of the lounging deck, social patio, lap pool then lawn. Extensive eaves provide passive solar shading of living area and bedroom south-facing, view-oriented glazing.
