The guest bath design was inspired by the fun geometric pattern of the custom window shade fabric. A mid century modern vanity and wall sconces further repeat the mid century design. Because space was limited, the designer incorporated a metal wall ladder to hold towels.

This project is a whole home remodel that is being completed in 2 phases. The first phase included this bathroom remodel. The whole home will maintain the Mid Century styling. The cabinets are stained in Alder Wood. The countertop is Ceasarstone in Pure White. The shower features Kohler Purist Fixtures in Vibrant Modern Brushed Gold finish. The flooring is Large Hexagon Tile from Dal Tile. The decorative tile is Wayfair “Illica” ceramic. The lighting is Mid-Century pendent lights. For this kids’ bathroom in Wexford, our clients wanted to create a space that would grow along with their two young daughters throughout the years. Something that would be fun and playful now, with lots of color — but stylish enough to stand up to teenagers later on. To achieve this, our design centered on classic materials that didn’t sacrifice character: Crisp black and white zellige tile with tons of texture and sheen. A natural, oiled teak double vanity. Bright and clean polished chrome plumbing fixtures. To keep the room from feeling too sterile, we combined a sophisticated blue-green wall paint with cheerful, saturated pops of color throughout the bath linens and décor. Elements that are fun and youthful, that can be easily updated as the girls’ tastes evolve. To maximize function in the space, we added storage at the double vanity with large drawers and medicine cabinets above. Step stools below tuck neatly out of the way when not in use. We also included a tiled “shelf” that spans the full width of the tub in lieu of a smaller traditional shower niche. A super durable, low-profile cast iron tub insert makes bathtime easy — for kids and the family dog, alike!

This guest bathroom remodel embodies a bold and modern vision. The floor dazzles with sleek black hexagon tiles, perfectly complementing the matching shower soap niche. Adding a touch of timeless elegance, the shower accent wall features white picket ceramic tiles, while a freestanding rectangular tub graces the space, enclosed partially by a chic glass panel. Black fixtures adorn both the shower and faucet, introducing a striking contrast. The vanity exudes rustic charm with its Early American stained oak finish, harmonizing beautifully with a pristine white quartz countertop and a sleek under-mount sink. This remodel effortlessly marries modern flair with classic appeal, creating a captivating guest bathroom that welcomes both style and comfort.

Located in one of the Bay Area's finest neighborhoods and perched in the sky, this stately home is bathed in sunlight and offers vistas of magnificent palm trees. The grand foyer welcomes guests, or casually enter off the laundry/mud room. New contemporary touches balance well with charming original details. The 2.5 bathrooms have all been refreshed. The updated kitchen - with its large picture window to the backyard - is refined and chic. And with a built-in home office area, the kitchen is also functional.
