Yeah, I don't mind hand-washing either. Just can't imagine putting my enameled cast iron in the dishwasher-plus the one I use most often is 7 quarts and would take up the majority of a dishwasher rack.
CRL-Have you tried Epicurean or Paper Source cutting boards? I'm obsessed. I have about 15 of them in different sizes. Made with compressed wood fibers and dishwasher safe but easy on knives. They're available at Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table.
