We enlarged the openings to the Breakfast/ Family Room and the Sun Room without disturbing the structural walls. That added space for the bar seating the homeowner loved! The homeowners also raved about all the extra space we gained in the kitchen remodel by adding cabinet pantries that created more space for appliances, special glassware and dish collections along with food storage. To do this we removed pantry walls that wasted space. Notice the Travertine Countertops continue up the wall as a Backsplash! We then updated the main level living spaces with their belongings lovingly edited and decorated with attention to detail.

The entry vestibule features an Asian inspired ceiling with contemporary track lighting. The credenza mimics the Asian influence while sporting a dramatic coral sculpture found at a Texas Antiques Fair. An undulating circular mirror finishes the space and reflects the landscape of the entry courtyard.

The goal for this entire home was to design everything in black & white and keep each room interesting, well design, sophisticated and most of all, timeless.
A great entryway sets the tone for the rest of your home and prepares you for what’s next. I designed this entryway to be tasteful well design but bold and dramatic to keep you interested. I wanted everyone that entered this house to start thinking in their mind “I want to see more!”
The lighting and artwork I picked out were all out of my clients’ comfort zone, but they trusted me enough to go with my design. I love it when my clients aren’t afraid to take the risk, it always pays off at end!
Let the Picture speak for itself!

Designed and built by Terramor Homes in Raleigh, NC. The initial and sole objective of setting the tone of this home began and was entirely limited to the foyer and stairwell to which it opens- setting the stage for the expectations, mood and style of this home upon first arrival.

For this client’s mud room I used contrasting tones of white and brown pear wood to keep the space light and open but use the richness of the brown to highlight the colors in the walls and flooring. Something as simple as using your crown molding as an accent shade can make the eye dance.
