General thoughts: Kitchen is a galley kitchen so space is limited. Unlikely to fit an island. I think we should avoid wood floors in the kitchen and could go with a tile that would complement the walnut wood floor elsewhere . Would ideally like kitchen cabinet doors that fold upwards (bifold) rather than open outwards due to galley layout of kitchen. I originally wanted white shaker style cabinets but am now open to a more modern gloss white (or other colour) kitchen AS LONG AS WE CAN INJECT SOME COLOUR to avoid a sterile look. I still love a wood worktop (despite the limitations).

I like the cabinets but would want a wood worktop to warm it up. Like the glass behind on the wall, but not sure we could copy that? Alternatively a backsplash with coloured tile

This was originally what I thought I wanted - shaker style but now open to a more contemporary high gloss look to counteract old walnut table in dining space.
